unique townhome, lots of space, not one of those narrow townhouses, my end unit has expanded large kitchen and large dining room. open 2 story ceiling in living room is filled with comfortable furniture to watch a large HD tv, not 90' but large.

Location, location, location

Family just returned after a first time visit to the area. 5 minute walk to Harbor Town. Pool was 10 steps from the back sliding door. A family we ran into had a place IN Harbor Town; they paid double for less space. All our rooms in the town home were big, clean as a whistle. Yes, it's dated (1980's), but we didn't care. Loved the complimentary bikes and kitchen was well stocked, so much so we cooked more often this time. Lot's of appliances and desk space if you need to cook/organize. The twin beds were good, each kid had their own space, and didn't kick each other in the night : ) The patio was double the size of the other spaces. The beach is by car or shuttle, not really walkable. Always found a parking spot at the Beach Club, so it worked out find, surprisingly. Can't wait to come back, bike the area at a different time of year, and I would definitely stay here again.

Best in Hilton Head

I stayed at Craig's place for 2 nights on July 4th weekend. His villa has plenty of space including a bedroom with a beautiful view of the swimming pool. Close to everything you need for a fun weekend: tennis court, private beach, water sports, etc. I did not have to drive any further than 5 minutes for any of those. Everything is within the resort. The swimming pool is also very nice. Excellent price as well. Highly recommended!

Dad with young kids

I spent a lot of time searching for a vacation destination for me and my kids. This owner was very helpful in getting me the information I needed to help me with that decision. The space in this condo and the location was tremendous. We made great use out of the bikes that were there for our use. We biked all over the island. We visited the local horse stables and inspected most of the local lagoons. We did not add to the parking troubles at Harbor Town because we were able to walk there every night. You have no idea how convenient it is to be able to walk out of your back slider and walk a few steps to the pool's gate. Every bedroom has a TV in this condo and WiFi was also included. We enjoyed our stay here and we will be back.

Mother Daughter Annual Trips .... several times a year

My daughter and I travel from Atlanta to HH several times a year and we stay in this condo every single time. The location is perfect on the island. Lots to do in walking and minimal driving distance. The condo is not new, but clean, well represented and spacious it is. Craig has always worked with us when we need to make changes. I also understand in renting property you don't always know if something is not always perfect. I have only had one time in my many visits that I needed Craig's attention and let me tell you. He addressed it immediately. Craig has also always kept us well informed on what is going on on the area ... new restaurants, events and such. And always responds immediately if I have a question or need. I highly recommend this condo for a fantastic beach trip.

Great Vacation Rental

Having stayed at Stoney Creek on more than one occasion, we highly recommend this unit for vacationing families. Without question, this unit is the cleanest, nicest and most accessible vacation condominium in which we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The accommodations are wonderful for family vacations and are equally superb for entertaining friends during the stay. One of the greatest advantages is its location with regard to the amenities of HHI - it's literally walking distance from Harbour Town and is a short drive from the beach. Excellent restaurants are also near by should that be your liking. At the same time, the location of the unit provides plenty of privacy amidst the natural landscape of the coastal back waters. In other words, you have the best of both worlds! It really is - simply - a great spot for family and friends!!

Not a good experience

Let me start by saying we have rented over 20 vacation properties through VRBO and this is the first one I felt compelled to review. The pluses are that the owner was flexible with dates, the location is very good and the condo itself has a nice amount of space. Unfortunately these positives are overshadowed by the negatives. The condo is in desperate need of a renovation- carpets are tired and furnishings even more so. The pillows were in very poor shape- lots of lumps. We can do outdated but outdated a filthy we cannot. My wife is extremely low maintenance so for her to say a place is dirty speaks volumes. Bathrooms looked untouched from whenever last guest was there and there were dead roaches on the floor. When I told the owner about the condition he responded that we needed to keep the doors closed to avoid bugs- really? The bugs and filth were all there upon arrival. No offer to refund part of cost. After our stay I get another email telling me that a glass tabletop was missing and asking if we had an "accident". Makes me wonder if the owner has visited his property and done a thorough review of what's going on there. We have rented 4 different units at Stony Creek and trust me when I say that you can do better.

Owner's Response: this renter is exaggerating since I asked him if he had an accident and broke the glass table....he came totally unglued and yelled at me thru his email. it was a simple question. I asked why he did not report the missing table to me when he checked in, so I could replace it.....he had no response other than blast me. just like a rental car that comes back with a broken window, they ask what happened??? I am sorry about lumpy pillows, they will be replaced. I asked him how the unit was when his wife checked in, said some bugs on the floor and dirty....so i offered to have the unit recleaned by Hallmark Coastal Cleaning and I got no response, so I assumed it was not as "bad" as he first claimed. no other complaints from more than a dozen previous renters this year. However, I will not retain this cleaning company and the $400 glass table had been missing for several weeks as I checked back with previous renters....by the way none of the previous renters flew off the handle when I asked them the same question, and all were most helpful except this fellow. too bad I did not send the cleaning company back anyway. we owners rely on the cleaning companies to do excellent work for the next people....and that was also a chore with this unsatisfied renter as I inspected the unit after they left yesterday and found lots of food on the living room floor at the chairs where people would sit to watch tv...and filthy stove, countertops with yellow stains and kitchen area carpet full of food crumbs....no wonder the bugs want to come inside....need to keep the doors closed. also many lights left on and A/C set at 60F....not sure my condo was well kept. I provide a key return letter and ask for maintenance issues, which is what everyone uses for the past 15 years.....as you can see, no one had to blast me here on the internet.
