Saint Augustine Townhome Rental Photos and Description

Oceanfront Fully Furnished 2/2.5 Vacation Rental - Just Steps from the Beach

Beautiful OCEAN FRONT St Augustine Beach vacation rental townhouse in Spyglass Condos. Sit back and enjoy the sounds of the waves as the ocean breeze cools you off from a day at the beach.

This lovely Crescent Beach vacation rental beach house has 2 bedroom, 2.5 baths and a fully equipped kitchen. The 3-story condo sleeps 6 adults comfortably. The master suite upstairs has a king sized bed with private bath, and faces the ocean, with spectacular views of the beach. The second bedroom has two single beds, with a separate full bathroom for guests. The couch in the living room folds out to a comfy queen sized bed, so there's plenty of room for all!

This St. Augustine vacation rental by owner boasts a balcony off the living room on the second floor, equipped with table and chairs, directly facing the ocean and dunes. Our beachfront condo has everything you need from linens, silverware, flat screen tv's, internet access, private washer/dryer, coffee pot, microwave and a blender for those frozen cocktails on your private oceanfront veranda.

In addition to having your own full size two car garage and parking space in front of it, there's guest parking spaces available as well. Walk outside your door and within a few steps you have the community's private beach dune walk-over, with sitting/viewing areas as well as access to crystal clear community pool and tennis court.

This lovely unit has everything you need, just bring your suitcase and toothbrush, and you are set!

Take a stroll through beautiful downtown St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States. Dining, museums, boating, unique shopping on famous St. George Street are just some of our favorite activities. The night life is vibrant and unique with Ghost Pub Tours and many upscale lounges for an evening of enjoyment. Horse drawn carriages complete the city's mystique.

St. Augustine is only a 20-minute drive over the famous Lions Bridge from Spyglass Condos.

A mile and a half south of the condo is one of St. Augustine’s natural treasures called Matanzas Inlet. This tidal river mouth into the ocean is one of the last uncontrolled natural inlets on the east coast of the Florida. This area is known for fantastic fishing, stand up paddle boarding, surfing and boating. But beware of strong currents depending on the tide, wind and swell conditions.

Golf enthusiasts will love teeing off on the finest signature courses Florida has to offer, all within easy access. And, the famous World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame, is just 25 minutes away.

There are many parks in St. Augustine providing beautiful scenery, walking and biking paths. The intracoastal waterway is perfect for the boating, fishing, and kayak adventurers. Many rental shops and guides are available for you to enjoy these pastimes.

Marineland is a city unto itself and only a 10-minute drive south from Spyglass. It opened in 1938 and was the first ever oceanarium in the US. Adults and children alike love visiting Marineland and swimming with the dolphins!

About Penelope McCormick

We live on a barrier island off the coast of Florida. We are interested in preserving our pristine coastal environment and the creatures that live here. We are so lucky to live in this area of Florida. Our beaches and intercoastal waterways are not crowded and are still like old Florida.

I am studying to become a master naturalist. I also love the history of St. Augustine, founded by Ponce De Leon in 1565. Our city is small but very rich in tradition and history.

I am interested in other cultures and have taught ESL and cross culture communication for 25 years. I belong to the Sister Cities organization and love to travel, especially to other countries.

Penelope McCormick purchased this townhome in 1990

Why Penelope McCormick chose St. Augustine Area

We have been coming to St. Augustine since we moved to Florida. We originally bought our property when we moved out of Florida and we wanted to preserve our roots here. We now own a house 1 mile south of Spyglass.

If you love the beach and the clean waterways of Florida this is where you want to be. We have not been overdeveloped and we exert every effort to protect and preserve the area. We are 2 miles from the University of Florida's Whitney Lab and Marineland. Graduate students and oceanographer continue to study and do research here.

What makes this townhome unique

Spyglass is located in between the intracoastal and Atlantic Ocean. We like to think that this part of Florida is a lot like old Florida. This is a place to relax, walk the beach, fish in clean waters, and enjoy a clean wide beach. There is surfing, standup boards, and kiting. We are so lucky to have preserved this area for future guests.

Took the kids and had a great time! Condo is clean and the owner is super nice....told us to them know if we needed anything (only 5 minutes away). It is an easy walk to the beach or pool....both very nice. Great view of the beach! Great area....lots to do and see! Couldn't have had a better time! Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay!

  • 5 of 5

It was a very "at home" feeling. It was very comfortable for my 87 year old grandmother and my mom and me. The view from the porch was breath taking. A lot of nice people around the neighborhood who lived there. I highly recommend.

First of all, this is a great beach. Love the beach. This unit smelled musty/damp when entering. Not sure if it was all the carpet and humidity, but the smell was unappealing. The unit was sufficient and had a good view of the ocean, but it needed remodeling. Badly. At the end of our stay, I called the owner to verify check out instructions. She asked me to strip sheets and start a load of laundry. I decided to go ahead and wash all the towels, fold, and put them away, then I followed all the other instructions. The owner let me know, after I left, that she'd be keeping $50.00 of my deposit because the unit was dirty. She said it took longer to clean. I disagree. We did use it for the week, and there was some sand etc, but I left the until in good shape. I feel as if I was taken advantage of. I let the owner know I disagreed.

Owner's Response: We are sorry that Ann was disappointed. We make every attempt to have the condo clean and fresh when new guests come in. There are no leaks and the carpet gets cleaned frequently. The state of the condo was reported to me by our cleaning team. They are very professional and have been cleaning for us for years. I visited the condo and agreed with them that it would take at least an extra hour or two to get the condo ready for our next guest. I spoke with Ann, but we did not agree. I believe $50.00 was a reasonable response to the condition of the condo.

Seaside Oasis

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay at the Seaside Oasis. We were fortunate to stay for two months this trip! The best part of the trip for me was my daily coffee on the deck watching the sunrise over the ocean. The best part of my husband's day is catching his Pompano in the surf for dinner. Our days were usually on the beach shelling, fishing, reading and walking. St Augustine is a wonderful area with lots of historical places to visit and some great restaurants too. The condo is well stocked, comfortably decorated and the landlord is always nearby and helpful if needed. We look forward to returning next year

Come and enjoy what the US oldest city is all about. We have everything from fantastic restaurants and bars, to ghost tours and museums....including our very own Ripleys Believe It Or Not. Come tour the San Sebastian Winery or the Alligator farm, but if you're really adventurous check out the wild animal preserve. This is not like any zoo you've ever been to. In addition to all normal beach activities found throughout the US seaside towns, you know the usual beach bars and shanty's, we also allow driving and horesback riding on the beaches here....even your doggies are allowed on the sand as long as you are considerate and pick up after them. We have incredible boutiques with jewelry, clothing, antiques and art. We also have a tremendous amount of vintage clothing stores. We have an Aveda Salon and The Outlet Stores too. So after a day at the beach or shopping downtown, jump on a horse drawn carriage and take a nice romantic ride around town and end up at a fabulous restaurant and end your day your way!
