New Orleans, Louisiana
A memorable getaway awaits you at this 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental house in New Orleans that comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests. Over 80 years old, this home features the charm of the 1930's with modern and updated furnishings. Located in the heart of Uptown, you and your travel companions can enjoy shopping, dining out, touring classic New Orleans cemeteries, or walking the streets abounding with stately oak trees!
Passed down for generations, this family-owned home was built prior to the creation of the levee system, resulting in the living quarters being built above street level. Previously a double shotgun, the home has been converted into a single comfortable unit with a large eat-in kitchen, fully stocked for those visitors who love to cook. Throughout, sparkling hardwood floors and classic pocket book doors add to the elegance of the home. For peaceful relaxation during your downtime, walk out onto the screened-in front porch to curl up with a book in the swing, or make your way into the backyard, where a patio area provides the perfect spot to lounge while enjoying a refreshing beverage.
Early risers will look forward to preparing a tasty breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen before walking through lovely neighborhoods to grab a cup of coffee at one of the local coffee shops. Take an afternoon ride to the French Quarter downtown or Oak Street in the Carrollton Historic District, stopping by the numerous art galleries, antique shops, and great restaurants along the way. For dinner, savor the Cajun cuisine at one of the many nearby restaurants, including Jacques-Imo's and Salon Restaurant by Sucre, two beloved restaurants in the area. After a day spent relishing in the charm of the city, you'll love relaxing back at home, gathered with your loved ones in the living room to watch your favorite TV shows or movies.
From this superb vacation rental home, you'll be in the perfect location to explore all of New Orleans' greatest areas and attractions! Whether you want to exercise in Audubon Park, grocery shop at Whole Foods, dine out at some of the hippest restaurants in the Marigny, or shop at the adorable boutiques on Magazine Street, you're only a short ride away from it all! No matter how you choose to spend your time in The Big Easy, you're sure to have a memorable getaway when you stay at this splendid vacation rental house!

Great Nola house
A group of family and friends stayed here for one week over the first weekend of Jazz Fest. Some of us were old Nola people (four years at Tulane) and a couple were new to the city. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We had a brief problem with Wifi access (password issue) that was resolved. Beds were comfortable and the back yard was a pleasant place to have a glass of wine and talk. There were plenty of towels and a really nice new washer/dryer. (WAY nicer than the one at my house!) We didn't really do any cooking since one of our favorite things is eating out. The modern kitchen did seem very well supplied with pots/pans etc if one did want to cook. Location was perfect for several of our favorite places and it was walking distance to Bistro Daisy, Le Petite Grocery and Patois and a short drive to other places (Cochon, Coquette, Dante's Kitchen). Fabulous bakery for breakfast needs (La Boulangerie) was a short walk too. Streetcar was walking distance as well, and on one non-Jazz Fest day we took streetcar downtown. Off-street parking exists for one car on driveway but street parking was also easy. Beware that New Orleans has some of the worst, most pot-holed streets in America and the streets are very narrow. Our friends rented a big SUV which was occasionally tricky while our smaller rental car was easier to navigate. Would highly recommend this house!
Clean and on quiet street
The only complaint we had was that air conditioner was set on a schedule or controlled by the owners remotely. We had to continually change the thermostat to remain comfortable.
Excellent location, quaint, nice kitchen and plent
Excellent location, quaint, nice kitchen and plenty of space
Great house! Plenty of Everything!
There were 8 of us for a few nights for my niece's wedding. Very comfortable house. Plenty of everything you need!! Only disappointment was when we arrived, the air conditioner was off and so very hot. It took several hours to cool off. After that all was fine!!
Great home for family reunion!
Spacious and charming with all the extra dishes and spices and blankets that one could need. We gathered to celebrate graduation and enjoyed many meals around the table. Would definitely come back
Nice neighborhood, great place to stay
This was an excellent play for our New Orleans trip. We had a sisters weekend. The four bedrooms were separate enough so we all had our own space. The kitchen was a great space to cook breakfast and visit. The neighborhood has beautiful historic homes. There are several good places to eat within walking distance. The streetcar is about nine blocks away and it is very walkable. Overall one of the better Airbnb places I have stayed. The property manager was responsive to our requests. Recommend highly.
