The bathroom floors and walls are tiled with carrera marble, and there are dual showers and a separate w/c. The tiled floor is heated. An abundant supply of Egyptian cotton towels is provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with measuring cups and spoons, roasting pans, mixing bowls, garlic press, etc.
A fully-stocked wet bar with ice maker off of the large living room offers a spot for socializing. The living room sofa converts to a very comfortable bed, and there's an elegant desk with a view of the front lawn and landscaped median.

My husband James and I enjoy travelling, and for the last few years have stayed primarily in private residences when we travel, rather than in hotels. We've found that no matter how 'nice' a hotel is, staying in home in a residential neighborhood is unbeatable. You really get a feel for the city you're visiting, dine at restaurants where locals eat, shop at locally-owned stores, etc.
Gaining insight from a local is a tremendous advantage, and as a 3rd generation Charlottean, I'm happy to share our favorite places and hidden gems Charlotte has to offer.
James Hock purchased this condo in 2011
Enjoy living in perhaps the best location in the city, in the absolute heart of Myers Park, where generations of prominent Charlotteans have made their home. Walk to many locally-owned restaurants and shops, and enjoy strolls along Hermitage Ct., a designated Historic District.
Living on such a beautiful street, in one of the prettiest neighborhoods in the South, will make your visit to Charlotte an experience you'll remember for a long time.
Hey Jim and James…as always we had wonderful time staying your apartment! It's the fifth one we've stayed in! The fireplace in this one was an added bonus. It's not everyplace you can cook a 17 lb turkey and serve 7 people comfortably but the Hermitage apartment was perfect for that…thanks again and we will see you in our next visit.
The Home Collection folks do an amazing job with their short-term rentals. The units are impeccable with high end kitchens, bathrooms and linens. The service is special with a few nice grocery items already in the kitchen in case you arrive hungry. If you need to contact the owners, they are easy to reach and so helpful. My only wish is that they would add some more 3-bedroom options as our family is about to outgrow the many two bedroom options they have. Wonderful unit!
We stayed for a week in this wonderful residence. Perfect location for downtown, Myers Park, Selwyn and South Park. We were greeted with some delicious treats and a fantastic abode. We enjoyed the spacious two bedrooms, comfortable living area and cozy screened porch. The surrounding area is great for walking and easy access to Freedom Park where we extended our range along the Sugar Creek Parkway. We will definitely contact the owners again when we are in Charlotte!
First vrbo ever, and now our expectations are going to be hard to match in the future. Traveling with food allergies can be a pain and this apartment and kitchen made it a treat. If we didn't have something we needed, an answer was a quick text away. Always met with an almost immediate response. Trader Joe's is about a 15 min walk away or a cheap cab ride and my husband took the bus uptown for his convention. Very easy to get around from this location. Arrived at midnight and walked into complimentary cocktails, wine and food. Music was softly playing in the background....no detail overlooked and very clean. I LOVED this place. Can't say enough good things about it.
The property is located a mile from Uptown, on Hermitage Court, in the heart of the Myers Park neighborhood, where generations of prominent Charlotteans have made their home.
Created by famous landscape architect John Nolen in 1911, Myers Park's curving avenues, gracious homes and small parks combine to create one of the South's most livable neighborhoods, a mile from Uptown.
Hermitage Court is a designated Historic District, and most of the century-old homes on the street have maintained their character. The architecture of Hermitage Court is an eclectic mix of Bungalow style houses interspersed with examples of several of the revival styles that were popular in the early 20th Century, including Colonial and Tudor revival homes.
The neighborhood is lined with wide sidewalks under towering willow oak trees, conducive for a morning jog or evening stroll.
Many locally-owned restaurants and shops are an easy walk away, as are several small pocket parks, tennis courts, etc.
