Anzère and Les Fétiches chalet

  • 4 of 5

The place is nice and well equipped although a bit small for a family of 6. It was clean and well maintained. The owner was extremely helpful, responding without any delay and going out of his way to make our stay nice and memorable. Snow was not present unfortunately!

The location is perfect, since the free shuttle bus stop which runs very frequently throughout the day (every 15 minutes until 18:00) was right next to the chalet with a stop both in the middle of the village and at the telecabine station. For non skiers, it is worth noting that the telecabine round trip ticket is 15 CHF and can be bought at the departure point of the telecabine. So it is well worth it going to the Pas-de-Maimbré ski resort for the views and lively atmosphere. The sledge slope right in the middle of the village was also a nice add-on, maintained by artificial snow when nature is not there to help. There is also a skating ring. Both sledges and skating shoes can be rented from sports shops in the village. And of course, the spa and wellness with an outdoor heated pool at very reasonable cost (11 CHF for an adult) was a bonus.

Owner's Response: It is always great to have feedback and thank you so much for doing so. We really do enjoy having families coming to stay at our Chalet. Anzère has invested heavily in Snow-Making equipment which makes a big difference if nature has not done its magic. The free Ski Shuttle Bus is a great help, plus the close proximity of the Bus-Stop to the Chalet. The Pas-de-Maimbré terrace and restaurant provide the most spectacular views of the Alps for both non-skiers and skiers alike. The centre of the Village has some excellent facilities for Skating, Sledging, hire-shops, Restaurants, Cafes, and Bars. The Village Square is sheltered which is ideal for young children. Everyone who uses the Spa and Wellness Centre, comment on how much they have enjoyed it.

Great little chalet

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the chalet for a week in August and had a fantastic time. We found the chalet to be extremely cosy and comfortable. Kitchen was small but well equipped. The views from the balcony were stunning. The chalet was a short walk to the resort where the restaurants, tourist info etc etc were located. Everyone really friendly and helpful. Hugh (owner) gave us very clear directions on how to find the chalet and info for days out etc. Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday!

Owner's Response: This is great news that you all had a fantastic holiday at the Chalet. We also took our family summer holiday at the Chalet this year. It is easy to forget in the winter how amazing the Alps are in summer. There are so many trips on offer locally, whether mountain biking, walking, hiking, & swimming. Further away & easy day trips too, are the attractions of Saas-Fee, Zermatt (Matterhorn), Chamonix (Mt Blanc), Grand St Bernard Pass, Courmayeur (Valle d’Aosta), Aletsch Glacier, Lake Geneva, to name but a few. The views are stunning & it is wonderful to spend the evening on the balcony of the Chalet & watch the sun go down over the mountains. Anzère is a friendly family resort, something that the bigger resorts cannot always match. As always you are more than welcome back.

The little 1970's time capsule that is tiny Chalet les Fetiches somehow took the name Chateaux les Festiches ! Although it is small and simple it is the ultimate luxury, peace and quite, well organised, clean, warm and nothing corporate or anonymous. Breakfast on the sunny south-facing balcony a real favourite ....we didn't want to leave. The family and organisation behind this little set up make everything smooth. We could not recommend this place enough.

Owner's Response: Château Les Fétiches! Well that is an honour! Yes the truth is more modest. Chalet Les Fétiches is a wonderfully peaceful and quite spot. The views over the Valais Alps from Anzère are spectacular and the South facing position makes it a very sunny spot all year round. We really enjoy having people to stay at Chalet Les Fétiches and you are most welcome to come and stay again.

Perfect cosy little getaway - conveniently located

  • 5 of 5

Chalet Les Fétiches is super cosy, has everything you need and perfect for a couple. The chalet is conveniently located just beneath the city center, you never need a car, and you still have the most beautiful view over the valley. It was our second stay in the chalet and we would love to come back!

Owner's Response: Firstly it was lovely to have you back again and of course you are very welcome again in the future. Chalet Les Fétiches is a lovely cosy place and ideal for couples too. The Chalet is in an excellent position just below the village of Anzère. The free Ski Shuttle Bus provided by Anzère works very well for the Chalet and allows you to be free of the car during your holiday if you wish. The views over the Rhône valley and to the mountains beyond, bordering Italy and France are hard to beat.

Anzère is a friendly and attractive south-facing village with all the expected amenities of an alpine ski resort for both winter and summer activities. The resort is purpose built and is one of the finest examples of its kind in the Alps. Anzère's new Wellness-Centre, with swimming pool has been very well received, and an ideal way to relax after a day on the mountain.

The Valais Region (Switzerland):

Some of the most stunning Alpine scenery is to be found in the Valais region of Switzerland. At the heart of the Rhone Valley is the historic fort town of Sion, which is 20 minutes away. Other aspects of the region include excellent local wines, thermal hot springs, traditional foods such as raclette, and the local firewater Le William!

Anzère is a medium sized friendly family ski resort. The snow record of Anzère is excellent. There are a wide range of mountain restaurants, with superb views, and great food.

Ski Resort:

Access to many other ski areas is possible from Chalet Les Fetiches. These include Crans-Montana, which neighbours onto Anzère, and on the opposite side of the Rhone is the Four-Valleys ski area, which includes Verbier, & Nendaz. Further a field, are the resorts of Zermatt, & Saas-Fee.
