Casuarina Point is a unique location with beautiful, crystal clear shallow water. This area boasts some of the prettiest white sand beaches in the world, one of which is at your doorstep. The reef that protects the bay provides for calm waters unlike many oceanfront beaches. With several small uninhabited islands in the area you can always find something to do. There are blue holes, shoals, flats, sand banks and at least three very private beaches for swimming and picnics. If you like fly fishing for the elusive bone fish you need not go any further than right out the front door. Several of our guests have caught them wading less the five hundred feet from the house. The sand banks in the area are a great place for the young and old to discover new things like rays, star fish, shelling and sand dollars which we can guarantee that you will find. There is much to do if you wish to get out and explore.
For your use there are four kayaks, one of which is a tandem and the option to rent our small motorized boat. The thirteen foot Boston Whaler will allow you to venture further and discover even more. Our home is situated such that the beach is on one side and the canal access is on the other therefore you will be able to use the boat regardless of tides. Our home is the only one in Casuarina Point that has no restriction due to tides.
Should you decide on having us arrange deep sea, bonefish or snorkeling charters the captains can pick you up at your doorstep. Once again the only place in Casuarina where this can be done.
Our home is elevated for good breezes and provides spectacular views of the blues and greens of the bay during the day and millions of stars at night. Watching the moon or sunrise over the bay can be an exhilarating experience. Beach chairs are provided along with lounge chairs for the sun deck. On the covered porch we have an outdoor dining table with seating, Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs and a stainless steel Kitchenaid grill. There is a Tiki Hut on the beach with beach chairs that provide you some shade on the beach and a nice place to have lunch.
Key Lime Beach House is very well outfitted as listed below with ample space and very comfortable furnishings as you will see by the photos and items listed. Wireless internet and cable throughout, local and internet phone provided.

Donnarees@msn.com purchased this house in 2012
As children, both of us spent our summers in nearby Cherokee Sound, James with his father who owned a bonefishing camp and Donna with her Grandparents who lived there. We both always have loved the sun and sea and the quiet, relaxing beauty of Casuarina Point and the surrounding area. We raised our children and always dreamed of returning. We enjoy taking a sunset boat ride or kayaking in the Bay. Sometimes we just sit and float with the tide. The water is so crystal clear you can see so many sea creatures that you have never seen before. Sometimes there will be a pod of dolphin playing in the channel in front of the house. So here we are, living our dream!
We feel safe here and the Abaco’s friendly people just make life wonderful. We purchased the property 13 years ago and always dreamed of having a beach home. This property is unique because we enjoy boating and we can keep our boat at the back door and just steps to the beach to go for a swim. We love watching the schools of Bonefish 'tailing' as they feed in the shallow water. The boat basin is like our very own aquarium with tarpon, bonefish, mullet, many other small fish and crabs. We just love being close to nature and the private location at the end of the community. We can take a moonlit stroll on the beach and not worry about a thing.
Donna and Jamie's oasis in the Caribbean could not have been more perfect. Jamie visited us on the first night and dropped off fresh fish he had just caught! Our family of 5 (3 kids- 13, 11, 8) felt like we were on our own private island. Every day, at low tide, we would visit our starfish friends, unbelievable specimens unlike anything we've ever seen. We collected amazing conch shells and spent one lovely morning chasing a lobster. The house really felt like our own- spacious, tastefully decorated, with full use of kayaks, the motorboat, and a paddle board. We'll be back!
What a lovely house. Beautifully constructed and appointed and with everything you need to have a great vacation. We stayed ten days and just had a quiet, restful time walking the beach, reading, kayaking, fishing and taking out the boat. Town and groceries is a bit away - about 20-25 minutes, so we made a few trips into town to get more provisions. But that distance makes this a very quiet and peaceful place. It's just what we all needed!
We are an active family of 6 with youngest being 15. This is a beautiful, spacious, clean and well stocked home. The furniture including the beds are top quality and very comfortable. We cooked in most nights and had everything we needed . We streamed Netflix through our Xbox with HDMI cable into flat screen TV to watch movies and house was stocked with games for the family. We used the boat, paddle boards and kayaks daily. Just time the tides. The owners, Donna and Jamie, are very easy to deal with and very knowledgeable about the island and Cays.
You are about 20-25 minutes south of Marsh Harbour where you can shop for groceries at Maxwell's, find different types of restaurants and also boat rentals, tours or ferries to out islands. I recommend you rent a car or van and use Sea Star Rentals. They are walking distance on airport property, easy to deal with and have better quality rentals. We rented a boat from Dorado boat rentals and would also recommend them. I would recommend a GPS and depth finder as well if unfamiliar with the islands.
This is a wonderful home where you will feel secluded and pampered.
Another great bonefishing trip to Donna and Jamie's beautiful Keylime Beachhouse. Our third year in a row perfect for fishing and relaxing . Excellent location and everything you need is there. We will be back next year !
We just returned from our week long stay at Key Lime House. We are a family of 4 (kids are 12 and 15). The house was found in clean and tidy condition with a large, well equipped kitchen and three lovely bathrooms.
The view is beautiful facing east so you get to watch a brilliant sunrise in the mornings. The beach view is partially obstructed by tall coconut trees, but there is a tiki hut on the beach if you prefer an unobstructed view. The water in this area is very clear and quite shallow, even at high tide. Not real swimming water, but perfect for playing, splashing, fly fishing, wading, and shell collecting. We also found the sand makes great sand castles. The shallow water also makes it fun for beginning kayakers to learn. We saw rays, sea turtles, bonefish, needle fish, and of course lots of conch! Also enjoyed walking down the beach to the sandbar and collecting sand dollars.
The boat is fun. No frills, but it gets you out on Cherokee Sound and you can take it all the way across. We also visited Point of Spit, a pretty little uninhabited island in the Sound. It is unique to find a home that is beachfront, but also has a boat with canal access...the best of both worlds.
We experienced breezy weather everyday which helped keep the bugs away. The only time we were bothered by bugs was around sunset when some biting "no-see-ums" would come out. Other than that, we were bug free.
We met several other renters during our stay. The home right next door (Mango House) is also owned by Jamie and Donna. We made friends with the renters there as well as a few families further down the beach. There are also some full-time residents, like the fishing guide (J.R.) who took my husband and son out for a day. They raved about it and caught lots of bonefish.
We grocery shopped at Maxwell's in Marsh Harbour, which was pricey, but cheaper than eating out. We did venture out twice for meals, once at Wally's and once at Curly Tails. Both were delicious.
In summary, if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing spot that isn't crammed full of tourists and souvenir shops, this is the place! Lovely house, friendly people, and beautiful scenery. The only thing I was wishing for was a hammock...but I settled for a deck chair.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Key Lime. The house was beautiful and spotless and it's obvious the owners take great pride in their home. Donna and Jamie are wonderful hosts and couldn't have done more to make us feel comfortable.
We used the boat quite a bit and it is a great plus that it's docked in a sheltered canal next to the house. There is no chance of the boat breaking loose and it's easy to come and go on any tide. It's difficult to get a boat out at low tide at many of the houses at Casuarina Point, but no problem at Key Lime. We also used one of the single kayaks and it was in like-new condition (again, something you don't find at all the rental houses in the area). There was also a good selection of paddles.
The house is located at the end of the beach and has a lot of privacy. Although there were only 2 if us, there would have been plenty of room for one or two more couples since each of the three bedrooms has an en suite bath. We had a great 2+ week stay at this wonderful house and would definitely recommend it.
Located on a beautiful white, powder sand beach overlooking Cherokee Sound, a breathtaking shallow water bay. Great spot to wade and fly fish for bonefish or explore one of the many blue holes. Also located on the property is your very own private boat basin it's like an aquariam. Stand on the seawall and fish for snapper and bonefish. Very private area, on a dead end road. Sunbathe in privacy on the sundeck. At low tide there is a sand flat, ideal for shelling. Pete's Pub is a great place to relax and enjoy a tropical libation or have a fabulous dinner with the catch of the day and enjoy the local flavour of Abaco. For guided fly fishing, there is a local guide at the end of the street, well worth spending the day with. Across the bay at Cherokee Sound there are Deep Sea fishing charters available. Off shore there are several small uninhabited islands called 'cays' that have beautiful beaches, great for picnicing or shelling/beachcombing. Just a 5 minute drive south of Casuarina Point you can view the rare Abaco Parrot, a spectacular beauty. A day trip to one of the many outer cays, such as Hope Town with it's candy striped light house or Green Turtle Cay's sculpture garden and museum. Come enjoy the island life, relax and play! This will be the best vacation EVER!
