Our 3BR/2BA, modernized and splendid home is in the perfect spot off of South Lamar. We have completely renovated this home; everything is new and ready for your Austin retreat. When you walk in the front door you will be greeted with an open floor plan, with the living room flowing into the dining and kitchen. We have installed a large flat screen TV complete with AT&T U-Verse for our guests’ viewing pleasure. We have new leather couches to lounge around on and one is a sleeper sofa. Our dining room comes with seating for four at the table and two additional bar stools. Our kitchen is fully equipped for your Top Chef! We have all new stainless steel Frigidaire appliances, 12 cup coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, and a blender (to name a few). Down the hall you will find our two ample guest bedrooms which share a full bath. The first guest room has a deluxe king sized bed with luxury sheets and bedding. The second guest room comes complete with a full sized bed, sheets fit for a queen and a large closet. The master bedroom is on the other side of the house and is a sprawling space with a king sized bed, flat screen TV and cable. The master bedroom also has a small library of books, huge walk in closet and attached full bath. We made sure to stock our house with top of the line bedding and soft towels; because that is the way we like it! Come for the location but stay for the luxury!
Our sweet spot is located off of South Lamar. South Lamar is the epitome of “Keep Austin Weird” with its low-budget, low-key lifestyle which is exemplified by its cheap eateries, cool thrift shops, and dive bars. We are minutes from downtown, Zilker Park and South Congress. We are surrounded by local music, amazing eateries, and trendy sights. While staying in our awesome pad, don’t miss an opportunity to try out Matt’s El Rancho which has some of the best Mexican food and margaritas in town. Also grab some burgers and brew at Black Sheep Lodge. Gourdough’s Public House mixes the Texas favorites of donuts and burgers, trust us you are going to love it!
The City of Austin limits occupancy to six unrelated adults.

The house was very unassuming like most in Barton Hills. Inside was very spacious. The house was clean and modern. We did have a few Texas roaches but it was explained if you rid scorpions then they resurface. The house was perfect for us to stay with our kids over spring break. No yard for them to play but Zilker Park close by.
The house is in a good location close to everything. Rented it for 3 days for SXSW (about 5 mins from 6th St. with no traffic). Beds were clean, sheets was cleaned. Only problems was ants were raided inside the front door. Also found a roach in one of the rooms.
The house had a great location. We wondered about the inside because the outside was so overgrown and not kept at all. Weeds growing out of the gutters etc. The inside was very clean and we enjoyed the stay. My only real complaint was there was only 1/2 roll toilet paper in the master and 1/2 roll and a spare for the other bathroom. There was only one dishwasher soap so I thought it could have been a little bit better. It would have been nice to have one hairdryer and info regarding the coffee pot but overall was a good place for us to stay.
This house is in a very good location for access to downtown. Most anything you need can be found on Lamar St. i.e. gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, honky tonks, etc. Our first impressions of the house were very good. The unit seemed to have everything we needed. Beds were comfortable but they were very high. If you are a short person or have any problems with your back, hips or knees, this will be an issue. Each bedroom closet was allotted 7 hangers. I could have used more. Bathrooms were adequate (what is up with those extra high shower heads?) Plenty of towels. Uneven floors throughout the house cause doors not to fit the frame or stay closed. This in itself was not a big issue. The first night we were in the unit, we found and killed 2 HUGE roaches. One was in the master bathroom tub and the other was on the lampshade in one of the guest rooms. CREEPY! Didn't see any others during our 4 night stay. The backyard space is non-existent. It is basically an area for the air conditioner. It was too hot to sit outside because of the 90 degree weather so it was another non-issue. We used the kitchen daily since we ate breakfast at home. In addition to the usual stove, fridge & dishwasher, we used the toaster and blender. No problems with any. Odd selection of drinking glasses. The living room couch & love seat need to be updated. Not comfortable for more than one person at a time to sit on them since they sink in the center and you roll into each other. We spent a lot of time together catching up and a good seating area would have been appreciated. The last night we piled into the king sized bed in the master bedroom and watched a movie on HBO since that was the more comfortable place to be. All in all, it was a good location for us. Not sure if I would rent this property again if there were other options available.
The property manager was more than helpful.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Rental was a great idea. Rooms were perfect for three couples. Had several issues. Reason for 4 star rating. Upon arrival we found roaches in the master. Called 1800# was told I would get a phone call from rental property maintenance. That never happened. I'm okay with finding them dead. Alive not good. Asked if I was from Texas, and was told I should expect that. Not sure how to respond to that. Restroom door in hallway did not close or lock properly. Comforters and sheets need to be inspected found various stains which looked liked blood. Blankets and sheets were provided which were washed and used promptly.
The property manager was very helpful.

Rented this unit for 3 nights post Christmas. Wet found the property in a great location, close to downtown, close to great restaurants on South Lamar. The unit was spotless upon arrival, and very easy to find. Huge master bedroom and guestrooms. We had 4 people and found it very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for an alternative to eating out at the great Austin restaurants. My only critiques were that the only parking for this unit is street parking, and that the master bedroom bed needs a plush mattress pad between the mattress and sheets. Tiny critique. We loved the unit and will be looking to return for F1 in the fall 2016.
Great location convenient to everything in central Austin. Minutes from Dell Children's Hospital, I-35, and the University of Texas. Easy drive to downtown, Central Market and the Arboretum. Walking distance to shops and restaurants at The Triangle and the hip North Loop neighborhood that includes Epoch Coffee and great restaurants like Foreign & Domestic.
