About Brad Mallow and Daniel Skahen
Growing up, our family vacationed in the Cape every summer and we came to appreciate the unique beauty of the national seashore, historical preservation and laid back life that this area offers.
Brad Mallow and Daniel Skahen purchased this House in 2017
Why Brad Mallow and Daniel Skahen chose Provincetown
This home has the charm of an old-time Sea Captain's house, with its beautiful hardwood floors and stained glass windows. Provincetown is one of the oldest art colonies in the United States and this heritage is still alive today. Take a stroll down Commercial street and you will see numerous galleries -- many of which have seen generations of painters. We were drawn to Provincetown because of the rich art history that is as strong today as it was 120 years ago.
What makes this House unique
This private single-family home is very unusual in that it has incredible outdoor spaces, and has three parking spaces. The Master Bedroom is enormous, and offers renters a seating area, and a desk area. The Junior Suite is located on the first floor, and has its own comfortable family room, bath and access to the side patio.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Perfection in Provincetown
This home has nothing but 5 stars reviews for a reason: they're 100% well-earned and deserved. From the moment we began the booking process until the time we said our goodbyes, everything was wonderful.
Location: It really cannot be beat. You're super close to the middle of town (west side), but far enough way to really enjoy peace and quiet when you need it. 5 minutes walk to Spiritus. 5 minutes walk to the grocery store. 7 minutes walk to A-House/Crown area. The entire group said the location alone made our whole trip so much better.
Common Spaces: One of the strongest points of the home, for sure. The living and dining areas are incredibly inviting and we found ourselves not wanting to leave the house because we were so comfy and loved spending time there. The kitchen is large and accommodates several folks at a time for cooking and/or hanging out. Tons of counter space for storing food and snacks and more glasses and utensils than you would expect. Very well stocked.
Bedrooms: The master suite was lovely with a VERY comfortable bed. Know that the master bath and bedroom are in the same room with partial walls. No issue at all for us, but if you're sharing the house and bathrooms with others they'll want to know this in advance. The other upstairs bedrooms were very nice and roomy. The downstairs has another queen bed with it's own bath. Very nice for a couple who want a bit more privacy. If you have 6 or fewer people, you'll never fight for bathroom access overall.
Outdoor spaces: We didn't use them much on our trip, but everything you'd expect is there.
Communication with Hosts: Perfection. Brad and Dan really get it and we're honored they shared their home with us.
Beautiful weekend away in Provincetown
For most of my friends it was our first time in Provincetown, arriving to Brad and Dan’s home was amazing and it made our trip perfect. The house was beautifully decorated in each room, very clean with a large kitchen and common area to all hang out in. There was an outdoor table to sit at for morning coffee and have dinner at night as well as an indoor table. The location of the house and the designated parking spots made everything incredibly easy for us. I would recommend this home to anyone and would love to stay here again!
Reunion dream house!
It was lovely for us to be in such a welcoming home when we’d traveled from various States across the U.S and even one of our group from Australia for a 20 year reunion. The renovations are fabulous and the kitchen was perfect for cooking large meals and very well equiped. Hopefully we’ll be back Schooner than Later”
Even Better than the Photos!
We arrived on a very dark and stormy winter night with high winds and pouring rain. The directions got us to the house without any problems, the key easy to access. We got into the house through the clean and modern kitchen, dropped our umbrellas and wet coats on the tile floor and turned on the first floor lights-- and pretty much were blown away with the outstanding interior design, details, furnishings, colors and layout. We all live in pretty nice homes in Connecticut and to say this place kept pace with the taste of our pickiest interior designer friend is an understatement. It exceeded our expectations all around. After the first day we rented the place for the following year and are already looking forward to returning. After the 4th day we hated to leave. Thanks to the gentlemen owners for creating a truly terrific environment in which to unwind and enjoy.
Beautiful spaces, responsive hosts, great location
This was the second time my group of friends stayed at the home. Brad is very quick and responsive to my inquiries and the rental went off without a hitch. When a very minor issue arose with a smoke detector beeping, the property manager was there within 45 minutes to remedy the situation. The pictures are accurate and convey a very good feeling of the actual space. The location within P'town, close to Commercial and Bradford streets, but not too close, is great. It is about a 10 minute walk from the ferry dock.
We plan to rent again next year, Todd
Exceptional P-town House
This is truly an outstanding house in Provincetown. It is very spacious, making it very comfortable, with plenty of space for hosting a dinner party inside or out. Centrally located, a short walk from everything. We had a great Labor Day stay and wished our time didn't need to come to an end.
