what an amazing LOCATION... we brought our kayaks and bikes, and our son brought his boat over from ANACORTES. GREAT PLACE for a 4 year old and 7 year old, my grand kids.. we were able TO GO CLAMMING, kayaking and biking.. the house was super big, and we SO ENJOYED the ambiance. and waking up to those huge WINDOWS with our java was DIVINE. I would definitely return and our dog was welcome as well... WONDERFUL LOCATION.. and great home...
I really love the location of this house. The view is beautiful and the semi-private beach is wonderful. However, it was very poorly maintained and supplied. No soap for upstairs and only one extra roll of toilet paper for 6 people for 5 days.
The place was very dirty, too. Our dog pulled a filthy sock out from under one of the couches that looked like it had been there a year and the windows had huge cobwebs in the corners.
I really love the location of this house. It's very much like having your own private beach. And it's fun to watch the boats come in and out. The only complaint I have is a rather big one - it's very poorly maintained. Super dirty. Our dog actually found a filthy sock under the coach that looked like it had been there a year. Huge cobwebs in the corner of the windows.
If it weren't for the filth, I would give this place 5 stars. I really enjoyed our stay last year and I was very disappointed this year.
Nice view and spacious house.
Wifi was not working, the toiletries were not provided
When we arrived at the house the view took our breath away! However once we began to unpack and settle in, several problems appeared. Number one was the fire hazard of the space heater in the lower bedroom. There were scorch marks on the outlet and the plug itself was burned and had some exposed wire. (Fortunately the local liaison was able to deliver a brand new heater the very next morning, but we spent a cold night. The second star is for the quick and respectful customer service!) The lights in the kitchen and the full living area were extremely dim, it was hard to see at night to read or do anything, really. Also, if you have children, the railings in the loft are not up to safety codes, my six year old could fit his entire body between the bars. We had to basically keep our children on the ground floor the entire stay, or watch them like a hawk if they went up to the second floor.
Also, don't believe the pictures of the living area. The stove shown is not usable. There is only electric heat.
It was a lovely location, but we were disturbed by the safety violations involved in the house.
Through no fault of anyone's a water main broke under the house and my sister, who had arrived first, had to move out of our selected first choice. Lee, the manager, was quick to find a suitable (Nearly an upgrade) and when we arrived we were not inconvenienced for our stay and vacation. Upon my return they had reimbursed me for two, almost three nights, of stay. I didn't even have to request it. Would I stay again? YOU BET! Our new place was large with three bedrooms. Cozy fireplace and breathtaking view. We bar-B-Q'd, and enjoyed the fluffy beds and comforters. Thank you Lee! Shelley Seely
