Very pleasant cottage in pretty little village by the sea. The owner Dimitri lives next door and is very helpful but not intrusive. The cottage is very comfortable with lots of outdoor areas for eating and relaxing. The bathroom is a bit basic but perfectly adequate. Livadi is a small village right next to the sea, there is a small beach and a couple of nice tavernas within easy walking distance. The surrounding area is very peaceful with lovely beaches and beautiful scenery. I think its ideal for families with young children and older couples. I can't stress too much how friendly the owner and his family are.
We loved staying here! We are two American couples who spent an idyllic week in Dimitris' cottage. The cottage is simple yet comfortable with a beautiful garden and views over the orange grove to the sea. Livadi is a quiet village and, though there is no market, Leonidin is a short drive away and has many shops. We took day trips to Monemvasia, Mystra, and the Mani, but I think I enjoyed most our days in the garden preparing our meals, taking short walks and going for swims. Dimitris and Eleni were wonderful hosts, welcoming and warm. When Eleni was unable to tell us English names for some of the plants in the garden, they invited a British friend to help us. We have fond memories and dream of returning someday!
We spend here two best weeks. Livadi is very nice and calm place for relaxation. The property and the house is clean. The owner and his familly are friendly people. I would recommend tris property. We will hark back to this place.

We stayed here from 28 September 2015 for a week and were more than satisfied. Livadi is not for those wanting a bustling night life but for peace and relaxation is beautiful surroundings it is ideal. The cottage itself is self contained with air conditioning, which we did not require in late September, and has all that is necessary, including a terrace with sea view - ideal for leisurely breakfasts! The nearest taverna is only two minutes walk away and is good and very reasonable.
Dimitri and Eleni were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us.
We hope to return!
We were satisfied with everything, especially with the place. Accommodation is very nice and fits the description. I can recommend.
The cottage is 5 minute walk from the sea but there are several other beaches within a few minutes' drive. The town of Leonidion is some 9km to the South Leonidio is ideal for climbing. and the coastal village of Tyros is the same distance to the North - both these have shopping, banking and other facilities. Livadi is conveniently located for day trips to such archaelogical sites as Mystras, Mycaenae, Epidavros, Geraki and Argos. It is also a great base for hill walking - there are several paths and trails in the nearby Parnona range. The local villages - Melana, Pragmateftis, Ano Tyros, Sapounakeika etc are very traditional and provide a chance to experience 'the real Greece' which most tourists never see.
