Cabin Enviro Eco Culture-pet friendly

Bedrooms 2
Space 200 sq ft
Property type cabin

About the property

Best oxygen you will ever breath.

This cabin was built with 110- 6*6*8 solid red cedar logs- a high insulation factor. Inside of the cabin has three screened in windows and door that opens- the double glass door does not open.

There is a huge wrap around deck with an overhead roof for the picnic table, propane stove, and chaise lounge. I have slept more on that chaise lounge outside then inside of the cabin.

Think of this as a tent but just a more protective cabin from elements. There is a wood burning stove. This cabin in located in the forest off road. You will need a four wheel drive vehicle-you have to drive car across the field or leave car on side of field then walk. I have a host that can drive you to cabin with all your gear. This cabin is like a tent. Think of this as a camping trip-bring everything except the tent. Please bring all cooking utensils, bedding, matches, head lights, flash lights, over head lights, soap, bug spray, trash bags, hat, pocket knife, water bottle sling, water, towels, canoe shoes, batteries, sleeping bags, sheets, pillows, fire starter bricks, battery pack, phone, cooler for ice, food, drinks, swim suit in Summer, matches, coffee pots, wood for wood burning stove.

About Lisa Underhill

I am Lisa Carlon Underhill. I live in Louisville. Enviro Eco Culture built this cabin for educational outreach classes-how to live off the grid and practice sustainable methods. Most of the proceeds from these rentals goes to sustainable initiatives sponsored by EEC. You will learn how to make own bug spray, room fresher, ect. if Director of EEC shows up as host for a short seminar. If you prefer EEC not to host a short seminar please let me know. EEC will discuss how to make natural non-toxic bug spray and other products.

Lisa Underhill purchased this cabin in 2009

Why Lisa Underhill chose Leavenworth

The oxygen. Behind the cabin is the Hoosier National Forest. There are 800 plus acres. Also, there are five hundred plus acres of private property forest located around property. The nocturnal symphony of animals, wind, is divine.

I do not recommend this property to people who need amenities. This place does not have electricity, running water.

What makes this cabin unique

This is a great place to rejuvenate your heart and soul. This is tree bathing extraordinaire.

There are many gravel roads to hike on during the Summer and deer paths to hike during Winter.

Really loved how giant the deck is, beautiful property around the cabin, the cabin is cozy inside with screens to open and let the breeze in. It's away from everything and has trails to walk around. Definitely looking forward to coming back in the winter!

Such a beautiful escape!

I stayed in this cabin for one night during Memorial Day weekend and it was such a blast! My friends and I were looking for something secluded and relaxing and this was perfect! The views are amazing from the lifted, wrap around porch and the cabin is clean, updated, and quaint. My favorite part was watching the sunrise while sitting on the porch. We are already planning our net trip here!
