2016 Summer with Sopris

  • 5 of 5

What can we say that has not already been said in other reviews of this house? We rented this home for 3 months - the longest we have been away on vacation. My husband and I shared this home with one other adult couple so to have two private masters was a big plus! During our time there, we had several sets of guests come and go - groups varied in number from two to nine. Bedrooms and baths accommodated all and did so with comfort and privacy. The back patio and view of Mt. Sopris has to be one of the best in the subdivision. Magnificent! The location of this home was so convenient and is one of our many reasons we chose this home. Golf, tennis and the club pool were just a short walk away. The short distance to town made riding bikes back and forth appealing. The house itself is equal to the beauty of its view of Mt. Sopris. Second to none! I cannot impress upon you how comfortable and well equipped this house was. It was a home away from home! In addition, the grounds manager was extremely helpful and available whenever needed. He was a pleasure to have met. To rent this home was the best decision we could have made.

We have only been home 2 days. Good to be home but we so miss that house and view!

Houston, Texas

JASW summer of 2016

  • 5 of 5

We spent two months at this beautiful home this summer in order to get out of the heat and humidity of Houston.

The accommodations are comfortable, spacious, well equipped and beautifully located in the River Valley Ranch suburb which has wonderful golf, tennis and pool facilities.

A bike ride from all of the Carbondale restaurants and the shuttle bus to Basalt and Aspen.

Beautiful views of Mt. Sopris from the comfortable rear patio where we spent many an evening in the spectacular weather.

Would we do this again, you bet! it was a fantastic house in a fantastic location.

I want to go back in the winter!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of the house do not do it justice. We had 3 generations of our family in this fantastic house. You will not believe the kitchen and has every gadget in the world. I ice cream maker, double waffle iron, professional mixer just to name a few. This place was made for entertaining. We have never rented a house equipped like this even top line bar glasses and wine glasses.

You could spend a week just looking at the art in the house. Fantastic beds and linens. The place was sparking clean. Plus to have to masters in the house is something you just don't find very often.

We loved the game room downstairs with ample seating for everyone around the huge TV. Great pool table also.

But the best was the outdoor terrace. When you walk in the house the view will take your breath away. We all ate outside on the terrace. Plenty of seating around a Fire place which we used every night. Glad is was gas no hauling wood around. They even have a built in top of the line gas grill. You can cook steaks in 6 minutes.

Don't pass this house up. You will love the location, views and how well it handles a large group of people. Who ever cleans this house does a bang up job. Also great house manager who is very helpful.

Great family vacation destination

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautiful house for a 3 generation family vacation with a group of 9 (7 adults, 2 young kids) in July. It is a beautiful location - amazing views of Sopris, lovely golf course community, good proximity to activities and attractions throughout the valley. The home itself is spacious with high-end finishes. There are 2 master suites, private bathrooms for each bedroom and 2 living room areas, making it comfortable for a large group to spread out. It is very we'll equipped (technology, appliances, cooking equipment) and has lovely decor. We especially enjoyed cooking in the modern, gourmet kitchen and sitting by the outdoor fireplace on patio which is literally steps from the golf course and has an incredible view of the mountains. We would happily stay there again and highly recommend the property to friends.

Reunion gathering

  • 5 of 5

We were a large group who needed a place to stay for a nearby high school reunion. The accommodations in the house were beyond our expectations. The well-stocked and efficient kitchen enabled us to host dinner parties and group breakfasts. The common areas were comfortable both indoors and out. We had a fabulous time and I would go back to this house in a heartbeat.

Best house we've rented in Colorado!

  • 5 of 5

We've been skiing to CO 4 times with another family. 4 adults and 7 kids (8 this time incl. a boyfriend). By far this house is our favorite. Top of the line everything. Kitchen and selection of cooking gadgets is incredible, super huge island with cooktop, 4-ft walkways all around, 2 dishwashers, even had a 2-at-a-time rollover waffle maker. Downstairs bunkroom (2 twin over full bunks) and bedroom (queen bed) and large game room with pool table and 70" hdtv kept the kids occupied and out of our hair! Master bedroom is fantastic, as is the 2nd master which takes up the entire top floor -- no jealousy if you go with another family, both are super nice rooms (although only the main floor master has a heated toilet seat!). Most beds have heated mattress pads and excellent bedding. Wi-fi throughout the house. Laundry room off mudroom with washer and 2 dryers. Nice living room setup with fireplace, and the view of Mt. Sopris is spectacular!

We skied at Snowmass, which is 27 miles and about 40 minutes away. Yes, we would love to be ski in/ski out, but a house like this on the slopes would be crazy money. One day we took off from skiing and visited Glenwood Hot Springs, about 15 miles have to go there, whether it's apres ski or on a day off, incredibly relaxing (and popular).

Brian the leasing agent was very responsive before, during and after the rental, best service we've ever had. Thanks Brian.

Only thing this house lacks is a hot tub.
