The best of both worlds: the ultimate location of ski-in, ski-out coupled with the convenience of being right at the base of the upper village (Blackcomb) with its shops, restaurants, grocery store and liquor store. This lovingly furnished condo is in a complex with a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and spacious common room. The living room has a new 42' Flat Screen TV, comfortable sofa that converts to a queen-sized bed, an armchair, fireplace and a SONY stereo with an IPOD dock. The rental or the condo includes an underground parking spot.

The kitchen is fully equipped and the kitchen table seats four comfortably. The bedroom has a king-sized bed that can be split into 2 single twin beds upon request prior to arrival. The bathroom has both a tub and a shower.


Blackcomb Benchlands is right at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. It is a 2-minute walk from Glacier Lodge to the Wizard Chairlift or beginner Magic Chairlift. It is situated amongst the shops and restaurants at Blackcomb base and next to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Hotel.

This lovingly furnished condo is in a complex with a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and spacious common room. After skiing, relax in front of the new 42`flat-screen TV or put your ipod in the docking station and sing along to your favorite tunes (`cause it`s really embarassing if you do it with earbuds).

When you book this great unit you are not only getting a great unit, but our great service. We also provide our long term local knowledge and concierge service to arrange for you your transportation, discounted pre booked lift passes, equipment rentals and ski school, activities, dinner reservations, massages. Glacier Lodge is one of the best locations being right at the base of Blackcomb Mountain and being walk in walk out and ski in ski out. Unlike other ski in ski out properties up high on the mountain that have to take a bus or drive to come to the village, here you simply walk right out your building and are already at the base. Glacier Lodge has acclaimed Ciao Thyme restaurant that does great breakfast and dinners, and The Fitz Pub that is a cozy and comfy small pub that fits only 25 people and has a couple of sofas and board games and is family friendly. Beer/liquor store inside the building and small convenience/basic groceries store across the street.

Excellent all round

A little background - we're a family of 4 from the UK, who made our own way to Whistler and needed to book an apartment for our 7 night stay. We booked through Whistler Wired. We were a little concerned at booking everything at such a distance, but we needn't have been. Here's an a few extracts from an email sent to Whistler Wired on leaving - which says it all I think:

'In a nutshell, brilliant. The first surprise was Pacific Coach, who gave us a seamless transfer between Vancouver and Glacier Lodge, and the second was yourselves, who had purchased our lift passes in advance and done everything possible to make life easy for us. - we hadn't realised quite how close we were going to be to the lifts and to the equipment hire shop (who spoke very well of you, incidentally).

The apartment was great - no complaints there - and we count ourselves lucky to have spent the week there.

We're delighted to have booked everything through yourselves - it made life very straightforward for us. I'll post a few positive messages on your Facebook page, which nearly put us off, as that is very misleading and needs a counterbalancing message.'

Further to that email, I'd emphasize that the location of the apartment was a real surprise - so close to the Blackcomb lifts that it's virtually ski-in ski-out, a couple of restaurants close by and also only a short walk from Whistler Village. Possibly the best location in my 30-odd years of skiing. The apartment itself was clean and tidy with an unusually big and well-equipped kitchen area, and yes, we would be more than happy to go there again.
