The Cliff House is situated on a hill above Tomales Bay. It is an open split level home with exposed beams and a huge great-room. The beautiful master bedroom has a king size bed and attached full bath. It looks out through sliding glass doors over a large redwood deck with views of the bay. Downstairs there are two additional rooms and a full bath. Room #1 has two twin beds and garden views of the property and a view of the bay. Room #2 has a queen size bed and a twin bed and has a view of the bay. All rooms are appointed with comfortable bedding and have closets for storage. There is an additional optional den on the main floor that sleeps 2 (additional fee).
A fully equipped kitchen is located on the upper floor with a stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer along with cookware and place settings for your gourmet meal. Adjacent to the kitchen is large dining table that can seat 10 and is parallel to the great-room's wall of windows! This is a perfect setting to enjoy a meal with a view, have a glass of wine, play a board game, and have many memorable conversations and moments. The great-room is a large common area on the upper level with a focus towards the wall of windows. There is a custom crescent shaped seating area that can accommodate 6 people around a round table and brick fireplace. Additionally there is a full sized couch and two large padded over-sized chairs perfect for reading a book or watching the birds swoop by in front of the windows. There is an HD flat screen TV and DVD player in the great-room and another flat screen TV and DVD player in the master bedroom. There are two large speakers in the main part of the house that connect to a stereo; perfect for background music. The large redwood deck is off the master bedroom and also accessible down from the great-room via a sliding glass door and set of stairs. There is a large outside landing with a table perfect to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. The main deck has an additional table, chairs, and lounge seats along with a charcoal BBQ. This private house sits on One acre in a wooded and park like setting. There is ample parking under a 3 car covered car port.
The Cliff House is walking distance to two beaches and is the perfect place to entertain, vacation, retreat, relax, rejuvenate, escape, or simply center yourself.
This nice, big house is just right to get together with family and friends. We enjoyed the views of the bay and closeness to the Shell Beach, which is small, but good for children due to the calm water.

At Cliff House we always find a perfect balance of (1) welcoming "cosiness" enabling us to be together to cook, play cards, watch DVDs, and plan the next day's family hike in the midst of surrounding nature, and (2) "spaciousness" allowing everyone her, or his or their individual space.

Property is nice and clean. It has beautiful views and well stocked kitchen. The owner is very considerate. We were locked out of a room and she called back promptly to share the location of spare keys.
The home reflects comfort and a relaxed hospitality. Needs are anticipated, beds are comfy, everything is well appointed and clean, the kitchen is well suited to preparing meals, the long table encourages conversation. Located a few minutes beyond the main village of Inverness, and an easy drive to Pt. Reyes Station with its small town feel, access is easy for day trips out to the tip of Pt. Reyes or to Drake’s Beach and the lighthouse. Stop by Park Headquarters at Olema to learn where the best trails are, or elephant seals, etc. and the lay of the land. It is wise to check open hours for restaurants, cafes and shops before visiting. Or just curl up with a good book.
The house is well equiped, was very clean, and everything worked. The owner is very accommodating. The location couldn't be better with great views of Tomales Bay. There is plenty of parking with covered parking for three cars and a large drivway that can accommodate several more. We have stayed here many times and will so again.
Our house is located 1.3 miles from Inverness and the property is minutes away from Point Reyes National Seashore. Within the park there are many beautiful hiking trails, great wildlife sitings including whale watching, fabulous beaches, and a bay for swimming, kayaking, and sailing. The visitors center is informative and there is a Miwok Indian village just outside the center. Our children loved to play among the dwellings there when they were youngsters. The wild flowers in the spring are wonderful!!! If you don't want to drive you can simply walk to a couple of local beachs on Tomales Bay: Chicken Ranch and Shell Beach. Both are great for a picnic, a stroll, a swim or kayaking. After the exercise you will be hungry and there are two local cheese makers in the area; The Cowgirl Creamery in Pt. Reyes Station and Nicasio Cheese Factory (organic). There is a great farmers market on Saturday mornings in Point Reyes Station in summer and the Bovine Bakery there has the best bear claws ever!!! For pizza there is no better place than Cafe Reyes in Pt. Reyes and for brunch the classic Pine Cone diner harkens back to a time past full of cheeseburgers and thick milkshakes.
