This is tough to write because I really want to keep this secret but here it goes....
We came to celebrate two milestone birthdays with the whole family aging from 8 to 80 years old. I have to admit, though I had been to this part of Mexico several times, I was nervous for how they would like a rural place like the outskirts of Sayulita. After arriving at dusk and riding the taxi on a dirt road in the jungle with only the lights of the van, we pulled into a beautiful Oasis at Punta Sayulita. We were welcomed by Jean Paul, who I can't speak more highly of. He was the most gracious, honest, kind, accessible concierge and person I've met in Mexico.
Every aspect of the community was beautifully designed and thought out. The staff was very friendly and my family all took a deep breath. Then we arrived at Casa Buena Vista. My family all couldn't keep their mouths closed while staring in awe at the architecture, the grounds and the amazing views. The casa had the option to make you feel like you were truly a part of the outside by sliding open all the doors and windows or closing up and having the air on but still have the most amazing views from anywhere in the casa. All the modern amenities including the very comfortable beds made us all truly feel relaxed and comfortable. And having our own pools was a great bonus.
Then there is the beach club, restaurant and private community beach. Again, the grounds were perfectly kept and beautifully designed. Anything we wanted was brought to us with great pleasure. We surfed, paddle boarded, kayaked and swam in the ocean and the pools. They even had life vests for the kids. We planned a family dinner at the restaurant and Rigo and Ruiz were gracious hosts. The drinks and the food were so fresh, delicious and incredible. We even brought the left overs home to the casa and ate the next day. The best ceviche and salsa's we had on the trip.
Getting into town could be done in a few ways. A long jungle walk, a fun adventurous golf cart ride through the rugged dirt road or a taxi. We chose the golf carts and loved having control of our own transportation.
We ended up on our last day having a medical emergency for my youngest son and the staff was there for us every step of the way. We can't speak highly enough about the food, the care and the hospitality that we received with the help of Jean Paul and his staff. Thank you
