Perfect for an Ann Arbor getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house is great! A group of four of us came in from Chicago to run the Ann Arbor half marathon and stayed here. It was perfect! We had everything we needed and more! The hosts are more than helpful and are very generous and accommodating. The house is clean, updated, comfortable, and charming. It is a short walk to the Michigan campus and the downtown area of Ann Arbor. If I can make it back to Ann Arbor I will definitely be checking to see if I can stay here again!

Charming, comfortable and conveniently located home

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay in Ann Arbor! This home is quite lovely and very convenient for us since we had activities in both Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. John & Amber are attentive owners but they are not intrusive, offering to help in any capacity we needed but giving us respect with privacy. They offered great advice for local restaurants and activities. I would highly recommend this house. We will certainly request this home again next time we are in Ann Arbor. We definitely had a delightful experience!

Old style house, temperature control was a bit slow, but it suited all our needs

  • 4 of 5

The house was spacious and comfortable, but the style was a bit old style and we constantly saw ants running around; along with this the temperature control was a little iffy but still worked in the summer heat. It definitely suited our needs and the owner was relatively quick with the responses to our questions that we asked him. The location was relatively convenient and had ample parking. Overall I'd say this was a nice choice in comparison to paying much more for the hotel room.

Owner's Response: Hello Jesse, I am a bit surprised by your review since during our periodic emails you stated that the house "was great!" As far as the heating, it was set to 75°F and went as high as 78° during your stay according to Nest. It is a gravity fed system but I could not detect an issue other than maybe if you wanted it higher than that? Ants, there were no ants present before your arrival but I did see them after your stay and we have since had an exterminator over. No more ants. I wish you would have mentioned this when I emailed to ask how everything was. We strive to provide a 5 star stay. I believe we have addressed the issues you experienced during your stay. Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Best wishes, John
