Very convenient to shops, freeways, and restaurants. Very quiet and charming area, with houses built in the 20's 30's. Written up in Details Mens magazine as one of top emerging cities in world.
Walk to Griffith Park, which has everything like hiking, tennis, horseback, pool, tennis, soccer, and more. Three blocks to Glendale Blvd (our central Village Area) which has all the shops, eateries, and yoga. Trader Joe's is less than a mile.
Great layout , bedrooms upstairs away from visitors, refinished hardwood floors, Saltillo tile in kitchen, large grassy front yard, rear private small patio, modest yet clean bright, and priced well for the money. Why stay in a hotel??? Smart tv with Netflix and password.
Atwater Village was named one of top 6 emerging cities in details magazine .

Atwater Village is conveniently located near freeways and adjacent to Los Feliz, Silver Lake and Glendale and 15 minutes from Burbank, Pasadena, Hollywood, and Downtown LA. This house is only 2 minutes from the Golden State Freeway (5 freeway) yet very quiet. From Savannah Georgia, Local realtor
Kevin Williams purchased this townhome in 2008
Priced well, about same as our local hotel which is one very small room, great layout with bedrooms upstairs,
Nice mountain views from upstairs.
Kevin was quick to answer my questions and very helpful throughout the entire booking process. The location was quiet and close to coffee and many amenities as well as Universal Studios, the purpose of our trip. The beds were comfortable, more than enough pillows and bed linens. There is only one bathroom and it was a little small but recently updated and worked fine for just the 3 of us. The shower had shampoo and conditioner, a nice touch! My family also enjoyed the free Netflix! I would definitely recommend this rental and Kevin!
Overall, this was a very nice stay, very comfortable, in a nice , quiet , neighborhood. This stay was the last leg of a long 2 week drive down the coast, we were traveling with our young adult children and teen daughter. We needed a quiet space to stretch out in, and this provided just that. We especially loved the front yard and the seating there provided us with some nice morning and evening , outdoor time. We had everything we needed, and the location was good as it was not far from most of the areas we wanted to explore- though LA is just a very spread out city. Kevin's communication was great, he provided us with everything we needed to know, in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this property!!
Great place; great price.
Kevin's pictures tell the story. The only differences I could see is that there's a stacked washer/dryer in the kitchen across from the refrig, the beds seem bigger than the pics, and there's a massaging chair in the master bdrm.
Kevin gives you very detailed information before your visit. We never saw him, but he was available 24/7 by text and that was perfect for us. Great communication.
The neighborhood is fine: quiet, seems safe. Parking is on the street and a space was usually available right in front. Once we had to park across the street. The yard is enclosed with a gate to the street, so it seems private. Front door has combination code so you don't have to keep track of a key.
The inside layout is funky, but cozy. The living room and kitchen are on the ground floor, but they're separated by a landing that connects to the stairs going up to the bedrooms/bathroom. So to go the kitchen, it's two steps up, two steps down. No bathroom on the 1st floor.
The master bdrm is spacious and has a nice glass work table and a massaging overstuffed chair. Walk-in closet shared by both bedrooms. The view from the back brdm isn't great. Bathroom is small but functional.
All kinds of TV available, including Netflix. 3 TVs. Wireless Internet which worked fine and was fast.
There are window air conditioning units in both bedrooms. We didn't need them since we visited in May but we definitely wanted them available, especially for the upstairs.
Our party was 4 adults and would stay here again. Plenty of room, clean, quiet, good price and good access to freeways. We didn't bring our dogs, but the patio would be great for them.
We reserved the townhouse that was shown on VRBO, but after we were already in California, Kevin contacted us to let us know that we would be staying in the townhouse on the end of the building. He told us that it was basically the same as the other one, but he had last minute long-term renters that would need the listed townhouse. After arriving the layout appeared to be the same, but the place was a disappointment. It was not as up-to-date as the listed rental or as clean looking. My husband who is a very easy-going man was upset by the dirty counters and shelves. I was more upset by the musty smell of the place, probably due to the older furniture that was there. During our stay there were 3 separate deliveries for Kevin where we were staying, 2 from a pharmacy and a UPS delivery. At the last delivery from the pharmacy, we discovered Kevin was next door in the rental we had reserved, as his brother was in town visiting him. I sent an email to Kevin asking for an explanation, but he did not respond. I didn't want to give a bad review, but I feel we were deceived and ended up in Kevin's apartment.
We really enjoyed staying at Kevin's place. Kevin himself is super thoughtful and helpful; he came and worked out a couple of bugs with the TV remotes as soon as we arrived. He also had tons of information and suggestions about the area, and was always available if anything came up. The apartment is well fitted out with everything we needed. Though the traffic in LA is challenging, Kevin's place is in Silver Lake, which is central. It was a 40-minute drive to Disneyland, 15 minutes from Dodger Stadium, 20 minutes to downtown galleries and concerts, and less than an hour to fabulous beaches. We even drove up to Malibu and the Getty Center one day, no problem. Also right next door to the Hollywood district. Lots of great restaurants right around in Glendale, plus great shopping. This is our fourth stay in LA, and as to location and facilities, definitely the best. We highly recommend staying with Kevin.
