We took long walks along the shore of Lake Champlain and had the treat of seeing a full rainbow. Thank you for sharing this idyllic spot with us."

Cozy cottage in any weather

  • 5 of 5

Island View was one of the most immaculate places we have ever encountered, and we do a lot of traveling. Anything we needed was available and the notes on how to use appliances, heat, tv, washer, etc were most helpful.

Comfortable cottage for family or even two couples traveling together who are comfortable sharing the bathroom.

The two screened porches were a plus and we originally planned to eat meals on them. However, the weather had other ideas, but still managed to enjoy one night's dinner on the porch.

Berney and John were wonderful hosts. Gave us lots of privacy, but were available if necessary.

Would definitely stay here again if visiting the Champlain Islands.

Would definitely stay here again!

The pictures don't do it justice - this cottage sits on a beautiful property with great views of & great access to the lake! Perfect for a small family, as there is a large yard for the kids to play, including swings. You can easily set up beach chairs on the stone beach at the lake. Enjoyed using the homeowner's kayak & water trampoline! Would highly recommend staying at this property!

Breathtaking

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Windows, fans, and French doors galore kept the temps quite comfortable. The beach front was charming, and us mature adults enjoyed skipping rocks. When there was a short power outage, our hosts offered us coffee. The entire week was relaxing, and we hardly felt any need to go anywhere, except to Hero's Welcome, where we enjoyed a cup of coffee and a danish. We'd go back to this cottage for sure!

We stayed at Island View Cottage for 2 weeks. It was great. House is very nice, very well equipped, very clean, and everything is new. Enough room inside and outside for kids to play. Special thanks to John and Mary, who made our stay very comfortable and pleasant.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

Had a great week at North Hero island. Our owners, Bernie and John were very welcoming and the cottage is just the right size. Very impressed with the cottages efficiency! The lake is beautiful and the huge float made my daughter's day. Thanks for a great vacation.
