Our brand new, first floor apartment is in the small, unspoilt, village of Lauterbrunnen. Nestled between the towering walls of a shear sided valley that is famed for its waterfalls and awesome views in every direction. The sunny south facing balcony with table and chairs for summer dining is accessed through large french doors. Inside the living and dining areas are light and spacious and equipped with TV and DVD player. The kitchen is modern with granite worktops and very well equipped with ceramic hob, large fridge and dishwasher. Two beautiful bedrooms, one double, one twin both with stunning views. The bathroom, with shower in bath, toilet and twin basins also houses a brand new washing machine and dryer. The whole apartment has underfloor heating and is tiled throughout. Downstairs there is a heated ski and boot storage area. The apartment is conveniently situated on the bus route with connections to the Schilthorn cableway and main train stations in the village itself.

We had a fantastic experience - the place was well-furnished, clean, and adorable, and the host was extremely responsive and helpful. Couldn't have picked a more perfect place for our ski weekend.
We booked this place because we wanted to be in Lauterbrunnen and the view on the ad looked enticing. We were not disappointed by the view. It is stunning. We liked the location, easy walk to the train station and grocery. It was very clean, comfortable and we made great memories with our son and his friends.
Our family (2 adults and 2 boys 10 and 7) stayed at Heather's apartment this past August for 10 days. Heather was very helpful with the booking process, and we were amazed at the quality of the apartment when we first walked in. We make a point of staying in vacation rentals when we travel and this was by far the highest level one we visited.
The kitchen was stocked with everything we could imagine, bedrooms comfortable and cozy, the living room and dining room were extremely comfortable and the washer and drier were an perk we made sure to use!
Not to mention the beautiful view from the windows and great location, the kids enjoyed our stay so much they actually said they'll miss that apartment when we had to leave!
Thank you Heather for the wonderful experience!
We had a fantastic time and just loved our apartment! It was even better in person than the pictures and description on the web. Spotless, comfortable, convenient...we felt very much at home! We were a family of 4, 2 parents and 2 adult children (18 and 21) and the apartment was perfect - very spacious. We loved walking into town, jogging along the river, walking to the waterfalls, gorgeous views of the mountains and the valley...restaurants and cafe in town. It was all just amazing and we can't wait to go back. Heather was great to deal with and very helpful. Internet connection in the apartment was great too.
My friends and I (5 of us) had a great time in Lauterbrunnen. Although it was tiring visiting the many attractions in the area each day, it was nice to be able to return to a cozy apartment which was so comfortable that some of us felt reluctant to get out of in the morning. It was spacious, clean, well maintained, well equipped (utensils, crockery, washing machines/dryer, TV etc) and certainly one of the best apartments we have ever stayed at during our trips around the world.
While the apartment is located a little far from the Lauterbrunnen train station, it was not a problem for us as we had access to a car. Thanks to a kind friend who runs a restaurant up at Murren (Tham Snacks and Drinks Chinese Restaurant), we could drive around the beautiful valley for the few days we were there. No car? Not a problem. The bus stops just right at the driveway to the apartment and so you will unlikely miss it. Located amongst a few other apartments, with a tiny stream flowing alongside, it has a great view of the Staubbach Falls. To reach the Lauterbrunnen train station or the other locations within the valley like Trummelbach Falls or the Stechelberg Cable Car Station, you can drive, take the bus, or simply walk if you have the time and energy.
The owners, Heather and Tony met up with us on the first evening at the apartment and gave us a warm welcome. They were very friendly and helpful.
I have been to Lauterbrunnen a few times already but each time the valley and its surroundings fascinate me. I will likely return sometime in the future and I won't hesitate to stay at this apartment again.
The apartment was spacious, clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Its location is excellent with wonderful views and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
We would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

The Lauterbrunnen Valley is the largest glacial 'U' shaped valley in the world. It is a little known fact that the author JRR Tolkien journeyed here in 1925 and apon seeing this magical valley, he never forgot it. It became the inspiration for 'Rivendell' home of the Elves in his book 'Lord of the Rings'. Indeed nothing has changed, the views are still breathtaking, the natural beauty unspoilt. There are miles of clearly marked walking and hiking trails on either side of the valley in summer and in winter the skiing options are many; Schilthorn with its famous James Bond revolving restaurant, and Wengen with its renowned Lauberhorn Race on the worldcup curcuit in January. For non skiers, there are also winter walking and snow shoe trails, and plenty of restaurants to relax in and enjoy real Swiss tradition. Lauterbrunnen itself houses some excellent restaurants and cafes, as well as sport shops for ski rental and booking offices.
Other Activities: Winter activities include; cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating and curling. In summer skydiving, white water rafting and canyoning. www.interlakenactivities.com
