Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time and really enjoyed your condo. It was so clean and decorated very well, made us feel right at home! The kids greatly enjoyed the bunk beds (and drawers) and having their own space. I liked some of the little things like how you have the light switches labeled and we loved the sectional in the living room. I would say that there is a lot of going up and down the 2 sets of stairs (with kids at least) so others may have trouble with that, but for us it was kind of nice to think of getting a mini workout in throughout the day. The pools were great as well and your directions were clear. It rained off and on so it was really nice to have a comfortable place to stay as well as use the upstairs covered deck to sit out on even when rainy. We just really enjoyed our stay, can't say enough good things. Thank you for keeping your rental pristine, comfortable and affordable! We want to come back already!

Great Place!!

  • 5 of 5

We were only here for a short two nights but we fell in love with this condo! It was super clean and nice- very well put together. Beach access was a short walk away. I would strongly recommend this place to others if interested in staying on the Island!

Everything was just as described. Pool right out back was great. The beach was right there on property too.

Excellent condo, great trip!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this condo, and are so glad we found it! The owners were very helpful before we arrived, and our deposit was refunded within a week of our return home. The condo was immaculate, and had everything we could have possibly needed, and then some! The location was great...a short walk to the beach, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed for early morning and late night fishing (he was able to buy an AL fishing license online, and bought his bait at Ship N Shore, a short drive from the condo). I enjoyed reading about the history of Dauphin Island in the books at the condo, and it gave us some direction for local sightseeing. We spent equal amounts of time at the beach by the condo and the public beach on the west end of the island (by the elementary school). For walking, fishing, and bird watching, we stayed by the condo, but for letting kids dig in the sand and jumping the waves, we went to the public beach...there was just more room for that over there. We would recommend packing light to that beach (backpacks, wagons, things that roll)...because the walk from the parking lot, over the pier, and to the water was probably half a mile maybe? My family enjoyed The Lighthouse Bakery for cinnamon rolls and danishes (regrettably for myself, there were no gluten-free items on the menu)...but they also had good coffee and tea. Our favorite meal was Miguel's Beach N Baja (across the street from the Dauphin Island water tower). JT's Sunset Grill had great boiled shrimp, and my daughters said their burgers were good. We took a day trip to Mobile (about 25 minutes away?), and then turned south to Orange Beach because it was our first trip to the Alabama coast and we wanted to see as much as possible. We liked it, too, but preferred the quieter and more laid back appeal of Dauphin Island on this trip. On our trip back home, we went through Bayou La Batre, which was fairly close, and enjoyed seeing the shrimping and fishing boats in action (not something we've seen before, so it was interesting!). We just enjoyed exploring and spending our time at the condo and the beaches...the condo was just especially comfortable for relaxing at the end of each day. This condo was an excellent value for the price, and we would definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity to go back to the AL coast!

Great week in a beautiful place!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed 6 full days in this beautiful and well cared for condo... Has lots of ammenities: kitchen necessities, washer/dryer, towels and linens, lots of room, tv/cable, balconies, pretty views, grill, outdoor eating area, place to wash off the beach, private parking, and gated entrance. The property was very clean and quiet. The 2 pool areas were clean and well-maintained and also fairly quiet. The beach access was great, and although the beach (due to past storm erosion) was not as wide or long as the public beaches on the west end of the island...there were no crowds and it was clean and peaceful. Plus, there were great bird watching opportunities from this private and quiet little stretch of beach. The other residents were friendly and helpful and we always felt safe and at ease. Our family loved the close access we had to the beach and pools and other activities on the Island Rainbow ice cream and Skinners Seafood...they are a must when visiting! We loved everything about or stay and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a quiet and easy vacation!

*PS - things like toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap are only available in limited supplies. We were already prepared for this aspect, but for those new to VRBO, be aware and bring additional supplies. :)

Clean, attractive condo with everything you need

  • 5 of 5

The condo has two wonderful balconies. You can see the pool, and the ocean. Everything you could possibly need is there -- pots and pans, blender, coffee pot, games, DVD player. It really was a home a way from home -- very comfortable and attractive. We had a memorable, glorious visit and hope to return. I would recommend to anybody. Wonderful.
