Welcome to Peace of Heaven
Come experience rural Hawaii, just 45 minutes south of Kailua-Kona. Get away from the traffic and lights to gaze at the stars. Enjoy the peace and quiet; watch the dolphins and whales off the lanai. It is only steps to the very private Pebble Beach.
Kayak, scuba dive and snorkel on one of Hawaii's best kept secrets or you can take a great 15 minute hike to two black sand beaches where you can swim with the turtles. A King's trail will take you to an ancient cinder cone crater rim.
Bring the kids, have cookouts and stay in my awesome new home with amazing Hawaiian and Pacific Rim decor. The house has five bedrooms, each with a lanai, four bathrooms, a Jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, a den, a gourmet kitchen and a playground with a fort for the children.
We are close to many of Hawaii's treasures. It is just 20 minutes to the City of Refuge and the Captain Cook Monument. The green sand beach at south Point is 30 minutes away and it is a 90 minute drive to Volcano Park.

This is my dream home, which I'm happy to share with my guests.
My place has some of the best snorkeling and kayaking on the island. Many guests say it was their favorite vacation ever!
Deanna Olivier purchased this house in 2004
The location is rural, you can see the stars at night. Away from it all, just a Peace of Heaven.
The bay is a place of birthing for the whales during whale season. If you hear strange noises at night, it is their mating sounds.
2014 our bay became a conservation bay, now a place where fish are left alone to replenish.
This is certainly is not a house, but a home. The unique decorating evoked a very special feeling from the hand painted murals to the stained concrete floors& artifacts from around the world. At the end of our days exploring, it was always a welcome relief to be enveloped by our Peace of Heaven. The perfect name for a perfect place. I felt sorry for the other tourists I'd see, because they didn't get to stay here & how could their stay have been as nice.
This spectacular vacation home is perfect for Big Island visitors who want to use it as a base for exploring the volcanoes, rainforests, and coffee plantations of the island, or for those who simply wish to stock the refrigerator and while away the days napping to the sound of crashing waves, reading a book on the deck or basking on the adjacent beach. Ms. Deanna Olivier is the gracious owner of this gem of a property. Her professionalism was immediately evident in her prompt communication when I was setting up the reservation. Once the reservation was finalized she sent a packet with a list of what to pack, suggested sightseeing destinations and recommended dining options.
Ms. Olivier is not only the owner of this home, she is also the talented interior decorator responsible for the décor which fuses the tropical island setting with images of the Indian subcontinent. The house is spacious with every amenity necessary to make this a true home away from home. The kitchen is well furnished and every utensil is exactly where you would expect it to be. A large deck with tiki torches and a grill wraps around the west side of the house which allows for elegant al fresco dining while watching the sun set over the ocean.
The property is not only stunning , but is unique among Big Island rentals in that it provides an oceanfront location with an adjacent beach. Much of the Big Island’s shores are composed of rugged volcanic rock, but the small beach next to this property allows for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing away from the crowds. The home has an abundant supply of snorkels, masks, and fins in all sizes to fit the entire family. There are also kayaks and boogie boards available for guest use.
I don’t think I could have found a more comfortable setting on the Big Island for my family’s Spring Break vacation. The size of the house provided our teenaged children ample space of their own, and the proximity to the ocean offered endless leisure opportunities for all. I only regret that we never actually met Ms. Olivier to thank her in person for her hospitality during our stay in her elegantly appointed beach home.
The pictures of this place do not do it justice. When you drive down the long, very steep and windy road to get here you wonder what you are getting yourself into and then you open the door to this beautifully decorated house (reminded me of what I would imagine an expat house in India looks like) with views of the ocean from the dining room, kitchen, and one of the bedrooms, lanais everywhere, a hot tub, a hammock...it is amazing. We were a family of 8 - 2 little kids (5,9), 3 grandparents, and 3 adults. The house easily accommodated us sleeping wise and never felt crowded. It was clean and well stocked. My kids loved being a hop away from the pebble beach and played in the waves almost every day. We walked to the black sand beach once but my kids liked the pebble beach the best. The crater rim hike leaving from the pebble beach is nice (fyi, 7:45 is too late to start - hot and no shade!). The house is nicely situated for sightseeing in S. Kona - we went to the kula kai caverns, volcano national park, and the place of refuge. If you aren't a vegetarian, be sure to get some local grass fed beef and shaved ice from the Kealia ranch store. Check out the smoothies and baked goods (and great guacamole) at the S. Kona fruit stand. The only word of caution/thing I wish we did more of was plan our food a little better. This house is a little off the beaten path - an hour from Costco (and the airport), 30 min in either direction for groceries, and 15-20 min from restaurants. So if you can get most of your groceries for your stay on you way in definitely do that and then supplement here and there (there is a nice farmers market on Sun in Capt. Cook). We planned day by day and that wasn't really ideal for us. You could easily come to this house for a week and never go anywhere else - you have an amazing house, easy access to 2 beaches, hiking - or you can use it as a nice base and travel around the island. We didn't have a chance to meet Deanna in person but she was extremely responsive over email.
Peace of Heaven was all that you would dream of for a trip of a lifetime! We could of stayed at a big fancy hotel with just one bedroom for the same price but instead we were able to stay in this gorgeously custom decorated 5 bedroom home right next to the beach. We are big time into snorkeling and were never disappointed by the coral and many varieties of colorful fish and the two good sized octopus that seemed to be the loving couple. Two-Step at the City of Refuge is not too far away and I was able to swim with dolphins, the babies were so cute!! Deanna, the owner, was always very accommodating. We would never hesitate highly recommending this dreamlike place to anyone!
We loved our stay here. It was a great spot for snorkeling and a nice location on the island to strike out on many adventures. The house was beautifully decorated and very Comfortable. It had everything we needed
A spectacular home that is just as beautiful on the inside as the view from the lanai! A very short walk to a secluded, smooth black sand beach. A black pebble beach literally feet from the front door giving access to a lot of fun in the water. Fantastic snorkeling and scuba right from the black pebble beach! Rent gear at Jack's and go for it!!!! Many whale and dolphin sightings right from the lanai as we sipped refreshments! Head north to exciting night life. Head south to the green sand beach. Take a picnic lunch and a 4X4 Jeep. A fun drive out to the beach! Continue on to Volcano National park. Further east is the rainforest! The location of this house allows you to enjoy spectacular sunsets every night. Diana is a wonderful host and has provided lots of information to help you plan your exploration of the island as well as kayaks and snorkeling gear etc. for your enjoyment. The only way to describe our stay is "INCREDIBLE". Thank you Diana!
We were 7 adults in this house and every single one of us had so much fun.
The kitchen is full with various spices and everything basic you need for cooking. Very convenient.
The beach is great and the house is furnished with snorkelling gears, kayaks, a paddle board, hats, reef shoes ad towels, so it leaves a lot of room in your luggage for bringing back souvenirs.
On our very first day, we saw dolphins and a turtle right in from of the house.
It is really a piece of heaven. Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful house with us. I highly recommend it!
