Panguitch Lake, Aspen Mirror Lake, Navajo Lake, Cedar Breaks and Brian Head Resort & Duck Creek Village are each less than 45 minutes away.

We have a strict no-pet and no-smoking policy. The access road to the house is steep and unpaved. A normal passenger sedan is fine for accessing the property during the summer, however a 4-wheel drive vehicle is required for access during the winter. Access via motorcycle is not recommended during any season.

About Owner

I was born in Germany, grew up in France and moved to Las Vegas in 2002. I enjoy the outdoors and all our great National Parks in the area. Do not hesitate to reach out before or during your stay, for any questions on the area. Let's pick the adventures nearby that fit your unique vacationing style.

What makes this house unique

What makes this home unique is that it has all the modern upgrades: central heat and air, granite countertops, walk in tiles showers, Trex deck, metal roof etc, yet it is completely secluded, on top of a ridge without neighbors. It is the perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city and resource oneself.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I just want to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your home. It was the perfect family getaway location and the views were amazing. We will definitely be back!!

This place was a gem of a find! It was an absolute treat to stay in a place so comfortable, clean, beautifully maintained.. truly everything had been thought of. The bedrooms were cosy & warm, the bathrooms spotless. We cooked a full traditional Christmas meal & the kitchen was so well appointed it was a dream to prepare in. We loved the isolation, it felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves, but Bryce & Zion were within such easy reach that we didn’t have to compromise & stay in a hotel room. The sunsets on the balcony with the fire pit blazing were an added extra! Thank you so much Jean for letting us stay in your beautiful Hideaway. We’ve recommended it to our family & friends as by far the best place to explore the parks of Utah from.

Beautiful home and location!

Our stay at the ridgetop hideaway was very pleasant. The king beds are comfortable and house is very beautiful with an amazing view! We never figured out where to drop the garbage so better instructions would be nice, but everything else was great.

Overall the accommodations were fantastic.

  • 5 of 5

Overall the accommodations were fantastic. The house was easy to find and in a great location, just about half way between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. We spent our days hiking in both parks and then returning in the evening to enjoy the sunset views. And, once it got dark enough, star gazing.

Since we like to cook and planned to have all of our dinners at the house, it was great to find just about everything we needed in the kitchen. The only items that were missing were some serving bowls and platters.

To summarize, the house exceeded our expectations, was extremely clean and well cared for, and the photos on VRBO web site do not due the Ridgetop Hideway justice. It's actually better than the photos show it to be,

Owner's Response: Hi Tony and Lynda, Thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience with us! It's wonderful to hear that the house and its location were amenable to you; stargazing is such fun. We will look into adding some serving bowls and platters (thank you for that idea!), and are glad that you enjoyed cooking at Ridgetop! The laundry room certainly should not smell like sewer gas; after talking with our house keeper, it sounds as though the washing machine can emit a mildew smell if the door is left closed, so perhaps this is what happened? We will absolutely double check that all is functioning as it should in the laundry room and that the air is fresh! And it is great to know that one of the burners is out on the gas grill so that we can repair that. Your statement that the house is even better than the photos show is so appreciated; that is high praise, and it means a lot that we could help to create a memorable vacation for you! Enjoy your time back home and we would be honored if you come back again someday! Warmest wishes, Trynn Assistant to Jean

Wonderful. Great location.

The only thing I found problematic was taking the garbage into Hatch at the end of the stay. It just seems like the cleaning staff could take care of that. Otherwise a beautiful setting, great location for exploring all the great parks around there.

Owner's Response: Hello, Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay! We appreciate your feedback regarding trash disposal and have modified our guest manual. Guests who stay for a short period may now leave their rubbage for the cleaning service to dispose of. We now request that visitors who are staying for longer than a few days should dispose of their trash at the municipal dumpster periodically, perhaps when heading out anyway to visit a national park, simply to avoid trash bins overflowing within the accommodation and to maintain a sanitary environment. We hope that this will create a more relaxing experience for guests. It sounds like you found beauty in the landscape and home and had such fun exploring the national parks! Thank you for staying with us and we wish you a beautiful fall season and hope to work with you again someday. Warmest wishes, Trynn Assistant to Jean

Amazing find!

  • 5 of 5

Just wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home! It was our first time to the area and were so pleased with the location (between Bryce and Zion). After coming from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon where there were so many tourist, it was so nice to enjoy the peace and quiet of your place in the mountains. The view at sunset from the deck was awesome. The house had all the comforts of home. Thank you again and we hope to come back soon.
