Best find in New York City
We enjoyed our stay in Barbara and Casey's home so very much! The room is lovely, the bath is extra special, and the location is excellent! Truly just a 2 minute walk to the L line and a few minutes from Manhattan. We felt very safe walking around the area at night. Lots of restaurants and "people watching" is great! Barbara went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay! She is a gracious hostess. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Big Apple.
Carol and her husband are wonderful guests. They are very friendly and easy to be around. It was a great pleasure knowing them. They obeyed rules of our house and left the room spotless. We would highly recommend them to any future hosts. They are always welcome in our house and hopefully we will see them again.
Welcoming Host, Big Room, Separate Bathroom
Comfortable stay, the hosts and family were lovely and welcoming. Would consider this home for future trips!
A beautiful place in a very convenient location in Brooklyn. Everything is as advertised, beautiful.
Barbara and Casey were wonderful hosts and incredibly warm personalities. The residence was safe, comfortable, and mere steps away from the L train. I would recommend this destination to anyone, and will likely stay here again on my next trip to Brooklyn.
Beautiful home, great hosts
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Barbara and Casey's beautifully remodeled home. The rental bedroom and bath is located on the 1st floor and we had the entire floor to ourselves much of the time. There is a dining room, small kitchen and extra bathroom on the same floor as the rental bedroom and bath. We saw Barbara most days for a brief period of time and also met Casey a few times.
Barbara's communications with us were seamless and quick. The bedroom and bath were very quiet, comfortable and spacious. We were just a short walk to the grocery stores and subway stations. We chose the place to be close to our son who lives in the neighborhood, but it was also easy for us to quickly pop over to Manhattan to do some of the NYC museums.
We would definitely stay with Barbara and Casey again and recommend them as hosts wholeheartedly.
Leslie and Jack are wonderful guests. We had a great time chatting with them. They are very friendly and we felt as we know them for a long time. They left the room spotless. We would highly recommend them to any future hosts. Hope, they will visit us again.
A great location in a quiet street, lovely hosts.
Ideally situated on a quiet street a few steps from the subway where you can catch the L train to Manhattan within a couple of stops. The room & bathroom are exactly like the photos, very clean & comfortable. Barbara was very easy to communicate with beforehand, always getting back to me really quickly with useful information. She & her husband were very welcoming & made us feel at home. We hadn’t realised you had to go through their kitchen to reach the room, however we never saw them as they lived mostly upstairs & it also had the added unexpected bonus of being able to use some space in the fridge & get access to a toaster & hob if you needed it.
We had been to Manhattan before a number of years ago so deliberately choose Williamsburg, Brooklyn as we wanted to explore it too, this place is ideal for that. Bedford Avenue, the hub of Williamsburg is a very interesting stroll away with loads of great shops, cafes & pubs to see on route. Green Point is also worth a stroll, particularly towards the river as you get amazing views over to Manhattan, again great cafes & pubs & people watching to be had. Sitting on Brooklyn Heights promenade is a must for watching the sun set over Manhattan, take a picnic & just take it all in. No point in saying what’s a must do in Manhattan as there’s just so much, whatever you want it’s got it!
A wonderful time at a wonderful place!
Barbara and Casey were amazing hosts for our short time in NYC! The place was clean and well maintained in addition to having everything that we needed!
The location served to be extremely beneficial too, being only a 4 minute walk to the L train and only a 10 minute ride to Manhattan. If we had to book a place to stay again, we would most definitely choose to stay with Barbara and Casey! Very grateful for everything they did and the kind people that they are!
Maddi and Beau are wonderful guests, very friendly, easy going and easy to communicate with. They obeyed rules of our house and left the room nice and neat. We would highly recommend them to any future hosts. We wish them all the best and hope to see them again.
