Sleeps a maximum of 14 people. Attached is a mother in laws area, and combined with the cabin they have 3 bathrooms. When you walk in this family cabin's front door, to the left is a mother in laws quarter with a living room including TV, sink, bathroom, a couch that makes into a bed, and a bedroom that has a queen size waterless bed. Turn to the right at the front door and there's a large kitchen. The family table seats 8 comfortably but we use it for 10. Then up the stairs to a bedroom with a double bed. Continue up the stairs to a large loft that has two twin beds, one has a trundle, then a twin bed over a double bed with a trundle under it. The next loft has two twin beds. Water is up to our dock normally during the months of May-August. In September, the water is lower and we will not guarantee that water will be up to the dock.
Our family has been blessed with summer vacations on Bass Lake for 15 years. The reason is that my mother grew up on a lake and wanted to make sure her kids and grandkids knew how to swim and ski. We have and continue to build some great memories for all of us.
Bass Lake Realty Vacation Rentals purchased this cabin in 2002
This cabin has been a part of our family for ten years. When my mom and dad saw this cabin they fell in love with it and purchased it. We love the view of the lake and moutains that it gives us. We have worked hard to improve the outside area to make it just the way we want it. It's decorated with Bears throughout. As part of our family tradition we go to the Fork's for lunch. They are known for having the best hamburgers in the area. Then at night we take a slow boat ride over to Miller's and have ice cream. We love the location right off Road 274.
Whether we have just family members or friends over, it's perfect if you want to relax and enjoy the quietness and the breathe taken views. Or if you want to have a fun time in the water in the summer or enjoying the snow during the winter. The cabin deck has 3 tables and lots of extra chairs. Around the side of the house is a deck leading to the BBQ. There is a path walking down to the water that's lighted for those night rides and walks. The large deck down by the water gets morning sun and afternoon shade. It's perfect in the hot summers and cold winters. Our private dock is located in the Lakeshore Beach Club cove and there's a swim dock you can swim too. Our dock can tie up two boats and has two jet ski ramps to rest on.
We sure needed a relaxing vacation. The water level was low but the view from the dock was amazing. The dock got the morning sun and the afternoon shade. We rented jet skis and brought our boat with us and had a fantastic time. The house was open and I love the deck. We fit about 20 people comfortably for a bbq. No parking problems, just lots of relaxing and playing in the water. I'm renting this cabin again next year.
In 2013 we stayed at this house and had a fabulous time! We were 2 families with teenagers, One of the best vacations we've ever had! So of course we booked again last year...2014.....WOW...well first of all no one warned us about the drought and the water level! The deck was on shore......to get to the water you had to hike through a mud bank!. Awful!! No where to secure jetskis or boat.! Across from the house theres a guy that doesnt want anyone to enjoy their vacation.....he shouts at the kids whether on jet skis or jumping from the rocks. ....I think the biggest insult last year was after such a disappointing stay the owners had the audacity to withhold a substancial amount of money from our deposit. Just sent it to us (4 weeks after our stay) with a note saying black mark on chair and broken lamp in living room!! NO DISCUSSING Well we cleaned the house before we left...also paid upfront the cleaning fee (its just the owners that come and give place a quick once over) WE NEVER SAT IN LIVING ROOM!!!! NOT ONCE! our kids are grown ...we left no black mark on chair!!! Such a greedy shame! We WILL NOT be going back to this house...we will for sure be going back to bass lake...Loved it!!!
We stayed here for a friends and family getaway and were not disappointed. This is a great spot with all the amenities. We had a boat which made the private dock access absolutely perfect. If your looking for a quiet house for families, and want a home away from home (great kitchen, beds, games, lake access, and less than 2 miles from town) this is your spot. I'm afraid to tell too much as I want this house again next year but don't want to let the secret out!
What a beautiful week on Bass Lake! This cabin was awesome, we never left the entire week. It was so peaceful and in a perfect location. It was a great family vacation and we hope to come back again in the near future. It felt so comfortable, like we were staying in a family home.
We had a great time. Loved the people at millers landing that we rented our water crafts from. The owner of the property was very kind and could be contacted at anytime for questions or advice. One of our best vacations yet
Bass Lake is a nice small town. It has several restaurants that are well known. Like Ducey's, Forks. Miller's, and a nice Mexican Restaurant. About 10 minutes away is a movie theater, bowling alley, grocery stores, CVS and Rite Aid Parmacies, assorted restaurants, and anything else you need. The cabin is about 15 minutes away from Yosemite National Park, one of the first wilderness parks in the US. It's best know for it's waterfalls, meadows, Badger Pass ski areas, and ancient giant sequoias. Thirty minutes is the new Chukchansi Gold Casino. Fresno is 45 minutes away and has a zoo, shopping, Sam's Club, and Costco.
