The beach house that felt like home

  • 5 of 5

Board Meeting surpassed all of our expectations. Rick met us at the property and took the time to show us around and point out all of the extras. We immediately felt comfortable like it was our home at the beach. The home was well appointed and had everything we needed. We were traveling with two small children so the high chair, portable crib, baby gate, beach buggy and sand toys really came in handy. Cooking was easy with all of the conveniences from home. Steps to the beach and the views were wonderful. We just loved sitting on the balcony listening to the ocean. We were so excited to be able to use the pool in September. We enjoyed many hours by the pool - with a sound system, refrigerator, grill, half bath and and outdoor shower just a few steps away you really didn't need to leave that level. We are very happy that we were able to rent board meeting and would rent again without hesitation!

Perfect Beach Rental

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time renting a place through VRBO and were very excited for our vacation after reading the reviews of past guests who stayed at "Board Meeting." The property met and exceeded all of our expectations during our stay. Richard met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house, explained in detail things we would need to know about the house, and Nags Head. He also had a fruit bowl and some amazing coffee waiting for us.

Board Meeting is a beautiful house for a vacation rental and the layout is well designed. The house is very clean and everything was in perfect condition. Linens were provided by the owner and were top quality as well. The house is well equipped for cooking, entertaining little ones, and providing a relaxing environment for the adults. We had 5 children with us and each of them were perfectly content if we never left the house. They all spent hours in the pool even though the beach was just a few minutes away.

Board Meeting is perfectly located for vacationers. The beach was a very easy walk and made even easier with the wagon they provide to guests at the house. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys were all available to use. Every morning I would walk along the beach having my cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. It was close enough we could all go back to the house for lunch to avoid sandy food. Right next door was our favorite ice cream place, a perfect spot for after dinner. There was also a Food Lion for groceries and wine about 5 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants and shopping as well in close proximity.

The owners live close by and were attentive, but never intrusive. If there was an issue I am certain they would have responded quickly, but thank goodness everything went smooth during our time in Nags Head. Overall we had the perfect vacation during our time at "Board Meeting." I think my family would have been more than thrilled to move in permanently! We hope to visit "Board Meeting" again next summer. Thank you to the Kittrells for your amazing hospitality.

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was beautifully furnished and very clean. Everything we could possibly want was provided. The grounds were lovely and the pool area was spectacular. It was so nice to be greeted by Richard (the owner) and given a tour of the property. We never thought much about elevators but soon discovered we love them! It was conveniently located to restaurants, stores and beach access. We can't wait to stay there again. Keith & Linda Frazier Norfolk, VA

A Fantastic Week

  • 5 of 5

Our second year staying at Board Meeting and everything about the home is first-rate!

Family loves the quiet area and pool is such a relaxing place after a day at the beach. Views from the decks are awesome and Rick has thought of everything one might need. Immaculate condition of the home impresses us. Teenage boys loved every minute of it and our daughter was either in the ocean or pool most of our visit! My wife and I have started our search for a retirement home at OBX because of the wonderful visits we have had.

Close to The Wright Brothers Memorial and The Lost Colony for those who enjoy history. Grocery store is a short walk, bike ride, or drive away. Wonderful location to reach fabulous restaurants in a few minutes. Beach access is about a block away and the owner has thought of everything you need to enjoy a day (or week) at the beach. Cart, umbrella, chairs, etc. Music by the pool and cooking on the grill were great ways to wind down after sun-filled days.

My family and I can't wait to rent Board Meeting again next summer.

This cottage is a 5 out of 5 star stay.

The cottage THE BOARD MEETING was everything it was advertised to be . Dealing directly with the owners instead of a real estate company was great , The whole rental process from booking till check out was a great experience. Upon arrival we were met by owner

given the keys and quick tour to show us everything and how everything worked. We found fresh fruit and coffee waiting for us in the kitchen.

So many extras that were not even advertised. Super clean , beds made lots of towels, Close to shops, ice cream and restaurants and short walk to beach. We have been renting cottages at the outer banks for over 30 years and highly recommended this cottage to anyone.

Rick and Vicki made us feel welcomed . Thanks for the wonderful vacation.
