We have vacationed on the lake for 15 years, and in Colchester for 11 since the birth of our son. It is an ideal location for an active family looking for a vacation spot that lets you spend your time relaxing and having fun!

Three amazing weeks!!

The property is clean and well equipped. It is close to many recreational activities, and of course the lake is just steps from the front door. Great neighbors and plenty of fun for all.

Perfect Vacation Home

Cozy and very comfortable house! The owner thought of everything you might need during your stay. The kitchen is well stocked, the house is clean and the owner is very accommodating and helpful. Definitely recommend it to everyone!

Great location!

Great little cottage within an easy walk to the lake. Our family of 4 had a wonderful time. Everything in the cottage is updated. The location is fantastic. Just outside Burlington proper but an easy bike ride into town on the trail.

Pros and Cons

On the PRO side the owners were extremely responsive in answering questions before and after we booked, and addressed concerns quickly during our stay. The kitchen and bathroom have new appliances and fixtures and the entire cottage is extremely well equipped. Beach chairs, beach towels, soaps, and paper products were all supplied. The owners offered the use of a pack and play and welcomed pets. The proximity to the lake and causeway are wonderful! I wish I had known before we booked... The queen bedroom actually has a queen box spring and a full size mattress, making for smaller sleeping arrangements than we had expected. The living room furniture is old and soiled. This may be great for a family with lots of kids, but seating was less than comfortable for adults. Although the cottage was clean, we were visited by mice daily, which was a health concern as we had a baby with us. The owners were EXTREMELY helpful, coming by with d-con and stopping in most day to clean the droppings themselves. They explained that this can be a common concern in cottages without foundations.

Expectations Exceeded!!

We are just returning from a one week stay. The owners were great and very responsive. The pictures do not do it justice. It is an adorable house with great views. Everything is available for you there, you could come with your clothes and food and be fine. The home is bright and airy and incredibly clean. The beach is a one minute walk. One of the best things about this stay is the community, everyone is so friendly. We can not wait to return next year.
