About Mark and Anne Reiner
The Reiner Family has lived on Lake Miltona for 15 years and have lived in the area collectively for over 30 years. We enjoy sharing our home with others and have always been pleased with how our guests care for our home during their stay. We welcome families both large and small for their gatherings. We love our neighbors and they will enjoy seeing you vacation here, so we ask that you are respectful of them as well. We cannot allow pets at all since we have members of our family with severe allergies. Of course, no smoking. We will not accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties.
Why Mark and Anne Reiner chose Miltona
Our home was designed for entertaining at the lake. We come from large families so the home was built to share with others. We hope you will come and enjoy this property when it isn't in use by our family. We have family nearby in case you need anything. This home is relatively new, but was designed to feel like an old time lake home. Hopefully, the minute you enter you will feel like you have stepped back in time and will relax and enjoy the lake as you would have in days gone by. The home features large gathering areas including a great room that opens to the kitchen, a large 11x36 four-season room that can be converted to a scrap booking or quilting area. The kids will love the built in European style bunkbeds! There is also a screen porch that overlooks the lake and is one of the best napping spots in the world. There is a copper clad wood-burning fireplace, deck, large shady lawn and awesome sandy beach. The rental is by the week from June through August and available for 3 day weekends throughout the remainder of the year for retreats. Lake Miltona is one of the finest lakes in the area known for fabulous fishing, clean water and every kind of water sport. Within a short distance you will find Carlos State Park, bike trails. downhill skiing, antiquing, live summer theatre, many opportunities to enjoy local musicians, an award winning local winery and so much more. Lake Miltona is also known as an excellent ice fishing lake and the snowmobile trail is nearby. The slogan for Alexandria, the neighboring town, is 'Easy to get to, hard to leave.' Come stay and we think you will agree.
What makes this House unique
The things most people love about our home is the warm and welcoming feel the minute they walk in the door. It is new, but has the look and feel of a charming old lake home. The great room provides space to gather for a meal or visit with a small or large number of people around the beautiful copper-faced fireplace which features huge antique beams. There are also lots of places to get away and read a book or just enjoy the summer breeze. Across the road is a picturesque farm with a small lake that provides awesome pictures of sunsets. Out front you have shade, beautiful sunrises and lots of sand. You might even want to bring your boat/pontoon or rent our pontoon and enjoy a leisurely tour of the amazing 5800 acre lake. You can stop by the sand bar where dozens of people gather to play volleyball and mingle in crystal clear water with a sand bottom. Once again, the easy accessibility of this home makes this an easy place for everyone to visit. Looking forward to meeting you

17th Annual Family Labor Day Weekend
This is the second year we stayed for Labor Day Weekend. My family loves the house and the location. The owner has been very easy to communicate with. My family would like to go back next year.
Our family looks forward to our time together and really enjoys
the shaded yard at the lake.
Great location. Well maintained. Wonderful people.
We had a great stay as always. Everything is as it should be. Besides the spacious accommodations the extras like the washer and dryer make it very nice place to stay. We are already looking forward to next year.
So glad you had a great stay!
Quad state reunion
Our family came in from 4 different states and we felt right at home. This is our 6th year staying here. The home and property work wonderful for our family.
It just warms our hearts to know that we can provide a space that feels like home for your family.
Great Lake weekend
We had so much fun! The house was beautiful and very clean. Nice proximity to the lake which was quiet and water was very clear. The trip to Alexandria took 20 min, which was not a big deal. We really would have like it if a boat had been part of the deal. Overall was a great weekend celebrating my dads 90th birthday.
Thank you for your review. We did previously rent a pontoon but we did not have enough demand so we made the decision to stop renting it. We are very glad that you had a great time. Thank you for staying!
The beautiful Alexandria Lakes Area is located an easy 2 hour drive northwest of the Twin Cities on I-94. This vibrant and growing community is known for it's pristine lakes, great fishing and it's many tourist attractions. There is something for everyone to enjoy. State Park, biking trail, snowmobile trail, downhill ski area, antiques, summer theater, impressive local music, and a winery just to name a few of the attractions.
