About Denise Rossano
My husband and I have been together since we were teenagers and have always made our way up to Pennsylvania from New York for the past 32 years. We accidentally found Jim Thrope when we picked up a brochure for mountain biking. When we turned into the town we couldn't believe how beautiful it was. As we took our first step into this house, we were in love. I hope you will have wonderful memories, adventure packed weeks or just stop in and fall in love all over again!
Denise Rossano purchased this House in 2011
Why Denise Rossano chose Jim Thorpe
Besides the obvious reasons of beauty, the history of the house and its location, just sold us.

Beautiful home !
This place is beautiful & comfortable. Incorporates Victorian furnishings with modern amenities. Denise is great & very helpful & accommodating. The private parking behind the rental is a BIG plus considering the lack of parking in Jim Thorpe. My friends & I have been renting this place for years.
Wonderful Vicorian!! Had a great stay with great family and friends. I would definitely return in the future. Thank you
Beautiful Victorian. Lots of Charm.
Dead set in the middle of Jim Thorpe. Park your cars and walk to everything. My party had a fabulous getaway. The shops were great. (Bring cash for discounts). The restaurants ranged from Pizza Joints to fine dining. We stayed during Winter Festival. The streets had a number of ice sculptures. The bars had Ice Bars outside. It was very nice. We plan on coming back in the fall to take the old train ride and see the foliage. If you’re not into old trains I wouldn’t take it in the dead of winter. There’s really nothing to experience other than the train itself. All in all a great long weekend. A beautiful old Victorian house with a lot of character and charm. Denise (the owner) was very reasponsive to any inquiries. We had zero problems. Five star all the way.
We love the red mansion! Beautiful and roomy. Denise is wonderful. Very easy communication. Always look forward to our annual Jim. Thorpe trip.
Beautiful town, beautiful rental
My family and I absolutely loved our stay here. Being right in the middle of Broadway was such a great experience. The house is such s grand old lady, we loved the antiques and especially the hardwood floors. She is a little leaky being as old as she is but the temperature was steady and perfect, we had no compaints with the air. We only had 2 very small issues. One was with the skillet provided in the kitchen (which was otherwise provisioned excellently), it is in dire need of replacement. The other, 5 rolls of toilet paper is a tad insufficient for 6 people over 5 days. Overall, 5 stars!
Steps away from The Mauch Chunk Opera House, fine restaurants and entertainment. Amazing outdoor activities to choose from like hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, paint balling, festivals to name a few. Walk through the village in downtown Jim Thorpe, shop at our unique vintage shops, visit our numerous art galleries, Take a tour of the Asa Packard Mansion or our beautiful St. Marks Church with its stunning Tiffany windows. Walk or take historic tours on a Segway. Take a 25 mile train ride through the most beautiful mountains in Pennsylvania or take a ride into the coal mines and hear all the history of our coal miners. Lakes, parks & trails everywhere surround you.
