If you're looking for a quiet beach getaway in a lovely home with only a short stroll to one of the best beaches in Oregon...then look no further – Brigadune in Neskowin is your perfect home away from home!

This three-story, modern classic that sleeps 6 is located in the desirable south beach area of Neskowin, a quiet, gated community. Brigadune is set in a secluded area on nearly an acre of wooded land on a quiet road.

The main level living area has vaulted ceilings with a skylight, a river rock gas fireplace and an HD TV with a bluray player and cable. Enjoy cooking in the roomy well-equipped kitchen with top of the line appliances and granite counter tops. Feel surrounded by the forest as you dine overlooking the woods. In the reading nook there are shelves of books, movies, games and puzzles. The enclosed porch has a view of the wooded area behind the house. Open the windows and listen to the birds sing, or the rain fall while sipping your morning coffee. For your convenience a powder room/laundry room on the main floor has a stacked, front loading washer and dryer.

The top floor has two large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a nice little peek of the ocean through the trees and a king-sized memory foam bed as well as a gas fireplace and an HD TV with cable. You will also find a large, luxurious bathroom with a roomy shower, double sinks and a fabulous claw foot soaking tub. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a large HD TV with cable.

On the lower level is the third guest bedroom suite with a view of the wooded area in back. This room has a queen-sized bed and an attached bathroom. Access to the double garage is from the lower level. In a nook in the garage are two arcade machines, one is an upright with 60 retro games (Pacman, Galaga, Donkey Kong, etc.) and the other is a cocktail table game - Astro Fighter from 1980! No quarters required!

We hope you'll treasure our Brigadune as much as we do.

Sorry - no pets allowed. We have several return guests with allergies.

About Gene and Karen Campbell

We are native Northwesterners who love to travel, but have always loved the Oregon Coast most of all. It has always been our dream to have a beach house of our own and in 2012 that dream became a reality. When we saw this house it was love at first sight.

Gene and Karen Campbell purchased this house in 2012

Why Gene and Karen Campbell chose Coastal Oregon

We looked at many homes all along the Oregon Coast, but kept coming back to this one, the first house we looked at. We just fell in love with the little town of Neskowin with it's friendly people and gorgeous beach, by far our favorite beach on the entire coast. With Proposal Rock to the north and the tide pools and ancient forest stumps to the south, and the most amazingly soft sand, we can't imagine being near any other beach. And Neskowin is close enough to Lincoln City and Pacific City for those times we might be in the mood for a faster paced environment.

What makes this house unique

We love the classic beach house look of the cedar shake siding, the river rock gas fireplace in the light and airy living room and the roomy kitchen with granite counter tops. We also love the claw foot soaking tub in the master bathroom and the lovely little peek of the ocean from the master bedroom. And our son loves the kids' room with the 2 twin beds and large TV with game system.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This beach house rocks. It has so many good movies. The upstairs room has a TV, a huge bed, BIG bathroom and a old style bath. This place ROCKS!

A very comfortable and welcoming home.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It was very well supplied with dishes and kitchen utensils. We had a lovely time enjoying our morning coffee in front of the fire and getting a relaxing start to our day. The rooms were spacious for the most part (the bedroom downstairs is fairly small but has it's own heating so we were comfortable) with beautiful views from the upper bedroom windows. Although it is not a great view of the ocean, the setting is amazing as you are surrounded by trees. We did a lot of walking on the beach and along the various roads in the immediate area as well as touring the countryside with a car up and down the coast. If you are hungry for good food, we would suggest Mo's as well the the Blackfish Cafe, both in Lincoln City. One day, we drove to Salem and enjoyed shopping (about one hour away), as well as visited the outlet stores in Lincoln City.

Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again if we were coming back to

the area.

Beautiful house in a quiet area. Homeowners were great to work with, as well.

This is the most gorgeous house. Beautiful views from every window. Well appointed - everything from linnens, to kitchen accoutrements, to games, movies, and books. We loved spending a few nights here and would highly recommend it.

Enjoy the Ghost Forest with Brigadune

  • 5 of 5

The Brigadune House is well designed, well stocked, and in excellent condition. A lot of thoughtfulness went into the layout and the provisions. It's a short walk to the Ghost Forest and Proposal Rock. Elegant all around. Highly recommended!

You'll enjoy the nearly private beach which is just a short stroll from the house (about a 3 minute walk). It’s a quiet, uncrowded beach with many interesting landmarks and powder-soft sand. Just to the north is Proposal Rock, a picturesque tree-topped haystack rock jutting out of the surf. And to the south lies a unique “ghost forest” of ancient tree stumps that are uncovered in the surf as the tide recedes. These ancient stumps have been carbon dated at 1700 to 2000 years old! Just south of the ghost forest are small caves and several tide pools to be explored at low tide. If you're lucky you'll see a family of sea stars waiting for the tide to come back in! Further north, past Proposal Rock and across Slab Creek, is an excellent surfing beach as well as access to Neskowin Village. The entire length of this fabulous beach is great for building bonfires, stargazing, looking for seashells, spotting seals, and building sand castles.

Neskowin also offers easy access to the famous Cascade Head Trail, which leads you through spectacular stands of spruce and opens to a meadow with absolutely stunning views of the Pacific.

Try your skills at the Neskowin Marsh Golf Course as well as other area courses.

A short drive north will lead you to Nestucca Bay, which is excellent for non-motorized water sports, such as canoeing and kayaking. A few minutes further north is Pacific City, where you can find some fantastic surfing, go horseback riding on the beach, watch the fishing dories land right on the beach, or wear yourself out climbing up and sliding down the famous sand dunes!

Just 10 minutes south is Lincoln City where you can shop, golf, hit the casinos, spas, shopping at Tanger Outlet mall, take in a movie, or dine at one of the many fabulous fresh seafood restaurants. Further south is Depoe Bay, famous for its whale watching, and Newport with its famous aquarium and other attractions including Ripley's Believe it or Not and the Wax Museum.
