Fully self sufficient log home, located in prime location near wineries, golf, casino, and lakes. Lancelot Lodge is a custom built log cabin situated on 6 private acres of beautiful pines in the Sierra’s historic Gold Country. Accessible year round, the 3200 square foot cabin has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, full walkout basement and sleeps 12. Internet and WI-FI available, your home away from home. Enjoy skiing, wine tasting, site seeing, hiking, fishing, boating and much more just minutes away. No Tahoe traffic with just a 2 hour drive from the Bay Area.
This beautiful cabin was built in 2008. We bought it from the original owners as a weekend getaway for us and our 4 children. It reminds us of the home we used to own in the Black Forest area of Colorado where all of our children were born.
Michelle Chan purchased this lodge in 2008
This property is on 6 secluded acres in the Sherwood Forest area of Pioneer. We have so missed the smell of pine trees and the forest setting. This cabin has all of the things that made us homesick for Colorado.
The log construction and beautiful furnishings of this home along with it's setting gives us such a peaceful and relaxed feeling. We are only 4 miles from the nearest grocery store but on a private forested lot where you feel you are part of nature.
Just stayed this past weekend. A great place to hide a way and just enjoy your family. Spacious living area and plenty of room for 10 to sleep very comfortable. We really enjoyed the deck and bar-be-que. The only draw back to this great venue, is the drive on the gravel road and even that was doable. Michelle was great!
This is our go-to place to get away with friends and family. The house has lots of great common space - easy to all hang out in the great room around a roaring fire while parents are making dinner and kids play board games. And the bedrooms are cozy if you want to curl up with a book (or to crank out some last-minute work - the WiFi is solid too...) I'd never stayed in a house "off the grid" before, but the instructions are easy to follow, the generator kicks in if needed, and we've cooked fantastic meals in the kitchen. The location is terrific - Pioneer is right off 88 (though the house is secluded in a lovely quiet area in the woods, with lots of open space to roam), about 45 minutes from Kirkwood and only 2 hours from the Bay Area.
The owners are wonderful to work with - super-accommodating and friendly. Can't recommend highly enough!
What a spectacular & out of the way location, and a gorgeous property. As someone else noted, the final 100yrds of road to the cabin is a _little_ bit challenging for citydwellers (gravel & elevation), but it was fine after we put our Nissan Cube in low gear. Overall - a wonderful place to chill out, with plenty of local wildlife (woodpeckers, deer, etc), being off the grid but with full amenities is great. There's some fun (fairly local) places to go like the Tiger Creek Reservoir & even Jackson, which has a cute little downtown. But the main draw is just hanging out in the cabin, and that rates 10/10 - still trying to work out how they got the gigantic panes of glass and the beams down here! Thanks again.
My church small group stayed in this cabin for 3 days and all of us enjoyed every minutes we spent in this vacation rental. It is a very beautiful and quiet place for a group of people, and outdoor activities around this area are also perfect for us.
This is not a cabin - it's a beautiful custom built log cabin home. High end touches abound, from the state of the art kitchen with granite counters, custom cabinetry, and a professional 48 inch range. Bathrooms are all equally luxurious, and the home has great flow and huge Windows offering views of the pines. It is situated in a little grove, surrounded by Tahoe pines - it's a gem!!!!
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful log home. You are surrounded by the forest and wildlife, a place to totally unwind and rest. The kitchen is ideal to cook in, there's also a great bar-b-q, and we enjoyed dinners on the deck watching deer roam around the property. We took a drive to Bear River resivoir and Tiger Creek, both great fishing spots. Cute local shops not too far away. We were a party of four but I can see multiple families enjoying this home together, plenty of beds for 10. The owner is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Very happy with our choice to stay here!
