This beautiful, spacious Lopez Island vacation rental has a nice yard, sometimes visited by deer, and easy access out the front yard right onto the beach! It's pet-friendly, and has gorgeous views of the Sound.
This charming rental home is right next to a boat launch, you can easily come by boat, or simply enjoy watching people from nearby smaller islands commute to Lopez. It's perfect for up to eight people and two dogs (for an additional $10 per pet, per night, and a $40 minimum per stay).
Inside this spacious vacation rental home, the open floor plan will make visiting together easy. The living room and large deck are set up to fully appreciate the incredible view.
The full kitchen is equipped with all you need to make a nice meal. The dining table has a nice view and seats six.
The vaulted ceilings are open to a loft upstairs, connected by a beautiful spiral staircase. Upstairs are two large bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and the loft which holds a futon. Downstairs contains a separate large room down a half flight of stairs with two twin beds, and is large enough for children to play in to keep the living room quieter for adults.
You will become lost watching the wildlife and otters, as well as boat traffic and ferries, across Hunter Bay! You'll never want to leave!
What a beautiful spot. Big, warm house. Lots of room to lounge, which we did a lot of. You should get some outside lights. It was dark outside. Great place.
Lopez is a great island. This house is big and roomy with lots of super comfy furniture. Price is reasonable. The view is spectacular. Some nicer basics like shower soap, better lighting and some nicer plates and glasses would have earned a 5 star review.
We rented this home over Thanksgiving in order to be close to Lopez family. Renting over this holiday bumped the price up 2 to 3 times the going rate. Had I rented at the normal rate, I probably would not be as critical of this home. Hands down, the best part of the this home is the view. The house itself is pretty tired. My biggest issue was the lack of light, especially in the kitchen. We had guests for dinner one night and had to have them bring silverware, as there were only 6 forks. Glassware was limited, too. Pans are old and dirty. There was no mattress pad on our bed, which I think is rather unsanitary. As it was Thanksgiving weekend, we were hoping to watch some football. This wasn't possible, since the TV is not connected to cable. When I texted the caregiver, his response was that this is old school on the island. Very disappointing and misleading. Why bother having a TV is you can't watch anything on it other than a few random videos that were there. The big bonus of this house was that we could bring our dog. All in all, this house met our needs but it isn't anything special.
Great little getaway location. View was amazing and the locals are the nicest people
We loved our time in the house - particularly the view of the bay. We saw seals almost every day and watched the world come and go on the public landing and house is well appointed and was warm in the cool fall weather. We had our elderly dog with us so we appreciated the ramp up to the door and the fact that there was a good sleeping space on the ground floor. We're already thinking about when we might visit again.
Very nice accommodations! The house was roomy, furniture was nice and comfortable, and the view was magnificent. It is a little bit of a drive to the store, but not too big of a deal. The crabbing was excellent right in the bay.
