Having traveled to many places worldwide looking for a tranquil, scenic country in a warm climate to build a vacation home, I knew that Grenada would satisfy all my requirements when I experienced the unselfish kindness of the Grenadian people. The fact that it has a year-round perfect climate -- making ideal sailing conditions below the hurricane belt, besides being English speaking, and just far enough off the beaten track while easily accessible to major US and European airlines -- is a bonus.
In addition to the breathtaking view and the convenience of an on-site lap pool, the area offers nearby beaches, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, scuba diving around the island at many bays, hiking, waterfalls, herb gardens, wildlife, numerous flowers and a variety of birds.
Everything was great including Bentley.. Fell in love with the island enough to look into real estate but couldn't find anyplace to compare to yours.. We will be back. Let us know if you choose to sell :).
Beach nearby is nice. The restaurant there is recommended,
If you are a skilled driver and like a challenge, you can tour the island.
Recommend going to the fish market about 1/2 hour away and grill at the home.
A well appointed and superbly situated contemporary house sitting atop a ridge with easterly views over La Sargasse Bay and westerly views over Grenada Marine. The heat was tempered by the constant breeze enabling us to eat every meal outside overlooking the excellent lap pool.
Excellent location, quiet yet convenient.
Great location, kitchen was well equipped, pool was fantastic.Views from all rooms great.
Local beach was well protected from wind and waves were small. No need for Air-con as constant breeze coming up the hill. Great location very quiet.
We agree with the glowing reviews below. Spending time in Grenada is a tremendous break. This is the ideal setting: away from crowds, close to a fine beach and restaurant at La Sagesse, and a half hour to St. George's, Grand Anse or Grenville. The design is modern and elegant. We cooked 3/4 of our meals, and found the kitchen a pleasure to use. All the logistics were smooth as silk. National Colors Day in Grenville was one highlight!
A great place to relax and unwind. To reiterate what the other reviewers have stated, we found that after several days we didn't want to leave the house and pool. The views are simply mesmerizing. The fact that you can either walk or take a short drive from the house to a beautiful bay with a great restaurant made it that much harder to leave the area.
We returned to this lovely house for the second time as we loved it so much .The house is a dream ,beautifully designed ,comfortable ,stylish without being over the top .The views are stunning ,the pool is lovely .It is restful ,calm and peaceful .Its location is prefect as it is way form the busyness of the south get close enough not to make trips too long .There is easy access the lovely beaches ,rainforest walking and touring.Yet its actually quite hard to leave the house.
