Sleeps 10, with 2 full bathrooms, across from Arrowhead lake. Close to skiing!
Fully-renovated lake-view mountain log cabin with all of the comforts of home—less than 100 miles from NYC. Enjoy private access to four beaches (and three pools) in summer, gorgeous fall foliage, two nearby ski resorts in winter, and seasonal allergies in spring. Or just hang out by the wood-fired potbelly stove, cook some dinner in the well-appointed kitchen, and chill.
Wait! You're still reading? Awesome, here are more details. Nestled back from the main road, our home has the ambiance of a real log cabin—literally everything inside is wood—but with upgraded interior amenities you'd expect in 2018. Fully appointed, brand new kitchen, with ample supplies for every cook, sous chef or saucier. Spectators can hang out in the kitchen at the bar-height wooden table while drinking wine and providing encouragement.
Three first-floor bedrooms include one King bed, one Queen, two bunks, a memory-foam futon and even a roll-away bed if needed. Upstairs the cozy enclosed loft bedroom (my favorite room) has a Queen bed and TONS of character. The main living space features a comfortable dining room and living room centered around a wood stove, complete with a library of DVD's, Xbox games, streaming Netflix access and high-speed wireless internet. Two full baths, a laundry nook, a three-season enclosed porch and an outdoor porch round out the living space.
The immediate neighborhood, Arrowhead Lakes, has four private pools, lakefront beaches, fishing, boating, tennis, several playgrounds to explore, and structured kids' (and adults') activities. You also have full access to a brand new lodge with a library, fitness center and meeting spaces. Oh, and it's right next to one of the larger state game lands for hunting, if that's your thing.
Within 20 miles are two ski resorts: Camelback Mountain and Jack Frost/Big Boulder, with three others less than an hour away. Also within a half-hour drive are FOUR Waterparks, Mount Airy Casino, Pocono Raceway, Split Rock Golf Resort, and countless trails, state parks you get the idea.
Finally, we need to let you know that Arrowhead Lakes Community Association charges a $20 rental fee, plus $15-per-vehicle gate card fee payable to the Association. This must be paid within 48 hours of check-in (but don't worry, we'll set it all up for you and walk you through the process). In the summer months, there is an $8/day (or $30/week) amenities fee to use the outdoor pools, recreation center, fitness center, game room, tennis courts, etc. This fee only applies to those 12 and older, and is completely optional during the winter.
We would love to share our cabin with you. Please let us know if you have any special requests and we will do our very best to accommodate them!
Thanks for reading—we look forward to hosting you.

About Michael Lowenstern
We love traveling and staying in other people's homes—and we love hosting friends who pass through Brooklyn in our home. So we decided to branch out and host in our little cabin. We are both classical clarinetists and teachers, and we can be found playing duets at home fairly regularly (to the horror of our teenage daughter). If you're feeling brave: youtube.com/earspasm is where you'll find us playing and teaching.
Michael Lowenstern purchased this House in 2016
Why Michael Lowenstern chose Pocono Lake
This cabin caught our eye recently and we just loved the vibe of it—it reminds us of our old summer camp in Interlochen Michigan, because we stayed in log cabins as campers. This one is decidedly more upscale than those spartan places, but the smell of the leaves, the wood stove, the cozyness of the bedrooms — we just fell in love with it.
What makes this House unique
The kitchen is awesome to cook in, with brand new appliances. The layout of the cabin allows people to congregate in the main space, or retreat to their own private spaces whenever the spirit moves them. Oh, and the Arrowhead Lakes community is full of things to do, including private pools, beaches, a full recreation center.

A lovely modern cabin that fit the bill perfectly for a combined family get away weekend.
We were delighted with the atmosphere of the cabin ... the beautiful lighting, the cozy beds and the immaculate cottage bathrooms ... for a long ski weekend. There was plenty of space for us to stretch out while a rustic large family room and dining area kept us close for movies, meals, listening to music, charades and stories of our best ski run moments. The kids loved the bean bag chairs and s’mores around the outdoor fire pit. We would recommend this cabin, central to Jack Frost/Big Boulder, to anyone looking for a home stay rather than a hotel, when in the area. It was quieter than quiet in the evening...an immediate decompress for an out of town getaway.
A Cosy Cabin equipped with all you need for a peaceful holiday!
My friends and I rented this cabin for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We were 6 adults and 4 kids. This cabin had everything we needed! There are a lot of games for kids and adults. You never need to go out! The kids loved the bunk bed!
Michael, the host, has done a marvelous job. He answers all your questions in very short time.
Well appointed and cozy!
We had a great stay with our party of 9, including 4 children. The house is well stocked and organized, and the spaces were cozy with space for everyone. This house also has charm and the community amenities are great. Owner was easy to deal with and available for questions. We had a relaxing and fun trip!
We loved it! Walking distance to beach, short drive to the pools. Excellent linens and great big towels. Appreciated the extra pillows and blankets. Great sharing spaces. Could fit all of us around the table for meal times and we loved watching the thunderstorm from the enclosed deck. Had a Kinect with some great games that kept us entertained during the stormy day. Alexa was awesome - used to play music and turn on/off lights. Tip: use Alexa to play white noise at night - gets so quiet you'll hear everything. The hot cocoa keurig cups were a hit and we got a kick out of all the fun helpful hints (like how to use the keurig and the wifi etc). We'll definitely be back.
We had a wonderful stay. The house was roomy enough to comfortably house our group of 8. The owners were very helpful and responsive and there are helpful little signs and labels everywhere which I really appreciated. The easy 5 minute walk to the beach and a wonderful firepit out front were our favorite aspects. Thanks so much!
Cozy and clean
We were super happy with our stay at this cabin. From the moment we walked in, it smelled fresh and clean. Cabin is beautiful, rooms were cozy, beds were comfortable and the cabin had enough space for the 7 of us. We do have plans to return to this cabin.
