About The Owner

After living in this area for nearly 20 years we wanted to share the beauty with friends and vacationers from all over the world. Welcome to Seabeck. We hope you enjoy your stay, and experience the relaxing atmosphere while you discover the secrets we have to offer in this beautiful part of the world.

The Owner purchased this studio in 2010

Why The Owner chose Hood Canal

Once we discovered Seabeck, we wanted to be actively involved in the community. We purchased one of the only properties on the water and 'in town' and proceeded with a two-year remodel. Now we are able to share the area!

What makes this studio unique

Seabeck has been known for its General Store, Turie's coffee and Seabeck Pizza. We have increased the shopping experience for travelers to Seabeck by adding two businesses. Seabeck Landing Massage and 'Be Tempted' - a gift boutique featuring a variety of gifts for all ages. In addition to the businesses, we decided a rental for vacationers was perfect for the space at the back of the building right on the water's edge. It is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, and offers great views all year long. Ask about our Holiday Offers!

It is a lovely, quiet place.

  • 5 of 5

I really enjoy coming here. This was my third visit. It is clean, with lovely furnishings and very comfortable. A perfect place for a quick get away by the water. My favorite part is sitting on the covered porch, wrapped in a quilt, listening to the tides roll in and watching the sun go down. Truly a refreshing and peaceful place.

Very clean & modern. Very nice owners.

  • 3 of 5

This space is very small, although the layout is efficient. However, when the Murphy bed is up, the available seating is uncomfortable. It's not a big enough space for two people to relax and read.

The owners are exceptionally nice & the view is lovely.

Owner's Response: Hi Debra, We appreciate your comments about the studio space seating. Our outdoor seating is very comfy, and in warmer months, most guests spend a lot of time on the covered patio area. Now that companies are producing furniture for "tiny" homes, hopefully we will find something to suit our smaller space. This is the first time we have heard a comment about the seating and we plan to look into making some changes. Our upstairs unit is larger and has full sized leather sofa and recliner as well as other seating. This might have been a better fit for you. Thank you again for staying with us and sharing your feedback. Suzanne

Great studio unit

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I rented this unit for the month of July. The locals put on a great firework display for the fourth of July. The unit has a very large patio mostly covered which is great for rainy weather or for the bright sunny days. The view is great and the unit is small but has all one needs to cook. The shower is huge. There is plenty of room to store bikes and other things on the patio.

Each day our mornings started with coffee, watching eagles on the mud flats and seals on the logs close to the marina. Just down the road a couple of miles we counted 11 eagle on the mud flats right by the road. Next door is a general store, a coffee shop, and a pizza place with great local ice cream. A few miles away there is a larger town Silverdale, that has all the big stores for anything else you may need.

We watched a seal mother give birth during our stay. Almost everyday there were 8 to 14 seals in the area.

We found some great trails in the area to hike. The best group of trails we found were in the Newberry Hill Heritage Park. We found it was easier to park on Seabec Hy NW at the south end of the park. There are no trails that you can really walk to near the unit. It is a short drive to Bremerton to catch a ferry over to downtown Seattle. There are quite a few neat towns in the area to explore.

If we are in the area ,we would definitely rent this unit again. The host was great and everything was as advertised.

Nearest Restaurant
Seabeck Pizza (Salads & Pizza)& Barbie's Cafe
Car: necessary

This scenic location offers ever changing views at both low and high tides throughout the seasons. Whether you prefer relaxing peace and quiet, or more activities, our information book provides a list of places to visit and things to do while staying on the Kitsap Peninsula. The beach is kayak assessable and swimming is possible in the salt water off the beach (oyster shells, rock & sandy beach) - no lifeguard and be prepared for cold water temperatures.

BLUE HERONS & BALD EAGLES live in the area. Around June each year, they arrive in large numbers following the food supply! BE PREPARED TO ENJOY THEIR ANTICS WHILE YOU VACATION WITH US! The photographs you are viewing of these magnificent creatures were taken by Lynn Wilson of Seabeck, WA.

Our Fall/Winter Season offers quiet views of the Bay and time for reflection while enjoying the scenery that changes daily! This can be a writer's Paradise! Each Season here in Seabeck brings its own beauty. Staying inside where it is cozy and watching the fog roll in over the water or wave action when the wind picks up is exciting and opposite of what one experiences in the Summer months.

Fall & Winter offer quiet, relaxation and we now have a massage therapist close by where one can enjoy a variety of spa treatments.
