Tucson House Rental Photos and Description

Private Casita - 1 Bedroom/Studio + Convertible Bed, 1 Bathroom. Sleeps 1-4.

The Tohono Trail Casita is a unique private getaway. It is located at the Agua Caliente Canyon and overlooks the vast Tucson Valley and sloping mountainside of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The Beautiful Casita features tasteful Southwestern decor with a spacious living room, fireplace, kitchenette and bedroom with full bath. Our guests feel the serenity of the Sonoran Desert, while enjoying the beauty of the surrounding mountains and star-filled nights from their private porch. The Casita is roughly 25 minutes from Downtown Tucson and the University of Arizona. There are several golf courses nearby, including The Arizona National Golf Club, a Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed course ranked in the top 25 of all public courses in Arizona. The Casita is close enough to shopping and grocery stores to be convenient, yet far enough to escape the crowds. There are great restaurants and grocery shopping within 10 minutes of the Casita.

Visitors are invited to relax and enjoy a heated outdoor spa, outdoor fireplace and outdoor BBQ at the main house if you feel like staying in. If you like hiking, trails are within steps of your front door, the trails range in length and difficulty. The Casita offers hiking access to the Aqua Caliente Canyon that will lead you to pools of water and a perfect place for a picnic, or if you prefer, Milagrosa Canyon is a short 20 minute hike. The Milagrosa Falls boast a triple waterfall that can be seen running during the rainy season.

The Casita is equipped with washer and dryer, iron, ironing board, cable TV, phone, Wi-Fi, linens, towels, robes, dishes, glassware, silverware, microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator with small freezer, Keurig Coffee maker and more. Horse facilities and trailer parking are also available.

The Tohono Trail Casita is a truly peaceful and serene getaway. We are excited to have you as our guests. If you’ve come to golf, hike, relax or visit many of the things Tucson has to offer such as the Sonoran Desert Museum, the Air and Space Museum, Mount Lemmon, you will not be disappointed.

Amazingly wonderful Casita, looking forward to our next visit.

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Tucson and we could not have asked for a better place to stay or host family. The casita far exceeded our expectations in every way. We enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub and the amazing views. When we return to Tucson we will be staying at the Tohono Trail Casita.

A Casita well worth getting to!

  • 5 of 5

Regrettably, we spent only two nights in this fabulous Tohono Casita! Had everything we were looking for--privacy, view, A/C, washer/dryer, fans, comfortable bed, and use of owner's private spa overlooking Tucson. Hiking trails were outside the door. Peggy was charming and a pleasure to meet. If you're looking for something out of the way and fun to get to, this is the place for you!

Breath taking relaxation nestled in stunning beauty

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this trip so much.

I booked this stay at the very last minute. Peggy and Carrie were amazing to work with. They made sure we were completely taken care of.

The property was so perfect, the views of the puffy monsoon clouds and natural desert surroundings helped to tame stress and foster relaxation in complete style and privacy.

We can't wait to book our next stay with you.

Thank you Kindly,

Amber

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect spot for my husband and I to spend a week. The view is absolutely lovely from the front porch - I spent every morning out there sipping coffee and reading as the sun came up while my husband went for a hike through the canyon that has a trailhead right next door. We had everything we needed, and Peggy was so generous and helpful. We have travelled a couple times to Tucson and stayed at various places, but this casita blew them all away!

relaxin' in the sunny southwest

  • 4 of 5

Here's a hard-to-beat get-away in the foothills east of Tucson. Charming casita is well-stocked and comfortable. The view is vintage southwest, with great trails practically out your front door. The owner makes you feel like a part of the family right off the bat, and is ready to make your stay the best. If you want to participate in lots of downtown Tucson activities, be advised, it's about a 30-40 min. drive, and the last 100 yds up to the casita will challenge your suspension a bit. But we'd go back in a heartbeat. Thanks, Peggy.

Very nice property with very nice people

  • 5 of 5

The casita was exactly as described, it was obvious that the owners knew what the vacation rental traveler wanted, from the extra comfy bed to the mention of the type of coffeemaker they have in the property descriptions- I was able to have the right coffee style upon arrival. We always try to get our grocery shopping done on the way to the place, and that made it easy and complete. The condition of the furniture and appliances was excellent, and the place was very clean and manageable, with enough supplies of everything for our 5 night stay. The casita option usually means a hotel-room style of kitchenette, washing out things in the bathroom sinks, but this had a much more useful space for your dine-in times. The laundry was a stack unit in very good condition and easy to use. Location is perfect, downtown and mt Lemmon were about 30 minutes away each. View form the patio was sunset, and absolutely gorgeous all 5 nights. We had an agenda in Tucson, but we stayed around the casita much more than we have done at other places. Hosts were very accommodating without intruding and had several recommendations for hiking, dining, and other activities in the area. The area is a neighborhood of large lots and scenic desert/mountain areas, very quiet! We will stay again when we are in Tucson and availability allows, Thank you so much for such a nice stay.
