Great spot but needs a king bed

place was beautiful
Thank you for the review! We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon
Only one complaint............
Longtime VRBO renter. Have never been displeased with a VRBO property. This home is no exception...........however, full-size bed in master bedroom is disappointment vs typical Queen or King, compounded by fact contour sheet was too small for mattress, becoming disengaged at corners with each rollover. Otherwise, property was as-advertised. Positioning of hot tub was excellent, sitting above house with view of nearby mountains. Full moon rising over mountain peak offered exceptional photo op on clear nights. Had full-grown deer cross patio. Distance from Plaza did not present obstacle worthy of complaint. Appliances like new. No air conditioner, but not absolutely necessary, even on hottest week of year (love that Santa Fe summer weather!). Also no TV in master bedroom---while perhaps unusual, not a deal-breaker for us. Would rent home again without reservation.
Thank you for the review! Regarding the beds, both of them are queen-sized, but the daybed in the den is a full. I'm not sure where the confusion occurred here, but we apologize if anything did not meet your expectations. Also, for future reference, the owners have installed mini-split air conditioners (though we agree that you likely won't need them!). We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon.
Canyon View Retreat
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great. The home is adorable and very comfortable! We often choose to cook at home. I was surprised that there was no cooking oil. I also wanted to let you know there were ants in the kitchen and the hot tub smells very musty, maybe a bit like mildew and/or urine. These are not complaints as you can see it was a 5 star experience, just FYIs and things that could be addressed to make the experience even better!
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad that you enjoyed the home overall.
We generally don't supply cooking ingredients, as every guest has different preferences, and quality cooking oil is prohibitively expensive for us to provide. If any future guest needs supplies delivered to the home, we are happy to set that up for the cost of the goods plus the labor for delivery.
Regarding the ants, this is a city-wide issue and does not reflect the cleanliness of the home. We do bi-weekly pest treatments at all of our homes, but the problem is so pervasive, that ants can't be prevented entirely. We will set up ant traps in the home to try to mitigate the problem further, but anyone coming to Santa Fe in the summer should be prepared to encounter these ants. Luckily, they are totally harmless, and do not threaten the sanitation of the home.
The hot tub is filled with local well water, so it certainly shouldn't have a smell to it... I am sending our hot tub technician to drain the tub and refill it with the appropriate chemicals. Future guests should be aware that the water does have a slightly green tint due to the chemicals that we use. This is normal and safe.
We're so sorry that these situations were less-than-ideal during your stay, but we're glad that they didn't ruin the enjoyment of your trip overall. We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon.
Amazing house and location
Really great place. Wish the beds would have been more comfortable. Perfect otherwise.
Thank you for the review! I'm sorry that the beds were not to your liking... We do replace the mattresses frequently, and we use a medium-firm mattresses. Unfortunately, these may not be ideal for everyone, but we find that they are the most suitable for the most amount of people. We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon.
