Tucked away in a quiet old neighborhood yet close to the plaza makes this a great place to explore from and return to for a quiet evening. Private patio/garden fenced area for sitting out and enjoying our cool Taos evenings. Private, charming area. Excellent walking area.
We came to Taos to enjoy the fall colors but found ourselves really enjoying the town of Taos. We walked, shopped, dined and in the end viewed the owner's paintings at Act l Gallery. A great 3 days in a sweet apartment in the perfect location. Our dogs loved it too - a private patio/garden to explore and stretch their legs and then stretch out for a nap.
Thanks, we'll be back!
It was a lovely place to stay, quiet and secluded but just a few blocks from plaza. It was nice to have an outdoor space with BBQ and hot tub, organic food co-op just a few blocks away where we could purchase fresh locally grown vegetables. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Taos area!
This property is in the middle of it all! Walkable to the Plaza, Taos Inn, and so many galleries and shops. The apartment was tidy, but the bathroom could use a little TLC (paint, fixtures, etc.). It was quite wet the weekend we were there and the only entrance being off an alley made for some VERY muddy shoes. Kate was incredibly responsive when we needed help with getting the heat turned on. Overall the location and low cost made this a great fit for us!
Overall we felt that the place was comfortable and was good for the price. The location to town is perfect and we enjoyed being so close to everything. The private patio was nice - we cleaned up the table and chairs since the weather was nice enough to be outside. I suspect that when the yard is cleaned up in the spring it would be a great place to hang out.
The bathroom is very very small - and the shower is tiny for even an averaged sized person - so just be aware of that. The bathroom could use some updating (peeling paint, new toilet seat).
It wasn't a big deal though. Again, the price is very good for the space.
The kitchen was good - had all the cooking things we needed.
There is a unit upstairs and if anyone walks, it's pretty loud in this unit. It was ok, but for a light sleeper, it would be rough.
Overall our stay was good. Communication prior to our arrival was great. During our stay we never had internet and reached out about it. It wasn't ever resolved but we never found ourselves needing it so it wasn't a big deal in the end.
If you want an affordable place with kitchen, you can't beat this.
The space is small but clean and as advertised. Hot tub is great after a day of skiing! Location is convenient for downtown and El Prado. We had a good stay.
I would have given this property more stars, however, had difficulty in communicating with the property owner for arrival and check in information. This little studio is good for the price. Nothing fancy, but has a small kitchen for cooking, comfortable enough bed, and the hot tub was a definite plus. The bathroom is very small and the shower even smaller. Overall, you get what you pay for. Comfortable and clean, but nothing fancy. The issue I did have was with communicating with the owner. On confirmation of my booking I received an email stating I would get further info regarding how to check in prior to our arrival. The day of our planned arrival I still had not received any information. The previous night I emailed and asked how to check in, no response. I emailed again around noon the day I was to arrive asking for information and left my phone number. Long story short, arrived in Taos after a long road trip with still no email or information on how to get in to this studio! I didn't have a number to call or anything. We decided to drive by the place and thankfully caught the cleaning lady, Jennifer, who was incredibly helpful and showed us around and gave us a key and said she would be done in the hour. If we hadn't caught Jennifer I don't know how on earth we would have gotten in to the studio. The rest of our stay went smoothly, but pretty disappointed in the initial interactions.
Charming and affordable spot in walking distance to Taos. Super spacious with pretty much everything you need for a weekend or even a week including full kitchen. Hot tub in the backyard is delightful. Heads up the shower is pretty tiny (tough for tall folks like us!) and the door requires a little finessing to operate. We had a great stay!
This area is rich in history, art galleries, theatre, parks and areas to walk and enjoy. Thursday evening music on the plaza, events at the park, favorite local hang outs, unique shops and local color are all an easy walk in our cool evenings.
