Guestbook comments from the owner

We rented your cabin for a week with our family and found it to be perfect, the spacious bedrooms working great for our newly merged family. The cabin sits on a hill far enough away from downtown to offer a serene setting on the porch and deck, but an easy ten minute drive to downtown. It's also not far from other area tourist attractions including the national park. Set in a private community amid other vacation rentals and some year-round folks we discovered, the setting gave us a sense of being in the forest even though there were neighbors. The kitchen had all the things necessary to prepare our meals, plus a large gas grill and outdoor seating so we could eat on the porch when we chose. The cabin’s pool table and shuffleboard game table in the loft provided some diversion for the kids while we were able to relax in the hot tub and enjoy the scenery. The furnishings were comfortable and the cabin was well stocked with towels and linens. Since the unit had a washer and dryer we were able to keep up with a week’s worth of activity. We will surely consider your cabin for our next visit to the Gatlinburg area.

Nice weekend with a few issues. . .

  • 3 of 5

At the end of the day, the cabin was clean, the location was fantastic, the price was right and we had a great time! There were a few areas that could have been improved- for our first night, we did not have any comforters or blankets for any of the beds and it was very chilly! Sheets only and a handful of towels. The shower on the 3rd floor leaked through the ceiling and the very nice maintenance employee (who responded quickly!) said that he knew it was there, but didn't have time to fix it. Two of the chairs in the dining room were broken- which they removed (but did not replace) quickly and the bedrooms are very, very tiny. The king size bed is just a bed and a small nightstand, that is all. Again, we had a great time, the house was clean and I would stay again. Just know what you are getting into.

Perfect space for extended family gathering

Great location. Clean. We enjoyed percs of playground and pool. The kitchen amenities were lacking so recommend you bring your own.

Decent property, we would stay again.

  • 4 of 5

Overall the cabin was good. We had 6 adults and 2 kids staying and everyone had a bed. Their were a few disappointments however.

The first was the dining room table. We eat all of our meals as a family and needed to accommodate 8 around the table, there was plenty of room but not enough chairs. The two kids ate at the patio table on the front porch.

The next issue was on the main deck. The deck was nice and big with a hot tub in the back but once again not enough chairs. We were lucky in the fact that the weather was perfect and we wanted to take advantage of this and sit on the deck. We ended up taking 2 dinning room chairs to the deck, it worked but sitting in dinning room chairs for any length of time was very uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have some of the lawn chairs that are in the picture.

The next issue was with what we used as the master bedroom which is on the main floor. The bed was a king and very comfortable but there was not room to move around the bed. It was only the bed and nightstand in the room with nowhere to keep or store your things. I slept on the left side of the bed and would have to crawl over the wife to get in and out of bed because I could not walk around the bed.

One of the selling points of this cabin was it was close to the trolley, it's not! We only had one car so we were hoping that the trolley would help if someone wanted to split from the group and do there own thing. The trolley stop is about 1.2 mi away, not a bad walk to the stop down hill, but the way back was a challenge especially with kids.

Overall we would stay again, we would just be better prepared.
