Fantastic Florida home on canal
We just returned from a week long stay at this Cape Coral home! The house was spacious enough for 6 adults and two children! Everything was super clean and we loved the pool. The closed in patio was great to keep bugs out, making it possible to swim any time of day! The canal was fun to watch occasional passing boats and we went fishing every single night! The afternoon sun was delightful and the solid closing doors on the patio made it easy to block the setting sun (which was gorgeous) if necessary. Bob was super easy to work with and beyond helpful!
Spacious, relaxing get-away
A friend referred to Cape Coral, FL, as a "middle class paradise." After a month's stay at this location, I have to say that I agree with this assessment. The weather and accommodations met our expectations. This was a welcome escape from our northern Minnesota winter.
The house is roomy with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two eating areas (one outside and one inside) and two separate living room areas. It provides enough space for hosts and guests to spend time together or alone whenever needed. The outdoor pool has excellent afternoon sun exposure and overlooks one of Cape Coral's noted canals. It gave us a gathering place where we could enjoy morning coffee, afternoon sunning and swimming, and evening conversations and card games.
The property was very clean and with little clutter it was rather easy to maintain. Since I stayed a month, I had the cleaning staff come in once to clean the place between groups of guests. Though they did an excellent job cleaning, I felt I was taken advantage of when they overcharged me for services. I appreciate the fact that Bob C., the property owner/manager, indicated his intentions to reimburse me for the overcharge once I informed him of the situation.
Morning excursions to local and area attractions were a mainstay of our visit. We walked the beaches of Fort Meyers Beach and Sanibel Island. We hiked Six Mile Cypress Slough and Alligator Creek wildlife preserves, viewed Manatees at Manatee Park and took an airboat tour in Everglades City, FL. We also took day trips to Tampa/St. Pete and Key West and saw preseason Major League Baseball games.
Comfortable home away from home!
This house was so comfortable and spacious for us - 2 couples from Wisconsin! We were able to relax inside the house and also in the lanai/pool area where we could watch boaters on the canal and bask in the beautiful sunshine. There are power doors that allowed us to open up the pool area during the day and close it off at night. Nicely furnished and decorated, as well as clean. Appreciated that there were enough paper products, soap, detergent, coffee, etc. for the 2 weeks we were there. Nice quiet neighborhood for taking walks and looking for the burrowing owls. Also nice to have a garage. Bob was great to work with and he provided us with helpful information about the area. Definitely recommend this vacation home.
