This luxury Condo is situated on the top floor, consists of 2 bedrooms (one with queen bed and one with single over double bunk beds), 2 full bathrooms (one with steam shower & one with deep bath-tub), heated slate tile & hardwood floors, flagstone fireplace, modern and well equipped kitchen with polished granite countertops, open space living, fireplace, private deck with BBQ & hot tub, beautiful uninterrupted views of Monashee Mountains from all rooms (except bathrooms). Ski in/out on the Gondola Run only meters aways, 5 min walk to Village Centre or Happy Valley Day Lodge. This Condo also has 3 TV's/DVD's, Ipod docking station, Playstation 3 with games, selection of books, DVDs, boardgames & puzzles, car parking facility in heated underground garage. This position has great ski-in, ski-out access. A wireless internet connection, telephone with free local calls and a ski-locker are provided. There is also a double hide-a-bed in the Living Room. Laundry facilities include washing machine, dryer, ironing-board & iron, plus complimentary laundry supplies.
We chose this Condo for a number of reasons; being a quiet building (10 owners in total), situated on the top floor with uninterruped 180+ degree views of Monashee Mountains, the hot tub on the deck is perfect for soaking in and watching the beautiful and always changing sunsets. With speakers on the deck you can also soak in the Hot Tub while you listen to music or watch the 40' LCD TV through the living room window. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking your own meals. A wireless internet connection, telephone with free local calls and a ski-locker are provided. There is also a double hide-a-bed in the Living Room. Laundry facilities include washing machine, dryer, ironing-board & iron, plus complimentary laundry supplies.
Dear Karen & Stewie, we had such a delightful time in your Condo! We appreciate the quietness and sense of community that you don't always find when away from home. We enjoyed getting to meet Ralph. We enjoyed your hot tub and BBQ and the rest of the Condo was well stocked! We are so looking forward to returning in March! Happy New Year to you!
This is really a nice place. I don't want to be too glowing because I want availability in the future. The pictures don't do it justice. It is nicer than the pictures and bigger. It is quiet unless you're the noisy one. Nice garage. Bring your own padlock for the garage locker for skis, or even better rack locks which are also available at the retail shop in the village. Well built. Hot tub was perfect. Views to the southeast and southwest are really nice in the morning and evening. New owner so not sure of his plans. One hitch when we arrived was there were a few cleaning issues that were immediately taken care of by the new owner. Ski down to Gondola. Walk to the village is uphill and thin air. It's a gasser - FYI. Bathrooms a little small but quite functional Hot tub makes up for it. If you have kids - we don't, Playstation 3 in 2nd bedroom. This place would also be fine for two couples. At the current price probably one of the best values anywhere we have stayed in the world. And Big White is fabulous unless you like the splashy night life of Whistler/Aspen, etc. Extraordinarily friendly staff throughout resort. Aussies mostly. Easy access in and out for skiiers. If one down side, other residents of the building don't do a very good job of cleaning up their dogs' s**t.
The Condo is situated very close to the family friendly Happy Valley area, which has facilities for ice skating, ice wall climbing, mega snow coaster tube park, children & adult snowmobile tours, horse and dog drawn tours - a great place to relax with family friendly meals and entertainment. The Condo also has great views of the fire-works which occur every week at Happy Valley.
