Oak Knolls Village Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sleeps 10

Vista View is a beautiful, secluded cabin in the mountains south of Prescott. It is just 3 miles from downtown Prescott but you feel like you are a million miles from home. This property is a 3 bedroom that sleeps 8 with 4 queen beds. There is also a hide a bed in the living room and a blow up mattress available. Three full baths are included: the master bath with tub/shower and double vanity, a hall bath upstairs and a full bath downstairs. You enter this cabin in to the lower level and climb a staircase up to the main floor. The master bedroom, second bedroom, kitchen, dining room, living room and deck are all located on the upper level. The most magnificent feature of this home are the views in every direction except the southwest (that’s where the mountain is!)Evening sunsets are beautiful with Thumb Butte as a backdrop. Northern views reach 100 miles all the way to the mountains near Flagstaff. East is Prescott National Forest with hiking and mountain vistas. The kitchen, dining room and living room are open and airy with high ceilings, wooden beams and lots of windows. A wood burning stove is cozy for chilly winter evenings. A Bushnell telescope is set up for star gazing at night. The kitchen is modern and upscale with dark, faux-granite counter tops and a dishwasher. The kitchen is fully stocked with a dishes, pots and pans. Everything for coffee, tea and hot chocolate helps get your day started. The cabin has SAT TV and free WIFI. Ceiling fans are in every room and the property has central A/C and heat. Internet is available to keep you connected to the world. The large, downstairs bedroom has a queen and a full bed. The washer/dryer is located down here along with a full bath with tub/shower combination. A fenced area is just outside the kitchen/dining room and gives your dog a safe place to play. A nice deck wraps around two sides of the cabin to take advantage of all of the views and quiet solitude. This cabin is extremely private and the only sounds you hear are the breezes in the trees and the birds in the sky. The cabin backs up into National Forest and you can hike right off the property. There is a somewhat-steep, dirt lane leading up to the concrete driveway. There is an upper parking area but has a sharp curve to get there. There is a lower parking area for those that want to use it. Arriving after dark and inclement weather can make getting to the cabin more difficult. But once you get here you will feel it was all worthwhile. While there is no house phone you should have good cell service. The cabin is unique because it is located high up on a mountain in a secluded area, back-door access to the National Forest and is only 1 mile to Goldwater Lake.

Thanksgiving Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a nice Thanksgiving getaway with some friends. This cabin was spacious, clean and decently equipped in the kitchen. With 6 adults and 2 dogs, it never felt crowded. Everything was clean and orderly. The area is quiet and relaxing, with trails to hike right behind the cabin. Great price and a great stay. The driveway is steep, so the comment about needing 4x4 in wintery weather is not a joke. A 4-door, long bed truck is probably not the best choice to get up the driveway as it has a very tight turn.

Girl's weekend

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I , 9 in total, had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean, well supplied and in great condition. It was close to town and only a $10 taxi ride to Whiskey Row. The only challenge was that we had to leave two of the three vehicles at the bottom of the hill. This was not an easy walk with coolers and luggage. Four wheel drive is definitely useful to park next to the cabin. If not, be prepared for an invigorating yet exhausting hike. Thanks for a fabulous weekend!

August vacation

  • 4 of 5

My wife and two sons had a great weeks long stay at this vrbo in prescott. The house is at the end of a dirt road on a hillside in a quiet neighborhood. All utilities work well and the kitchen was well stocked with all needed amenities. We spent many a night having dinner on the deck watching the sun set and just enjoying our natural surroundings. Trails are easily reached from the house and town is only ten mins away by car. The driveway was a tad steep but nothing our Ford Flex couldn't handle. And we felt the advantage of a tree top setting outweighed any disadvantage of driving up the hill. All in all we had an enjoyable stay with no negatives about our house. Thanks again for letting us stay in your home.

Secluded in pine tree canopy with picturesque views and dog friendly

  • 5 of 5

My wife I rented this fabulous cabin for one week to celebrate our anniversary this year. We had the most relaxing, tranquil vacation ever. The pictures of the cabin on VRBO represent the Vista View Cabin perfectly. It was extremely clean, spacious and had every amenity possible. The views from this cabin are truly amazing, we spent hours on the immense deck just admiring the natural beauty surrounding us and enjoying the peace and quiet. It is located high above the other homes in the area so it feels as if you are insulated from everyone even though you are only minutes from town. We spent our days hiking the various trails right outside the door and our evenings cooking in the well-appointed kitchen as well as enjoying the fires we built every night in the wood burning stove. The owner of this Amazing Prescott Cabin was amicable, courteous, informative and expeditious in all of our transactions. We would recommend this beautiful place to anyone wanting a hassle free vacation in a picturesque setting.

Gorgeous views!

  • 5 of 5

This place was nice and clean, and just as depicted. We had 5 adults and three kids, and never once did we feel crowded. The layout is nice (lots of privacy with three bedrooms/bathrooms), and the cabin was well appointed (linens, stocked kitchen, baby gate in a closet for the stairs). The driveway is steep, as others have mentioned (our minivan made it up no problem). This location was close to downtown, yet felt like it was deep in the forest. The views are simply amazing!

Beautiful view

  • 5 of 5

The cabin has beautiful views of Thumb Butte and the valley. Easily accommodated our extended family of 7. Very secluded and private. Getting to the cabin might be tricky if snowy or icy as there's a hilly patch of dirt road.
