Only 5 blocks east of CSU, and a half-mile to Old Town Fort Collins, but in a very quiet & tucked away residential neighborhood with low traffic. Close to the new MAX bus system opening in May 2014, and near shopping, restaurants, Old Town, and Fort Collins tourist attrctions. This brick ranch home was built in 1946 and was recently totally remodeled to maintain the charm of the era with modern conveniences. We now have Central Air Conditioning for comfort from summer heat! Hardwood floors in the living and kitchen areas, carpeting in the bedrooms and tile in the bathroom with an all-new kitchen make it a new house in a vintage feel. Every room has a good-sized window (or 2), and all the house is on one-level.

Bedroom 1 has a queen bed with a memory-foam mattress and a Flat Screen TV (the other TV is in the Living area)

Bedroom 2 has a fold-down futon with a desk area

The bathroom has a shower only (no tub) along with a pedestal sink and toilet. The house has a new Instant Hot Water heater so you'll never have to wait for hot water.

The living area and eating areas are joined and have a comfy sitting area to watch the large flat-screen TV (upgraded cable). WI-FI internet is included.

The kitchen is clean, open and easy to work in. Microwave, full stove, full refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, all plates and preparation utensils included.

There is a full-sized washer & full-sized dryer in the house. There is also a 1 car attached garage with an opener.

The backyard is fully-fenced and private with large trees and abundant small wildlife like squirrels, raccoons, birds and even fox. There is a sitting patio in the back with a gas grill and picnic table, and a small porch with a bench in the front. All great for relaxing at the beginning or end of a busy day!

An automatic sprinkler system was installed in 2013 along with landscaping for efficient water use.

Centrally located and close to so many employers and attractions--Colorado State University, Colorado State Veterinary Hospital, Poudre Valley Hospital, Old Town, Otterbox, Dept of Natural Resources, New Woodward Governor site, and only 3 blocks to CSU University Center for Fine Arts and the flower gardens.

The home is non-smoking only. No 420 or MMJ. Minimum age for renting is 25 years old (children of renters exempt of course). Valid photo ID required for check-in and must match name on booking. No subletting, no large parties. Our house is small and not equipped for large groups.

As a general rule, we prefer no dogs, but we are dog-owners and lovers ourselves so we will consider a well-mannered dog or two with an interview in advance, and additional fee and deposit. Sorry, no cats or any other caged animals. If your dog meets our guidelines, there is a wonderful official fenced dog park only 2 blocks away for exercise and socializing. However, our fenced backyard is great for exercising too.

Why Sharon chose Fort Collins

This house was purchased as a rental property for family, and two of our children have lived in it previously. It has been so comfortable and we all have fond memories there. It has the best of everything and location, location, location!

What makes this house unique

This house is so close to all the action, yet the neighborhood is so quiet. Easy access to main roads. Prospect and College Ave are the closest cross-streets.

Close to Colorado State University with a central Fort Collins, CO location. Quiet, low-traffic residential neighborhood, great for biking, walking and easy access to main streets. Great location, perfect size

I always appreciate a place where my dogs can join me on vacation and that is what we got from Sharon and Ed's rental. The only thing that would make the yard better would be better privacy where the chain link fence separates the rental from the neighbor's yard and their two yappy dogs. The neighbors did seem to recognize that their dogs were a problem and brought them in fairly quickly. The other neighbor had a large dog that barked a lot. But my boys enjoyed romping in the yard when the other dogs weren't disruptive. My Homer enjoyed the grass for lawn diving, Atticus was mesmerized by the squirrels and Fred loved exploring behind the trees and bushes. They all liked the space for running, which they don't get enough of in our tiny yard back home. The house was a great size for us with two bedrooms, one for me and one for my sister. The futon was not the most comfortable thing I have slept on, for sure. My sister loved the mattress in the other bedroom. Wireless was great, the DVD player was handy for us on a particularly rainy day to help us finish season 6 of Game of Thrones. Loved the garage for easily getting dogs in and out of Jane, my wonderful, hearty Prius-V. I really loved the neighborhood and cannot imagine anyone not enjoying this location and this house to rent. Sheets and towels provided, washer/dryer, dishwasher to keep up with keeping things straightened and clean during our stay. Recommended. Thanks Sharon and Ed!

Loved it--AGAIN!

We spent the month of July, 2016 in this home and repeated for the month of July, 2017. Sharon and Ed are fabulous! The location is ideal for us as cyclists--2 miles to Old Town; 3 blocks to the trail system. Our dog loved the large yard and squirrels and birds. It's easy access to the mountains and Denver. The house had everything we needed and was very well-stocked with even some non-essential that were very nice. We will return again next summer!

Loved our stay

What a cute house! The location is great, close to the university, downtown, parks, and city trails. The yard is large and was perfect for our dogs who enjoyed chasing squirrels and sniffing around the bushes and huge tree. Sharon and Ed were friendly and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place

We stayed here for my husband's graduation with our 12 year old dog and 6 month old son. Sharon and Ed could not have been any more helpful, they made us feel right at home and the home was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the front and back porch and cooking a celebratory barbecue. Great stay!

Nice Stay in Fort Collins

The home was perfect for our Fort Collins stay. The house had a nice yard for our dog, good neighborhood for those daily walks. The kitchen was very equipped, the bedrooms and bathroom were comfortable. We had no complaints, perfect for what we needed. Sharon was also very pleasant to work with.

Fantastic, well-stocked home in perfect location

We spent a month in this home and it was fabulous. Quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors, a community library down the street and easy bike access to anywhere in Ft. Collins. We biked the Spring Creek, Mason and Poudre River trails everyday and biked to Old Town often to enjoy that vibrant area. Our dog loved the backyard (us too!) that is private and includes a lovely swing. Owners were really great to work with and super helpful. WiFi was exceptional, bonus cable was nice and we had everything we needed in the kitchen, bath, linens etc and MORE. We showed up, moved in and felt like we were at home! Coming back next summer!
