My husband I have been coming to Revelstoke and involved with Revelstoke Mountain Resort since 1990. We have been home owners since 1994 and just bought our dream house that you see here in July of 2012!
Julia Sievwright purchased this estate in 2012
This property is absolutely amazing! Large yet cozy, lots of private areas, massive glass and beam living/dining area, exquisite furnishings.
Pure luxury in an absolutely private mountain setting.
We had an amazing five days at the property including hosting our perfect backyard wedding. The house and property are perfect for events as there are multiple ways to setup your perfect venue. The house has everything you need plus more to make the stay stress-free. Chuck (the property manager) goes above and beyond and is probably the most helpful guy in Revelstoke. Thanks for the amazing stay!
We just want to thank you for our wonderful stay at your fantastic home in Revelstoke....It was just the best! There was plenty of space, well stocked, user friendly kitchen , - the double wall ovens were a plus, the huge log table, cool antiques, the fireplaces in the bedrooms - wow! And the piano ..... well used and made for such a homey holiday:) The heated garage was nice to put all the snowboard gear out of the cold. We got incredible powder - like 16 inches one day, so that made everyone smile! Gma went x-country skiing around the property and Chuck was so helpful too. The hot tub was great, too, it did get smelly the last day tho...not sure if you need a chlorine floater maybe?
The family is already asking about next year...
Thank you from the Howden family
This home and property are absolutely breathtaking. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here in September, and were so happy with how it turned out. After much searching (and debate) about where to hold the wedding, we were both really impressed by this venue!
Our wedding was fairly large (approx. 200), and this property easily accommodated that many guests, with its expansive grounds. That being said, we had many more intimate gathering with friends and family before and after the wedding and the home was perfect for this as well.
For the wedding, we held the ceremony off to one side, with a sweeping mountain view as our backdrop. For the reception, we ate and drank under the stars while the band played to the crowd from one of the decks off the house. It couldn't have been more perfect. It did get a bit chilly at night since it was September so the fire pit behind the house was definitely a crowd-pleaser.
All in all I would recommend this spot to everyone. In my opinion, you would be hard pressed to find a more spectacular setting.
This home and property are absolutely breath taking. My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here, after much searching we could not have been more pleased that we found this location. Finding a property that can handle 200 guests for a ceremony and reception yet has a rustic serenity to it was no easy task but this home was perfect. We held our ceremony in the side yard with the Columbia river and Mt. Begbie as our back drop. The tents and dance floor for the reception fit easily in the expansive, well manicured grounds to the rear of the house, and our band used one of the many decks off the house as their stage. The house was the perfect setting to have some time with friends and family the night before and day after the wedding. It is beautifully decorated with tons of room and gorgeous wood work throughout. Our experience from start to finish could not have been more perfect. There is no question that this is the nicest property available in Revelstoke.
Julia always answered promptly and kindly to our e-mails. Chuck welcomed us warmly in the house and was very available for us. The house is truly not common, it's incredibly beautiful. The living room is absolutely amazing !!! We loved the view and especially with the garden freshly mowed.
We were very lucky with the weather and we hiked every day in Mount Revelstoke National Park and in Glacier National Park.
We came from France, it was far but really worth it. Our holiday in Revelstoke was very nice and we hope to come again another time ! Thank you Julia
My husband and I rented this property as the venue for our wedding. The house, combined with the scenery is absolutely incredible. We were immediately drawn to the house from the pictures, the rustic look of the construction along with the generous sized grounds was exactly what we were looking for. From the deck you can look up to see the Mount Begbie Glacier and down to the Columbia River. It is truly spectacular. The inside of the house is lovely. It is extremely grand with high ceilings and amazing wooden posts and beams. The house is furnished very nicely and is very comfortable. We enjoyed many nights sitting on the deck enjoying the view, and we even had a fire in the fire pit. There is definitely no other property like this in Revelstoke, it is truly one of kind!
