I grew up next door to this cabin. It had originally belonged to my grandmother/grandfather and was passed down to me. I played professional baseball for 14 years and was part of the 2003 World Series Champion Florida Marlins.
This property has been in my family since the sixties. The mountains, streams, and trees are all a part of me and my upbringing.
The stars on a cold crisp nite. The day to day changes on the mountaintops whether it be the color of the leaves or the ice that forms near the very top. The wildlife that always seems to make an appearance and make each day feel unique. The history of the valley...a steam train used to travel back through the value to transport wood and coal.
The pictures posted for this cabin do not do it justice. We had an wonderful time in this beautiful location.
We had a wonderful long weekend at the cabin. The cabin was "comfy" and cozy and situated in such beauty. Enjoyed great hiking and Ricketts Glen and World's End parks. "Town" nearby provided us terrific places for breakfast and supplies. If you want to "get away" from it all for just a bit, this is a perfect place to do it. It is a family owned cabin and we were made to feel very welcomed.
We had a perfectly relaxing time. The house has everything that you may need and the porch is the perfect place for a glass of wine after a great day hiking. And we did see a bear walking along the creek in the evening ! We felt welcomed and enjoyed every minute of our escape. Thank you
The cabin was wonderful... everything we had hoped for. It was warm and inviting. It felt like a home away from home. The bed was great! Glad to have a bathroom on t he upper floor. Made use of the washer and dryer. Cooked meals. Watched a couple of movies. It was very comfortable and relaxing. It more than met our needs.
We went to World's End state park one day--loved it! Also visited Ricketts Glen State Park which is awesome!! It had so many waterfalls on one trail!
Overall we had a wonderful visit. Thanks to Lou and the cabin!! We would definitely recommend this place! We may come back in the fall--we can only imagine the foliage must be beautiful.
Perfect for our long weekend getaway!!! We were two families of FOUR (both with 2 young girls ages 6/8)! The girls loved it!!! The outdoor firepit was our favorite part of kicking back and just enjoying life!!! Thank you NATE and Lou!
