We are a family who have vacation in Palm Springs for many years. We have stayed in most areas of coachella valley but were alway drawn back to the beauful Old Las Palmas area for the quiet, romatic beauty of this home.
Debra Fields purchased this estate in 2012
Beautifully updated 1937 Spanish Hacienda with wood floors in main living area. The rest of the home has the original mexican satillo tiles. Stucco outside with the beautiful red tile roof. Property is walled & gated for privacy. Large yard with private pool. 4 Large fountians, fruit trees and spectacular mountain views. Home completely remodeled 2015.
Exclusive area of residence. Homes of famous celebrities past and present are abound in the area. We offer help in corporate planning and retreats. We can assist with catering services and event planning. Nominal fee.
Perfect for a wedding party or family reunions and get togethers.
Celebrated our 25th Anniversary at Hacienda de Campos. The building. Grounds, facilities and host and hostess were world class. They were helpful with whatever we wanted. Caterers, bar service and band said location had everything they could need. We shared cocktails, sit down dinner and a small brunch next day with 60 friends children and grandchildren. Sue and I stayed in master suite and out of guest took other rooms. All were great. With hotels nearby everything went smoothly.
We enjoyed it all and would recommend to all for a get away or event.
My wife and I truly enjoyed the experience of the Hacienda, being there with our hosts. This location was perfectly situated within a 5-10 minute walk to downtown Palm Springs, close to many restaurants and museums. We appreciated the privacy of the bedroom wing and the expanse of the pool and spa area. The completely applianced kitchen allowed for meal preparations and direct access to the pool deck.
The owners were congenial and supportive for all our needs. We would certainly return on ur next trip here and recommend this hacienda for vacationers in the Palm Springs area.
If I could choose zero stars I would.
I will not go over the full list of issues as we would be here ALL day. I chose to have my wedding at this location. Jim and Debra were very kind in the early stages in fact all the way up to the actual weekend.
It started with the rehersal and the fact that they last minute changed their minds as to where we could put our tables, etc after months of planning. Control freaks to say the least. Why were they even there??
They attended my wedding in their pajamas and went up to every single vendor I had to change something they were doing. They made myself and my wedding planner cry all night long.
Save yourself the trouble - go next door to this house and pay the 5k extra for a professional wedding venue. These people will not leave this house even if you are renting it and will micromanage every single thing you do. Threaten you, and just all around stress you.
For this price and the price of my wedding I could have done so many different things!
Save yourself the trouble. Go somewhere else!
PS many pictures on their actual website were from my wedding that I had to ask my lawyer to take down. They went on to my personal FB page and stole them for their own personal gain. And still...some are still there.
My wife and another couple rented Hacienda. The location was perfect for a combination business trip and vacation. We attended meetings at nearby hotels but were able to escape the crowds and return to our Shangri-La. We entertained a small group of business associates and the place was perfect. We enjoyed the hosts who were there when we needed them and otherwise gave us our privacy. We will defiantly return and would recommend the Hacienda to any and all. We will probably see if we can arrange a large business related event here.
We came to Palm Springs for Moderism Week and the house was perfectly situated to all the events. We rented bikes and were able to ride to lectures at the museum in just 5 mins. We also walked (10-15) to restaurants & shopping, and drove when needed. (free parking everywhere.) The house itself is great. Spacious, pretty, private, great pool and a lovely patio/yard filled with fruit trees and towering palms. The historic neighborhood is special and it's fun to see houses owned by current and former celebrities. This house also has an interesting history. The owners, Debra and Jim, are very helpful and will tell you about the area. They are there if you need them but also very quiet, using a separate entrance, etc so you're not even aware they are on the property. We'll definitely go back.
My family rented this beautiful 1937 spanish hacienda for 2 weeks in May- the home recently had been updated lovely new kitchen with indoor out door bar. Unbelievable saltwater pool. Walled and gated for privacy. Made us feel like we were part of the glamour of old hollywood. The property had a seperate casita with completely seperate parking and entrance. The owner stayed in the apt- she checked us in and was gracious and helpful then we did not see her again until it was time to leave. I would recommend this home for anyone wanting the perfect experience in palm springs. Walking distance to downtown and museum. The best spot to stay in ps.
Completely remodeled and updated Hacienda de Campos is a walled and gated estate in the beautiful neighborhood of Old Las Palmas. Lush grounds with 6 fruit trees on nearly an acre of private secure bliss. Bike or walk on Las Palmas loop that leads around neighborhood through all the beautiful historic estates. The residents diversity: Hollywood movie stars, musicians, industrial tycoons, designers, producers, mirror architectural styles that meander from Spanish to very trendy Mid-Century modern.
