Why stay in a small hotel room when you can have all this; 1,100 sq. feet beautifully furnished with a chalet-like interior, stone F/P rising to a 20' high cathedral ceiling, 2 queen bedrooms.. 1 daybed/trundle bdrm., fully equipped kitchen, bath, - and so much more for you money. Our goal is to make your stay an extra pleasant memory for your visit here. We appreciate your choosing Sweet Home Place.
Our little dog Allie is our beloved mascot. She loves riding on the golf cart when I show the property. We live on the property adjacent to Sweethome Place, and we are hands-on Owners as to taking special care and attention to maintenance of our Vacation, Business, and relocation Rental. We have been in this area for over 20 years and love living in this peaceful valley.
Charlotte Collins (or husband, Jerry) purchased this townhome in 1997
We love the area here and own 3 pieces of property on Sweethome Road. All the neighbors in this little valley have become like a family. We chose to build our final home out here because of the beauty and tranquility that it offers, as well as the friendly people. There is an abundance of birds, deer, and other small wildlife that we enjoy watching. The entire southern side of our home is all windows which is like a new canvas of beauty to observe each morning that I arise and drink my coffee. This canvas rotates and renews each spring, fall, summer and winter for the viewer to see.
Sweethome Place offers a cozy chalet like interior with lots of stone, brick, and western cedar. It has the feel of just what your were looking for in a home away from home. You might want to just kick back in the recliner in front of a cozy little fire with a hot cup of chocolate, tea, or wine. Or, you may want to venture out and visit all the many sights and attractions in our area. Either way, if you want to cook up your own gourmet meal, you may do so in your fully equipped kitchen or go out for a fine dining experience.
Dear Rhonda, We appreciate your review and comments very much. We will certainly consider trying to get another TV wired up and ready for the upstairs bedroom. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay and love to hear from our travelers about anything else we can do to make our guests have even more of an enjoyable stay, Thanks, Charlotte
Overall we were very pleased with our stay here. Charlotte was a gracious host who took time out to walk through the property to show me around and explain certain things. Will use this place again if we have another huge family gathering in the future. Thank you Charlotte!
There was a wedding event at Owens Farm and the location is very convenient as it takes no time at all to get to it from here. We were close enough when the festivities were over to go to Ashland and Nashville. Everything you need is provided here: every amenity you need in a kitchen, plenty of towels, washclothes, toiletries (in case you forget something) etc. The only two drawbacks...lots of dead lady bugs but I cleaned them up and the DVD player didn't work for us. However, I didn't notify the owners to give them a chance to help us out as we didn't know this for half of our stay and the other half we stayed pretty busy anyway. I would recommend keeping the counter tops, shelves and sink area in the bathroom minimally decorated so there is a place to sit toiletries etc. Overall, the customer service and flexibility the owners gave us was supreme and made the minor issues easy to overcome.
Very nice place with all you need for a pleasant stay. We needed an extended stay and the owners were very accommodating.
This was a lovely house to rent. I only wish that our other company could have come with us. It was a tremendous amount of space for the 2 of us, but we enjoyed being in the area. Very quiet and cozy. I hope that Charlotte's husband will be fully recovered from his health problems and things will work out okay for them. We would love to stay here again some day if we ever come back to the Nashville area. We were visiting with family who had a commitment at the Cheatham area campground and we were able to spend time with them. One thing that I did miss was a hair dryer, but it was so hot that it didn't take long for my short hair to dry. This might be one thing that others would find helpful. Thank you for a lovely place to stay.
Our hostess, Charlotte, was a real help. Very sweet. The house is a duplex, but no issues/noise with the other renters. While cozy, the home is clean, comfortable and nicely maintained. We brought our two doxies with us, and they had a great time walking around in the yard. The home is certainly situated a few miles from I25, so it's quiet, yet you can easily get to Springfield or Nashville. We really liked it! Would stay again!
We too came for a wedding with my daughter's family (6 of us). I spent a great day just hanging out there with the grandkids. It was one of the most peaceful days I've had in a long time. We were all very comfortable with the variety of bed types and space efficient layout. I wondered if one bathroom would support all of us, but we never ran out of hot water. The washer and dryer was an unexpected bonus that we ended up needing. We were trying to figure out when we could go back as we were leaving. Thanks!
