About Nate Bump

I grew up next door to this cabin. It had originally belonged to my grandmother/grandfather and was passed down to me. I played professional baseball for 14 years and was part of the 2003 World Series Champion Florida Marlins.

Why Nate Bump chose Pennsylvania

This property has been in my family since the sixties. The mountains, streams, and trees are all a part of me and my upbringing.

What makes this cabin unique

The stars on a cold crisp nite. The day to day changes on the mountaintops whether it be the color of the leaves or the ice that forms near the very top. The wildlife that always seems to make an appearance and make each day feel unique. The history of the valley...a steam train used to travel back through the value to transport wood and coal.

Perfect getaway in the middle of nowhere

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a simple, no frills getaway then this is the perfect place! Very relaxing out in the middle of nowhere with a beautiful stream across the road for swimming, fishing or just exploring. Our nights were spent in front of the firepit gazing at the stars and enjoying the sounds of the stream. The Bump family was wonderful! Looking forward to our next vacation here!

Neat place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We loved it. It was perfect for what we needed. The river is across the street though, not right next to the house (you can hear it though!) It was clean and there were deer in the yard every night. Definitely lots of places to explore!

We really enjoy this cabin; this was our second stay. Nate and Lou are great to work with. We plan to stay in the cabin again the next time we're in the area!

Adventure, solitude, nostalgia, and comfort all wrapped up in one.

  • 4 of 5

The Bump family has tried to think of everything. All the amenities of home and then some. Really appreciate the hospitality and friendliness of Lou- great to know we had someone here to turn to if we had any questions. Hope to come back someday!

Fantastic cabin and very specious

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this area is definitely for you. The property has an enormous back yard and no one disturbed us on our 4 day stay there. One thing to consider is that there's hardly any recreational activity to do in the immediate are, so you will need to travel if you're into anything other than outdoor activities. Otherwise, this cabin is most definitely worth it!

Located in a very rural and picturesque area in Southwestern Bradford County, the cabin is just off the road with the Schrader Creek directly in front. The Creek can have a white water rating from 1-4 depending upon the season and rainfall. Many miles of dirt roads and meandering streams that are great for trout fishing, mountain biking, hiking, cross country skiing or rafting/kayaking. Lamoka is a beautiful place to see with large rock formations and great swimming holes. Sunfish Pond County Park can also be found nearby for great fishing and camping. The Finger Lakes and wineries along with the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon all make great day trips. Eagles Mere and Worlds End State Park all also less than an hour away. The cabin sits in a green valley between three mountains that is within 1/2 mile of 35,000 acres of state games lands which offers great hunting and scenery.
