Fabulous 135m2 (1,453 sq ft) top floor apartment with a large terrace, located in a prestigious residential area, between the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. Also steps away from rue Saint Dominique and rue Cler, known for nice shops and restaurants. Metro stations in walking distance: Alma Marceau, Pont de l'Alma, La Tour Maubourg and Invalides.

The apartment is on the 7th floor of a modern building with two elevators.

The apartment comfortably accommodates 5 people. There are 2 bedrooms - one with a king size bed and its own bathroom (bath tub, sink & toilet) and large walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and work desk. Adjacent to this room is a shower and sink, also accessible from the hallway. Both bedrooms face the courtyard. A single bed foldable bed, currently in the 2nd bedroom can be moved to the master bedroom or in the living room area.

A 2nd toilet is located near the 2nd bedroom in the hallway.

The appartment features a fully equipped kitchen, including a full size refrigerator-freezer, gas stove, conventional oven, micro-wave oven, dishwasher, coffee maker. There is a washing machine and a dryer, lovely spacious living room, dining area, and private terrace.

We spent a week in Paris at the beautiful apartment on rue Université during Paris Photo. The apartment was a block away from the Seine. The location was ideal since the Paris Photo took place in the Gand Palais, a 15 minute walk across the bridge. The apartment was amazingly roomy and full of light. It was also very well appointed with comfortable beds. We enjoyed little perks, such as having lovely make-up mirrors attached over the sinks and a great Nespresso machine. The surrounding area was lovely, full of shops and restaurants. The grocery shops were just around the corner. We especially enjoyed two restaurants in the vicinity: Les Fables de la Fontaine on 131 rue Saint Dominique--an artsy little place with very friendly staff serving imaginative food, and just next to it another good restaurant called La Fontaine de la Mars, a traditional French bistro serving southwestern food. Maria, the manager of the apartment, went out of her way to accommodate our various requests and made our stay a pure pleasure. We highly recommend this beautiful apartment and its management. You will feel at home there.

Quiet, eclectic and very spacious

The apartment was in a lovely quiet location but very central everything we wanted. Rue Cler around the corner was a gastronomic's heaven and the Eiffel Tower a mere 10 min walk. Spacious with a lovely outdoor terrace we could not have been happier.

The furnishings are a little dated but I think this added to the Parisian feel.

The fully maintained kitchen allowed for us to bring back our wonderful pastries, baguettes and groceries to prepare wonderful snacks between our meals which consisted of many beautiful restaurants within walking distance.

The apartment has more space than most and this suited us with 2 children in tow. It is accessible by elevator and secure entrance so we had no hesitation leaving our children while we ventured out.

I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. Maria was super responsive and catered to my every question.

Nice apartment in nice area

This was very clean. Very large. Great location for us. It had everything we needed. Washer and dryer. Dishwasher. Nice big bed in master room. Will definitely stay there again. Maria was honest with the security deposit. Very responsive to all questions. Great experience. We are picky so that is saying something.

Quiet, spacious home in great neighborhood

This apartment is truly as nice as it appears in the photos. The sheer amount of space, by European standards, is amazing! We spent many quiet moments on the living room couches, reading, using the fast internet, watching French TV. What you need to know: the unit was very clean; kitchen had a decent supply of tools/dishes and some pantry basics (sugar, coffee, oils, spices,paper products); lots of nice quailty towels; beds were comfy (Master is an adjustable bed - interesting); showers huge with incredible water pressure and no end of hot water; very little street noise. The veranda, which looks a bit strange in the photos, is actually really nice. We would have used it more if the weather was warmer, but seeing the green plants is such a comfort when in the city. The building is very nice and secure. Neighborhood is quiet and mostly residential by the apartment, but great shops and restaurants are just minutes walk away. Shopping for the day's groceries in nearby rue Cler made us feel like locals. Though the rental cost was a bit steep for us, the apartment paid for itself in that we only ate at restaurants once a day, having breakfast and light dinners "at home" with goodies gathered in our travels.

The Invalides metro stop is just 10 minutes walk away. We used the Metro every day, a very fast, easy way to get around.

Travel tip - to reach this apartment from the airport, we took the Roissy Bus from CDG (11 Euros/person, 65 minute ride) to the Opera district, then the # 8 tram, direction Balard, just 3 stops to Invalide (cost 1.8 Euros) . The whole trip (from CDG) took 1 1/2 hours, so plan accordingly. We were a bit late to meet the apartment agent, Serge, but he was very gracious and helpful.

As the apartment was probably built in the 70's, things are a bit dated but everything works well. The view of the Invalides dome at sunrise and sunset invites you to discover the charm of Paris. Walking through the neighborhood streets you're treated to peek-a-boo views of the Eiffel Tower, actually only about 10 minutes walk away.

We hope you enjoy your stay in the 7th and at this apartment!

Comfortable, quiet family apartment

My family and I stayed in this apartment for two weeks in the middle of spring. We had a wonderful time. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and enjoys lots of natural light. There's even a view of the Invalides dome from some of the windows.

The apartment has much to recommend it, especially for families with small children. The spaciousness, in the centre of Paris, can't be overstated. The living room is large, the bedrooms are a good size, and there are two bathrooms. But many other features also made our stay wonderful. The apartment is very quiet. The bedrooms are especially quiet, as they open onto a private courtyard. The beds are comfortable. The apartment is in a security block, making it very safe. At any rate, though, the neighbourhood is perfectly safe, even at night.

We also found the location to be perfect for our needs. Many conveniences, such as supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, and public transport, were within a ten-minute walk. All the attractions of Paris were within a short metro ride.

The owner, Maria, was friendly from the beginning, promptly responding to questions. She remained in contact throughout our stay, willing to help with problems that might arise -- although none ever did.

I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Paris. My family loved it. We will certainly stay there again when we return to Paris.

Perfect For Families

We had an excellent experience at this apartment and will be recommending it and MPA Travel to family and friends in the future. We stayed here for two weeks in early Spring. Our traveling party was three adults and two children (pre-school age)

Pros:

*Size - much larger than other apartments we have rented in Paris. Huge kitchen. Unfortunately weather was a little cold/rainy so we couldn't use the terrace, but would be nice in summer

*Location - we typically stay in the 7th and appreciated the closeness to the RER (Versailles, Euro Disney), bus stops, Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, The American Church, and Ave Montaigne (walking distance across the Seine)

*Locality - one of the best bits of a Paris stay is living like a local. This means fresh croissants and baguettes every morning, of which there are several options nearby (Le Champ des Delices is the best)

*Modern - apartment building is "new" with two new lifts, and apartment had a washer and dryer. Genius

*MPA Travel - responsive, helpful and flexible (e.g., early check-in)

Cons:

*Practical, but not old school Parisian charm - if you've come here for a romantic getaway as a couple, this is not the place for you

*Aesthetics - apartment furnishings are a little dated, but that's unimportant

We would definitely visit again.
