2 bedroom apartment with spectacular views across Cala Tirant beach and headland. Access to the beach approx 500 m from apt. The apt is accessed via some steps leading down pathway to the front door.The apt opens onto communal gardens with a short walk to communal pool area. There are bars and shops within easy walking distance and public transport is available from bus stops a short walk away. The property is approx 2 Km from the picturesque harbour of Fornells with its numerous bars, restaurants and shops.

There is one modern spacious bathroom with a combined shower and bath also toilet and bidet,there is also a washing machine . The kitchen is all electric, with refrigerator, microwave, oven, hob and ample cupboard space.

The bedrooms are a good size with the larger having a double bed and fitted wardrobes and the other room 2 single beds and fitted wardrobe, both with views of the garden and/or sea.

Lounge/Dining area includes 2 +3 seater sofa, TV with Spanish and limited uk channels, Fireplace, dining table & 4 chairs.


Apartment Layout: The apartment is accessed down a series of steps (approx 20)passing through landscaped garden leading to the front door. The property is on two levels, the upper level has the Kitchen, Living/Dining Room. The lower level is down 4 steps to the Bedrooms and bathroom. The property has a barbeque area and a sun terrace adjoining the living room. Both terraces access onto the terraced landscaped gardens and enjoy sea views.

Communal Pool: The property has the use of a communal pool approximately 5min walk from the apartment. The pool consists of a shower, childs pool and larger pool more suitable for swimming. They are surrounded by a grassed area suitable for sunbathing

Unfortunately we have come home in Holland today. Cold and wet. I cannot find the proper words to decribe our feelings about Menorcas and the appartment.

Absolutely fabulous, fantastic! We loved the appartment, even nicer than we could possibly ever think of.

A week is too short, hopefully we will be back some day.

Cosy with great views

Quiet cosy little apartment with great views looking out towards the bay, perfect for evening chilling. Kitchen is small with only enough room for 1 , but as there was only 2 of us it was not an issue. Apartment was clean, bed was comfy and everything we needed was provided. Owners were flexible with timings which was great for us (many thanks Gill/Stephen) We never bothered hiring a car as local buses are excellent. Apartment is halfway up a hillside so be prepared for a few steps. Good choice of restaurants with great views within 300 yards. 20 minute walk to Ses Salines and a restaurant with large balcony to watch boats and other water activities. 40 minute walk to pretty port of Fornells.

A lovely accommodation set in beautiful gardens

We have stayed in this property twice now and if we return to Menorca will definitely try to book this property. We have stayed in other apartments and hotels but this is our favourite.

This time we stayed in June as opposed to August. The accommodation is clean and has ample space for all four of us. The cooking facilities in the apartment are great.

The property has a plenty of areas to sit in and out of the sun. The views are lovely and look directly onto the beach and bay. My wife and I would be quite happy to read and look at the view all day. The gardens are lovely with lots of colour.

The beach is great and very quiet. I think it is one of the best kept secrets on the Island. At the back of the beach is a small lake which the kids love to go to as it has turtles in it. My son and I love snorkelling from this beach. Although quite it is possible to rent water sports equipment such as paddle boards and there is a scuba diving centre near by.

The pool is set in the gardens and although it is small this has never been a problem for us as we often have it to ourselves. My kids are 11 and 8 and are very positive about it.

We hopefully will be able to return to this property as we have enjoyed it so much. The management team have a place on site and are very friendly and helpful. The owner is very swift at replying and has been very nice in his correspondence.

I can confirm I have no competing interests. I would recommend this accommodation to other families or couples without kids.

Bonito apartamento en una buena zona

Alquilé este apartamento después de haber visitado la isla en 3 ocasiones anteriores, pero esta vez en Fornells, porque queda en el centro de la isla y tienes todo cerca...y fue una muy buena decisión!

El apartamento contaba con todo lo necesario, cocina muy bien equipada (aparte de lo habitual, contaba con pelador, rallador, batidora, etc) y todo muy limpio. Nos costó llegar al apartamento porque sólo encontrábamos la parte de la terraza, y no veíamos la puerta de acceso que queda por detrás, pero una vez localizada, teníamos el aparcamiento en la calle de atrás a pocos pasos y perfecto. Mencionar que íbamos con un bebé de 18 meses y en la zona hay muchas escaleras, e incluso dentro del apartamento hay 4 o 5 escaleras para separar comedor y habitaciones, e iría bien una barandilla para evitar que los niños bajen las escaleras sólos; pero vigilando no pasa nada... Por otro lado los jardines eran preciosos, pese a haber muchas escaleras.

El dueño del apartamento me contestó por email al hacer la reserva de forma ágil y rápida, y muy amable; así como Gill, la chica que gestiona la propiedad; y todo sin problemas. Lo único que se agradecería es que no cobraran un extra por una cuna o trona...eso es lo que menos me gustó.

Pero gracias a los comentarios de otros clientes me decidí a reservarlo, y volvería a repetir sin duda., así como lo recomendaría a quien quiera estar en una buena zona y un lugar agradable.

Respecto la zona de Fornells donde está ubicado, es una zona tranquila. Hay un supermercado para lo justo, porque es muy caro y 2 restaurantes a 100m-150m donde se come o cena bastante bien.

Destacar en Binibequer (un bonito pueblo para visitar) el restaurante El Faro, donde se come de maravilla con menú y un buen pescado y marisco fresco. Y sobretodo recomendaría visitar las playas de Macarelleta, Turqueta, Mitjana, cala en Brut, Cavalleria y Pregonda (si se quiere caminar), así como ver la Cova del Soroi a la hora del atardecer.

We are a family of four (children aged 9 and 7) and this was an ideal base for our stay in Menorca. We have been to Sant Tomas a couple of times before but wanted to stay outwith a large resort this time, being in search of a bit of peace and quiet, good food but with ready access to a beach. We also wanted to be fairly central so that we could have day trips out and about. Playa de Fornells was just what we were looking for. The apartment is not huge but benefits from everything that you could ever want in a self-catering property and did not feel too small. The bathroom is modern and clean and the shower good and refreshing after a day at the beach. The gardens are very pretty and the pool is excellent (not within sight of the apartment so you do need to accompany the kids). It is just a short walk to good restaurants or a five minute drive to larger Fornells for a larger selection of restaurants and a spot of better quality tourist shopping. There are a couple of supermarkets in the resort - the one at the bottom of the hill being the better stocked. The beach is probably a ten minute walk from the apartment - a really lovely beach that was not busy at all when we visited in early July. We also took the kids to the water park down the road at the hotel. It is possibly too tame for older kids/teenagers but perfect for our girls and they enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend morning coffee and ensaimadas in Es Mercadal, too. Lots more that I could add but I hope you get the picture - great base for trips out to sample all that Menorca has to offer.

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Wir verbrachten Ende Mai zwei wunderschöne und erholsame Wochen im Apartment von Mr. Thompson. Die Buchungsformalitäten sowie der Kontakt vor Ort waren problemlos. Gill von " Proberty Services" antworte umgehend auf Anfragen. Das Haus selbst- eingebettet in hübsch blühende Gärten - liegt ruhig und und etwas erhöht mit grandiosem Blick auf die blaue

" Cala Tirant" und die unverbaute Landschaft. Fast wie eine Theaterkulisse...Man kann zwischen zwei Terrassen wählen, am Vormittag hat man hier noch kühle Schattenplätze. Ausstattung : Alles, was nötig ist, komfortabel eingerichtet. Zur Anreise stand Wasser, Milch, Butter und Toast bereit-Danke für diesen tollen Service! Einzig: CD-Player und Deutsches TV wäre schön. Aber es ja Urlaub...Also absolut empfehlenswertes Apartment mit 100% igem Erholungsfaktor!

Weg zum schönen Strand 10 Min. gehen. Sehr gutes Restaurant " Café del Norte" um die Ecke, Supermarkt teuer, lieber Mercadona in Mahon oder Ciutadella wählen! Fornells ist ein beschaulicher, ursprünglicher Fischerort, in 10 Min per Auto erreichbar.

Nicht unwichtig: Die Anmietung eines Autos am Flughafen bei "Ownerscar" braucht Geduld- langwierige, umständliche Prozedur!! Aber günstig!

Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub! Überhaupt ist Menorca immer noch ein Geheimtipp, vielseitig und gerne auch mal das Auto stehen lassen und wandern. Traumhafte Landschaften und türkis schimmernde Buchten.

Un lugar excelente

Mi marido, mi hija y yo alquilamos este apartamento por siete días en Julio. Nos gusto muchísimo. Playas de Fornell es una zona de apartamentos preciosa. El apartamento en Garden Villas esta muy bien. Vistas a la playa desde la terraza. Camas y sillones muy cómodos. Cocina bien equipada y en buen estado. Se puede ir andando a la playa. Hay restaurantes y pequeños supermercados al lado. El único problema que tuvimos fueron las hormigas que salieron en la habitación por una grieta de la pared el primer día. Pero lo solucionamos enseguida echando insecticida un par de veces y no las volvimos a ver. Si volvemos a Menorca volveríamos a este apartamento. Disfrutamos muchísimo nuestras vacaciones.

Set in spectacular gardens much visited by coach tours and overlooking the wide sandy bay of Tirant which even in high season is relatively tranquil and unspoilt. The sea is shallow and ideal for paddling. Around the bay are marshes and headlands which make up part of the UNESCO bioreserve of which Menorca is duly proud. In the immediate vicinity are ruins dating back from the British occupation of the island in the 17th century through to neolithic stone monuments. Fornells is 2 Km away and is well worth a visit to see this popular harbour and tower and perhaps enjoy a meal and a drink.

The island is only approx 60 Km from end to end and should you have access to a car, is easily explored. Recommended visits are to Mahon the capital and Ciutadella the old capital of the island, both of which display interesting harbours and unique architecture.

Don't forget to explore inland which offers a more tranquil setting with villages set in green fields surrounded by stone walls.
