'Larger Family' Colina Branca Townhouse

The Larger Family Colina Branca Townhouse has a comfortably furnished living room/diner with English and German TV and there is a selection of books to read. From the living room there is a large sheltered south-facing sun terrace with a stunning view of the sea overlooking the bay of Carvoeiro. The fitted kitchen is well-equipped with fridge-freezer, washing machine, oven, hob and microwave. On the lower floor, there are two twin bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room and also a full family bathroom. This house also has a small windowless room in which there are two beds which are suitable for children. The house can accommodate up to 4 adults + 2 children. There is a private car parking space outside the front door, and tropical gardens. The property is a short walk to the large communal swimming pool, with ample sun loungers and umbrellas. Within 5 minutes walking distance is the centre of Carvoeiro, with an array of bars and restaurants, plus of course the lovely sandy beach.

Just 5 minutes walking distance from the lively Algarve fishing town of Carvoeiro, Colina Branca townhouses are the perfect base for your holiday on the beautiful Algarve. The spacious townhouses sleep up to a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children, in two full bedrooms plus a 3rd smaller bedroom.

Prices quoted are for up to 4 GUESTS. Subject to availability, additional guests may be accommodated in one of the bedrooms for a supplemental charge of £ 25 per week out of peak season.

All houses have a family bathroom and an en-suite shower room. The houses are situated on a tranquil elevated position enjoying splendid sea and countryside views from their private roof terraces and balconies, and are only metres from the large communal swimming pool and lush landscaped gardens.

Colina Branca townhouse accommodation consists of a spacious living/dining room, well equipped kitchen, family bathroom and either 2 or 3 bedrooms, one of which also has an ensuite.

From the living room patio doors lead to the fantastic South facing terrace with a superb view over Carvoeiro and the ocean, ideal for al-fresco dining or lounging in the glorious sunshine. All houses have a car port for private car parking. Colina Branca has its own landscaped gardens in addition to the communal swimming pool, which are both lit up at night.

The townhouse is situated in Colina Branca which is a small development of townhouses in Carvoeiro. The property is perfectly situated occupying an elevated position with excellent views over Carvoeiro. The property provides both balconies and a roof terrace all of which are ideal for sunbathing, it also benefits from an excellent shared pool, the townhouse was exactly as described in the listing and is within walking distance of Carvoeiro which offers Shops both convenience and others, Restaurants, Bars as well as an excellent Beach. Susie the property manager called during the first day to make sure that everything was OK, the townhouse was clean and very comfortable with excellent facilities. We would certainly recommend this townhouse to anyone and we look forward to returning next year all in all a wonderful holiday. Thanks.

Carvoeiro is a bustling Algarve village with a fantastic array of lively bars, restaurants and shops. The restaurants cater for all tastes, the local Portuguese specialities being fish and seafood dishes.

There are a selection of Algarve beaches close by, some large and busy with toilet and restaurant facilities, some smaller secluded coves, and amazing cliff top walks for those enjoying hiking and rambling. The Monchique mountain, which is the highest point of the Algarve, is just a short drive away, and the historic town of Silves, which was once the capital city of Portugal, with it's ancient castle and museums is also nearby.

For children, there is Slide and Splash water park and Aqualand, both only a 15 minute drive from Carvoeiro, and Zoomarine which is home to dolphins, seals and other marine life. The dolphin show is something spectacular for all the family to see, as well as the high diving show. Other nearby attractions include Carvoeiro tennis club, diving school, riding centre and beauty therapy and massage services.

There are several golf courses within a short driving distance from the townhouses including the SIlves Pestana course, and the famous Amendoeira Golf course which is the largest in Europe, with bowling and fitness centre among it's many facilities. Other nearby golf courses include the Pestana and Gramacho courses at Lagoa, and Morgado set in the Monchique mountain foothills. Slightly further away, but still only a 30 minute drive are courses at Praia da Luz to the West, and the championship course at Vilamoura to the East.

The 'De Luxe' Colina Branca townhouses has two bedrooms plus a small overspill bedroom, without a window, that is ideal for one or two children. By prior arrangement, the house can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 6 people, 2 of whom must be under the age of 16.

All rentals between November and March are subject to a supplementary charge for electricity.

Lovely townhouse in a beautiful seaside town

Had a lovely time at no.6 Colina Branca recently. The townhouse was spacious and very clean with everything we needed. The terraces had lovely views of the sea and the whole family enjoyed the good sized swimming pool which we often had all to ourselves. We enjoyed our short walk into Carvoeiro centre each night where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from but beware the 150 or so steps back up to the townhouse and from the pool. This wasn't a problem for us but may be for someone with mobility issues. The restaurants we enjoyed most were Pashmina (newly opened Indian restaurant with very tasty fresh curry dishes), La Galeria with excellent fresh swordfish and bream and Chef Antonio with great seafood cataplana (stew). The only issue we had with the townhouse was the wifi at the beginning of our stay. We had paid £30 for unlimited wifi (as advertised at the time of booking) but it only became clear once I had paid that I was paying for 35 hours of wifi during our 10 day stay. Once there the 35 hours wifi only allowed us 2 hours of internet. A further £20 was put on the card by Susie when we raised the issue and that lasted 1 hour! It was only when we were able to show a screenshot of the unlimited wifi advertised that we finally got unlimited wifi for the remaining 6 days of our stay. As anyone with three teenagers can imagine, the lack of wifi did not go down well. We also run a small business and chose the property for the unlimited wifi so that we could manage our business banking and accounts while away. If booking again I would get a guarantee that wifi is unlimited, although I see that is no longer advertised for the townhouse. Having said that the house itself is lovely and in a great area of Carvoeiro, so we would be keen to return as long as there were no wifi problems.

Owner's Response: Dear Annice, thank you for your kind review. Regarding the wi-fi issue. As explained while you were here, the problem had nothing to do with a screenshot that you showed us, the problem was a malfunction with the internet router and after a couple of attempts to restore your internet service, we took the device to the shop that provided it who fixed the problem, after which you experienced no further issues for the rest of your stay. Unfortunately during June 2017, when data roaming became free of charge throughout Europe, ALL Portuguese internet providers ceased to offer an unlimited internet package. This only became apparent during your stay, therefore we have since stopped advertising an unlimited service as it can no longer be provided. If any other property now advertises "unlimited internet" the owner or manager should read the small print on their internet contract because it no longer exists here, not at this moment in time anyway. This was beyond our control and something that no-one had foreseen, but we continue to provide the best possible internet package to our guests under the circumstances. None of our other guests have had wi-fi issues in any of our Colina Branca townhouses, it was an unfortunate equipment malfunction that caused your internet problems for a few days, and it was resolved; it could just as easily have been the TV, the fridge or the washing machine that suddenly broke down, these things sometimes happen and are beyond our control but we always rectify them as fast as possible. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable stay

I'm just back from a 9 night stay in Susie's 2 bedroom townhouse in Colina Branca. It was impeccably clean and very comfortable, loads of hot water, towels, sun umbrellas etc for myself, husband, 2 kids and parents. The bedrooms were plenty big for sharing as we had our two children in with us on a pull out bed and cot. The pool area was also spotless and we enjoyed many an afternoon on the well-kept sun loungers. One consideration (not necessarily a negative) is the extremely steep hill from the town up to the townhouses - it is perfectly manageable for any active person but could be a problem if you had mobility issues. Having said that, the house was very close to the beach and main square so was worth it for me (and taxis are very affordable if you didn't have a car)! Would have absolutely no problems in recommending Susie's townhouse and would look forward to staying again in future.

comfortable house, great position!

Clean and well equipped house with all you need for your holiday. Position was great, a short stroll into town, restaurants etc. and view of the sea from the terraces. Rosa was very helpful getting us a bbq and checking we had all we need. Carvoeiro was lovely and we enjoyed our stay very much - thank you!

Great Apartment, will definitely go back

Having stayed in Carvoeiro last year, we knew the area and found the property to be actually bigger than we expected. It was very well equipped inside and there were ample sun beds on the terraces/balconies. The terrace leading from the living area was of a good size, and had a fantastic view down to the beach and out to sea.

The sun terrace on the roof was an excellent addition, which caught the sun all day and, as our property was on the top level, was not overlooked and very private.

Being on the top level meant that there was either a steep hill or 150 steps to contend with from street level, but we were aware of that and you have to expect that in Carvoeiro.

The range of restaurants in the village offers a great choice for eating out, and we had a great meal and friendly service everywhere we ate -only eating in the house twice, and going to Taste Restaurant twice, thoroughly enjoying it both times.

The pool area for the properties was on the bottom level, again bigger than we expected, very well maintained, but surprisingly quiet on most days - probably due to the short distance from the beach - which was great.

Had and great 10 days, we should have booked longer and will be back.
