Why Janet Scott chose Fort Collins

This property was screaming for someone to love it. We immediately felt connected to it, by the location and potential charm. The previous owner had done nothing to enhance the property or fix it up in any way. We felt it call our name and we love it!

What makes this apartment unique

It is such a wonderful location, in historic downtown Fort Collins, it felt like you could feel the vibes of the past when looking out the windows over library park, as many people had done before you. The downtown area has such rich history, with the ghost signs and old architecture. We just wanted to be part of it.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We truly enjoyed your darling home. It was so very comfortable. It made the perfect quick get-a-way. Loved being just minutes away from the fun shops and wonderful restaurants of Old Town. Thanks for providing such a great place!

The place was perfect for my needs. Great kitchen.

  • 4 of 5

Great accommodations. My main need was a good kitchen and open space. For that it totally worked. Bath was small but worked for us. Location was convenient to CSU and old town. I would stay there again. Thank you.

Great place for a weekend getaway!! Close to Old Towns bars and restaurants. Better suited for 2 people, but there is a pull out couch if needed. I would stay there again!! Thank you Janet!

Great little house!

  • 4 of 5

Great little house for a "sister's vacation!" Wonderful location, within easy walking distance to Old Town shopping, restaurants, and yes, even places to get a massage. We had a great time. The house was clean, the kitchen amazing, the bed and sleeper sofa both comfy. I would definitely recommend this VRBO to friends and family.

Stayed for Sabbatical

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time using VRBO. Overall the experience was very good. The positive things about this rental: great location to downtown and trail system on the Poudre. Old town is a fun place to explore. The home was furnished with everything I needed - wifi, warm blankets, W&D, nice kitchen. The owners were very responsive to issues or my questions and good communicators - I can't stress how much I appreciated this coming from a long way to stay for a longer period. No real bad things to say, just know my comments mostly reflect that I stayed here for a duration - sometimes the location could be noisy at night mostly because the library is a high traffic area for people during all times of the day and night and the firehouse is about 3 blocks away and sometimes drives by the house on the way to a call. After several weeks I found the bed to be uncomfortable - it is a single mattress that may be at it's warranty life. Overall, great place and I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend this place to other visitors (and great responsive owners who take pride in their properties). Thank you.

Owner's Response: We enjoyed having you for your extended stay.. And yes, being in Old Town involves putting up with train noise, etc. The locals become somewhat immune to all of it but just coming in to town, it is for sure there! We had discussed the bed, it is a memory foam mattress, a few years old, not sure what the issue was but we have not had any other comments regarding it. Would love to have you stay again!
