My name is Gregg Mathis. I am a 4th grade teacher at Forsyth, MO. I started renting the cabin in the summer of 2012. Hope you get to come to Branson and stay at my cabins!!
Gregg Mathis purchased this cabin in 2012
On the spur of the moment we found this little gem and I must say its everything we were looking for. The cabin was well maintained and of course the view of Lake Taneycomo was amazing waking up to. The beds were comfy, the furniture and decor were up to date. Also Gregg provides nearly all the amenities such as sheets, towels, pots & pans so no need to worry about loading down the vehicle with all that mess. We are all looking forward to our next visit. No more hotels for us!
Loved the cabin. Everything was there including coffee, filters etc. Bring your wine and relax. Firewood for the fire was also a plus. We never left to go anywhere. Peaceful, relaxing and very enjoyable. We sat for hours in the rocking chairs with light music in the background. Walked to the dock and sat and watched the eagles and falcons both evenings we were there. Greg is super easy to deal with. You won't be disappointed. Just book it and go.
My wife and I and our 2 kids (10yrs and 20mos) stayed here in June 2015. Gregg (the owner) was great! He met us there with the keys and visited for a few minutes. He joked with the kids and was one of the friendliest people I've ever met. The cabin is exactly as advertised. It was so peaceful there we saw deer in our side yard 3 out of our 5 nights! The lake is right across the road and there is a dock with a canoe to fish from. Downtown Branson is about 10 minutes away so it's a quick drive to all the shops and restaurants. Gregg made a special trip to our cabin after my wife told him I wasn't having much luck fishing. He showed me how most people rigged their poles and a couple other ideas. The cabin itself has everything you'll need except your food. Pots, pans, silverware, plates, mugs, coffee, spices...everything! It rained a couple of evenings but it wasn't a big deal thanks to the wifi and Dish Network. The King bed is upstairs and the Queen is downstairs. I slept upstairs with our 10 yr old boy and my wife slept in the queen with the baby. if you're going with a baby/toddler I'd recommend bringing a baby gate for the stairs. All in all we were completely 100% satisfied with this cabin. It was a pleasure doing business with Gregg.
Rented cabin from Gregg for Valentines weekend. Cabin was perfect, close to lake, and close to the city. There was a little market and pizza/sub place only 15 minutes away for last minute items & the pizza was delish! The cabin was neat and clean and the beds were comfy. Gregg was a great host! Would highly recommend for fisherman, those who want to enjoy Branson, but want some privacy & quiet too. Price is right!
Love this place, husband and I rented a cabin for 2 days to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. It was beautiful inside and out. You can just walk across from cabin to docks and fish or just watch the wildlife. We took a short drive to a lil' place called Beverly's for an awesome rib-eye dinner and drinks. Mr. Mathis is very sweet and accommodating to his guests. There are 3 different cabins he offers and you will not be disappointed at all. I highly recommend this as a must visit. Very close to shopping, shows and all Branson has to offer.
Two couples for three nights and this was the perfect spot. Close enough to Branson for girls' shopping, close to the water for guys' fishing. The cabin is properly describe in the ad. Truly only need food, clothing and personal items. Kitchen is fully equiped but if you oppose hand washing dishes, take disposables as there is no dishwasher. We found the WiFi and satellite TV to be great bonuses. There is a private boat ramp and dock within walking distance. The meadow separates the cabin from the water where we saw deer each morning. The drive into Branson is not too far to have the benefit of such a peaceful place to stay. It was easy to find using our GPS. I suggest grocery shopping before you leave Branson as the local grocery store is quite pricey. There is a Dollar General Store close which has a decent grocery section. Owner is very polite and welcoming. We'll be planning another trip soon! Owner
